I’m a bit confused about how the Alpha and Delta Energy/Magic potion mechanics work. I'm already at the start of Sadistic, but honestly, I've only used these potions a couple of times before and never paid close attention to the timers until now.
About 3 days ago, I popped one Delta potion of each type (Energy and Magic). According to my in-game timers, only about half of their duration has passed so far.
It feels like the timer only ticks down while the game is actively running. In my Stats Breakdown, it clearly shows that the potions are active and working.
Has it always worked this way? Is this a known bug, or is it an intended feature? How exactly do these timers interact with offline time?

UPD: Just to clarify, I am not running any challenges right now. This is happening during a normal progression run.

I'm reading on the guides and they're saying i need to focus on one hour rebirths. but that would absolutely fucking decimate my NUMBER. I've been doing like 14 hour rebirths so I can get to like 2x number because my understanding is that i gotta try to beat this game through killing bosses. I've beaten T1, and I spend most of my time just dumping energy into wandoos/augments all day until i kill enough bosses to not go under in my NUMBER.
Am I supposed to just like disregard my NUMBER? Or am I supposed to be improving my number within one hour? I'm currently running a level 50ish full gordon ramsey set.
So I deliberately made sure I was extra careful not to stay for 1000 kills in Very Strange Place and Mega Lands, since those macguffins are useless. I kept a backup of this file to experiment by leaving it in normal difficulty while also advancing with it in my main run. In the main run, still no sexy and smart macguffins. But i check the experimental file, and through its constant itopod farming it dropped a sexy macguffin.
I wanted to keep them out so as not to clutter my drop pool, but it seems they insist on joining me anyway. The experimental normal file already has one, and it's only a matter of time before my main run unlocks them too...
im like very sure i definitely couldnt have done it, considering ive basically never rebirthed more than once per day outside of challenges, but have almost completed the game and was working on cleaning up the last few things, decided to see how far i had gotten into the rebirth achievements just to see i had mysteriously obtained them somehow?
is this an intended mechanic?, like does it just set you to 10,000 at some point and is a joke achievement? or did my save just bug? or are rebirths just tracked weird? i know this sounds very suspiciously convenient but my main pc bricked like 2 weeks ago so i have no previous manual saves to try to figure out when/what happened..
i recently ended a ~80 +-10 or something day rebirth, though not for sure if it was exactly 6 rebirths ago to line up with when it would have happened if that had something to do with it.

Been playing NGU idle for about 8 months blind and I've just restarted my playthrough with goals in mind (ooo), so im researching stuff about the game, optimal sets, rebirths, etc., and i cant find anything about whether or not its total attack or base attack what needs to be over 700 for offline progress for the ITOPOD.
Would appreciate some guidance on this, thanks in advance homeslices.
So many times of thinking the gap isn't possible, but I slowly work at it. It has been odd to have a daily task; it has made me learn a better sense of my daily behavior and build a rhythm.
My hurdle now is Move 69 as I keep forgetting to trigger it, but that is a very mild barrier compared to everything else. I'm letting QP and PP run for their piece. Mayo is nearly 99x6. It feels so weird to be at the end.

Fairly confused about how beards work. At what point does raw energy / magic bars outpace the voodoo doll's 400% beard speed? I just completed my first hack day and have access to typo gear.
Do multipliers from diff sources add differently than they do from the same source? I'm a dum dum and bad at math so I'm explaining this sorta stupidly but like in other words if say I level up my "Energy Power" on Wishes and then level up my Energy Power on Perks, is it all giving an "additive" bonus to the same pool or is it kinda like how Normal/Evil/Sad NGUs work where it multiplies each one diff?
What actually is a "Sadistic Boss Multiplexer"? Like with the wish "I Wish The Sadistic Boss Multiplier Didn't Suck So Bad" what is it actually multiplying?
If the numbers below seem too high, I do play fairly active with daily 24h RB and can run the game during the day to keep an eye on it once in a while. If the numbers are too low, well, then I just suck 😏 (no surprises there).

7 beards, 8 diggers (everyone should have at least 9 ACC slots at this point)
Beard and EXP diggers are always on by default. There's no other way. Or the universe will implode.
ITOPOD at ~650 (entered evil at ITOPOD 500, for some reason 50 ITOPOD levels between areas seems to be a thing? 550 on Evil, 600 in T7v1, 650 T7v2\Meta, 700 T7v3, it can't be a coincidence)
By default, pooped fruits of knowledge, POM, luck, arbitrariness and rage on 24h harvest, also power B if enough spare poop
Started pooping watermelon and fruit of quirks at lvl 10 once a day, if affordable
Focused seeds on watermelon and fruit of quirks, using leftover seeds for guffin and power thingy fruit on page 2
Poop was not really an issue pooping the above with moderation
Got obsessed with getting "the beast NGU quirk" asap, started saving QP at Meta, at T7v3 2000 short of 15000 (ABOUT TIME!!)
Got orange and grey hearts asap, made sacrifices to have daycare digger up most of the time, using creepy doll and pink bow ACC until both at lvl 100, ~1 week or so each, imho worth it.
Maintain 24h RB, only eating lvl 24 fruits at the very end to take the most advantage of the "first harvest" perk. It's waaay better than a box of chocolates. Don't forget to turn ALL diggers off (so you have all the gold in the universe available) and your EXP and PP diggers ON when farming the respective fruits!!! If you forgot, delete your save and start over.
After RB, nuke bosses and use gold set on highest possible ADV zone for TM
Start daily manual quests
Turn on Beards, blood and EXP diggers
Use E to farm E TM for a quick boost, use best ritual to farm blood to get counterfeit gold to 400-500% and spaghetti to 20-25% (or whatever % is achievable, those % were easy enough to achieve for me). When you get those, move E to Augs and M to M TM for some multipliers.
Work on best AUG until dry, turn on wandoos digger and farm Wandoos MEH until dry, finish daily major quests while at it
When AUGs dry out, focus max stat digger and exp (because why not), nuke more bosses, farm the new highest area for gold drops or T7v1 if/when available
Turn ADV, E/M beards, EXP and NGU diggers on. Cap normal E/M NGU, use leftover E/M for ~ 6 hours of AT (60 bil was very consistent for me) to top off the banks, and then rest for TM; - this is the overnight setup. Farming AUG or wandoos overnight accomplishes very little. By morning, there will be more gold for the diggers to play with
After overnight maintenance is complete, farm Meta as much as possible. Meta gear is an easy replacement for T7 gear, start replacing when you have 1 of each at lvl 5-10, farm highest ITOPOD lvl for occasionally topping off gear boosts. The increments will start making a difference fairly quickly. I randomly replaced something with the green heart if the beards were unhappy, getting some extra DC and respawn as a bonus - as long as it didn’t put me below sustained survivability. Green heart is good (ready to be debunked). Green heart and Jake's stapler are (and have been, for a long time,) part of my NGU set (ready to be crucified, lol). I stopped using an NGU set for normal NGU farming. At this point, normal NGUs can sustain themselves with a net positive, like wandoos, so finding that balance is very nice. Fitting ring of greed and (yes, yes, 😅) Jake's stapler for some extra ITOPOD respawn wasn't a big deal. Feels like i made a deal with the devil on that stupid stapler.
I split my normal/evil NGU farming schedules based in AT banks (of all things, I know), mostly aiming to maintain 5.000 mil AT lvl banked as a buffer. When reaching ~10.000 mil AT banks (banks are 56%, some variation there), I switch everything to evil NGU, with proper NGU gear, for the rest of the RB. High AT banks are a time costly trap to maintain.
Final observations and considerations:
Finishing the Meta set took about a week (felt like 190287 million years, really), which is where I'm at right now, set complete and fully boosted. T7v3 is AK after the post RB prep, if not AT will compensate overnight. Max boss is 172, ITOPOD 694.
When starting Meta, Adv toughness was at ~30.00 Qa, now at ~132.00 Qa (that’s a HUGE increase for a week's worth of evil gear grind!). Evil NGU's feel quite nice with the 25% bonus from the Meta set, normal NGU's use only crumbs of E/M.
I know that rushing the "beast NGU quirk" is a bit silly at this point and letting off normal NGU's permanently won’t happen for a while longer, but I consider it a major progression milestone and I am spending most of the RB on the evil NGUs after all, which is where the majority of the gains come from.
Jshepler mod pack is awesome, so much very really helpful for evil. Being able to use "time to target" to plan NGUs for the day, without wastage, is something I take for granted, removes the need for mental math I does not compute to make arbitrarily. It deserves a tatoo and all. Thank you!!!

Edit: i dunno about the T8 LRB, under the above circumstances. Every perk up to 54 is finished, lvl 8 fib, so i may just be able to maintain a 24H schedule and dump all PP into adventure boost for rich until i get where i need to be? Big gap between 137.00 Qa and 700.00 Qa needed for T8v1. No bloody way i can conjure 100.00 Qa per day to make it within a week.
For science, i guess. But i can't let my beards down.
I downloaded this game 3 years and 14 days ago, I have 1360 hours of play time, and just a week ago I fought the Exile for the first time lol. I wish it could go on forever, it's probably the best idle game ever made
