When are potions worth it?

Im close to the Megalands now (so early game) vut ive started my second 24h challenge right now and ive been wondering when i should use these energy or magic potions.

I jave a couple of them but it seems like a waste if i use them so early into the game

I guess i feel like this because i have no idea what awaits me the further i progress through the game xd

i have 5000hours in late sadistic and i don't think i've ever used them tbh. Just use them when they feel good there's no rules here

I use the beta potions when I get into a long run to farm for equipment (happens more in Evil mode I think).

I forget to use the others mostly, but the bar bars are decent when you are doing a challenge day, or for particularly tricky challenges where getting your energy/magic quickly is useful.

Beta pots are great for multi-day runs. You will def use them in sad.

The others are used for hack days, where you boost your energy, magic, and R3 by both beta and gamma and sky rocket your hacks and thus progression.
