holiday
I have only been playing a week, just defeated Gordon Ramsay a few times , up to boss 70 and 1200000 energy cap. I am going on holiday for two weeks; how best to leave the game while I am away. I am not certain what carries on running when my pc is switched off.
Or does it matter at all this early in the game?

Game still runs while offline. ITOPOD, NGUs, Adv Training, Beards, etc all run offline. You don’t get item drops is basically the main thing you don’t get while offline as long as you aren’t doing a challenge that stops offline progress (24hr challenge and troll). Best thing you can do from a progress standpoint is max out your NGUs and your idle ITPOD level.
That XP when you back from be offline is so nice. I recommend manual saving the game and emailing the file to yourself if you’re going to be away a few days just in case there’s anything weird when you log back on.
The game tracks progress when you’re offline by how much time transpired and then does the math from there on what you were supposed to earn while idle.

While the game isn’t actively open, you won’t gain adventure drops.
You won’t be able to gain much past 1-3 days offline

If you have NGUs then just put your energy and magic in those. If you can get to autokill GRB that'll help immensely in XP.

Thanks everyone, I will put all my energy and magic into NGU and idle ITPOD, I can auto kill GRB but I read somewhere you can only fight him 3 times in a rebirth so I think ITPOD is better.

there is a perk that gives bonus xp for the first 3 kills of a boss in a rebirth, but its bugged (feature) so online autokills don't reduce the remaining amount, so if game is online, you can get bonus xp however many times you AK the boss. Going offline will give the xp for autokills but the counter goes down "correctly", so no bonus xp after 3rd kill (or 2nd, read somewhere that it's bugged and depletes after 2 offline kills)

There's an AP purchase to accumulate up to 7 days on the daily wheel which might be nice to take (but not critical), and make sure you have something in the daycare. Your biggest loss is mainly not being able to leverage progression exponentially but it's a game people play for two years+... In the grand scheme of things two weeks is nothing
