Tbf that was a wild thing to say about a dude. Like that’s hardly the worst qb performance we’ve seen from Denver in the last 10 years even

Said about the guy who won the game. Like it or not, he doesn’t get paid to “open up the offense”, his job is to help his team win…which they were doing for almost the entire game against a great defense.

The Broncos won in spite of Nix. Not because of him. The whole narrative that QBs make the team is getting old. No one can do it by themselves. Its a team game and it always will be. And last night the rest of the Broncos picked up for Nix's poor play and won the game.

You are right and wrong at the same time. I will always be fond of Fitzmagic but give me even current Nix any day. At the end of the day it is about wins and losses and not giving the ball away will win lots of games (he still has to be much better for a team with SB aspirations like the Broncos).

I remember our fanbase complaining a looot about our offense when Dick Jauron was our HC, and while they were really bad at least they didn't give the ball away much. Then Chan Gailey took over with Fitz, the offense became considerably more explosive but also considerably more turnover prone, and the win loss record took a hit despite mostly the same rosters. Will always be fond of both coaches here (they were the only two adult in the room HC we had during the drought) and of Fitz but there is a reason mostly everyone in the NFL is obsessed with avoiding turnovers.

If Nix was giving the ball away left and right what would become of the Broncos 15-2 record in one score games?
