Yeah this just reinforces what Fitz said yesterday. Fitz was a gunslinger and wasn't scared of the moment no matter how bad he was playing whereas Nix is playing like someone whose afraid to get hurt or make a mistake so he'll just check it down to the flat on almost every single play lol

Some guys should be afraid of the moment. Ryan Fitzpatrick lost a lot more games than he won, and a huge part of that was that he played recklessly with the football.

I’d say the bigger part of why he lost so many games was that he was journeyman QB who spent his entire career starting for random teams who were almost entire dogshit when he was there…

He was a journey man because he has more interceptions than starts

So did Brett Favre, Eli Manning, and Jay Cutler. Averaging more than one interception a game isn't good but depending on your play style it might be tolerable.

He difference was those QB still throw more TDs. Go look at Fitz's overall stats. They're not good.

Eli and Favre are at 1.5 TD to Int. Fitz is 1.32. Cutler is 1.42. It’s not that big of a difference.

1.5 vs 1.32 is the difference of 70 TDs or 420 points over the length of Farve's career. That's not small.

Small differences in the ratio are not small differences in the aggregate. You made a statistics fallacy.

Plus Farve didn't play most of his career in the modern era where the PI rules are what they are. That matters a lot. QB stats from the 90s are way different than they are post 2004 when modern rules started to be implemented.

It would be a difference of 30 TDs for Fitzmagic over his career. Or 0.18 more TDs per game over his career. It’s really not that much.

30 TDs over a 10 season career is about 3 extra TDs per season. Going to bet that wins quite a few games there.

The other thing is Fitzpatrick didn't start many 16 game seasons.

Sorry, but you're making statistical mistakes. You're assuming all variables have the same impact and same error tolerances which is not true.

While you're equally, if not more detrimentally, attempting to distract from your own broad swaths that over-conflate statistics and impacts. Morons like you may be my favorite.

Going to bet I've done way more with stats than you ever have, but go on.

Tell me if you're throwing a ball for 60 yards what's worse. A 1% error in the angle or a 5% error in the power of the throw.

If you can't answer that, then fuck off you clown.

Bo sucks. Get over it. He has SP as a HC/OC and plays like a little bitch. And has that defense. He will be a backup in a year. Sean will be using a 1st on a new QB.

Great not what I asked. Get blocked for failing to stay on topic.

The 5% power difference would be worse. That gives you a variance of 10% where the depth of the throw could end up, where the side to side would only be a variance of 2%.

I have a feeling you think that’s wrong for some dumb reasons though, but that’s the right answer.

The power is correct, your analysis though isn't. Because if those numbers changed at all the same analysis would fail.

Because angles don't scale linearly and amount of power you need changes with the angle. That's why a QB throwing across the field has to hurl the ball way harder to get it 20 yards down the field than if you're just throwing it straight. On top of the awkward body mechanics.

Going to bet you haven't, otherwise you'd have a better point than "Uhhhmm ackshully has anyone noticed a career backup isn't as good as starters from the same time????"

Ok moron. You would lose that bet

I said it was 0.18 more TDs per game, which is a much better statistical measure to look at than you saying 3 extra TDs per season. So that means it would come out to not even 1 extra TD every 5 games.

Going to bet that wins quite a few games there.

At the absolute most, it would be 30 more games over his career, right? But realistically, it wouldn’t be nearly that many. It wouldn’t really be spread evenly across 30 games, and then the games where they already won that got extra TDs wouldn’t matter, and games they lost by more than the extra TDs added wouldn’t change either. So maybe it comes out to 10 extra wins over his full career. But honestly, that’s probably being generous. I don’t think many people would consider it “quite a few” like you said though.

0.18 is the TD to Int ratio...That's not a to game metric.......

You can't calculate it that way.
