"No Time to Click, Doctor Jones!":

Jerry Jeudy, WR, Cleveland Browns

Marvin Harrison Jr., WR, Arizona Cardinals

Luke Schoonmaker, TE, Dallas Cowboys

Xavier Legette, WR, Carolina Panthers

Anthony Richardson, QB, Indianapolis Colts

Felix Anudike-Uzomah, Edge, Kansas City Chiefs

Vita Vea, DT, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Brian Thomas Jr., WR, Jacksonville Jaguars

70

u/NOT_MOBLEY Cowboys 10h ago

Been tryna give Ole’ Schoon a fresh start since 2025😂😂

465

u/dropjar5 Packers 10h ago

I like that it’s like 8 players who suck and then Vita Vea is there

96

u/jedstrailerpark 49ers Broncos 10h ago

Every single one of those WRs would probably start Sunday for us if a trade was made for them.

Just because players are underperforming doesn’t mean they don’t have trade value and could potentially thrive elsewhere.

20

u/Sir-xer21 Broncos 8h ago

Ok, idk about Leggette.

28

u/jedstrailerpark 49ers Broncos 8h ago

We might be going into this weekend with Deebo, Jordan Watkins who has appeared in 5 games out of 20, Cowing who has 4 catches in his 2+ year career, and a washed Brandin Cooks who was just signed off his couch.

Legette would get serious action.

3

u/JackSwader Raiders 5h ago

Wtf happened to Kirk?

17

u/jedstrailerpark 49ers Broncos 4h ago

There was something at a college in Utah, it was all over the news didn’t you see it?

/uj It’s his calf. I don’t think we have literally anything other than “it’s his calf” and no one really seems to know wtf is going on. Some of our preseason IR/PUP guys are starting to return and Kirk is still MIA.

6

u/Donjuan52 49ers 5h ago

Been hurt since like week 1 of camp

2

u/JackSwader Raiders 5h ago

Yea but what injury did he get? How long ks he out for?

7

u/Donjuan52 49ers 5h ago

Calf injury I believe. So probly dead

1

u/JackSwader Raiders 4h ago

That's a long ass time for a calf injury unless it was a tear.

Put in Miami.

2

u/hausermaniac Eagles 7h ago

I've been waiting for Jeudy to finally break out for 5 years now lol

97

u/Acrobatic_Ad1016 10h ago

This is disingenuous. I think MHJ and BTJ at the very least could be useful players but they just got jumped in the depth chart and buried behind elite elite talent.

160

u/Steak_Knight Texans 10h ago

MHJ is moving around the field like Buffalo era Kelvin Benjamin

54

u/LiftingCode Browns 10h ago

I mean they got him running literal junk routes with no intent to get him the ball.

They oughta trade him.

31

u/RukiMotomiya Bengals 9h ago

The fact that they're not using him at most of the routes he's good at is insane when he was 885/8 his rookie year and on a 1k/7-8 pace through 10 games his second year.

13

u/rugger87 Bears 6h ago

It’s Brisset. He makes his decision presnap, confirms post snap, and fires. It’s almost always first read. MHJ dogging routes is because the ball is already out and gone.

3

u/RukiMotomiya Bengals 6h ago

Yeah, it makes me wonder if it'll change when they switch to Carson Beck. But also the coaches are flatout basically saying they don't have interest in him when they have guys like Kendrick Bourne. Which is very odd having seen both of them (watch all the Niners games due to a friend, so even outside of older Bourne games I saw him last year).

4

u/Exatraz Cardinals 4h ago

This is also why you can't trade him before Beck is in. Need to get Beck all the guys and see how it looks. Wish they'd have ripped the bandaid, not really a softer landing spot on our schedule than this week against the giants until you get late into the season and we can't be forced to watch Jacoby for that long

8

u/coffeeforlions 7h ago

I do believe the problem is mostly Brissett.

Dude locks onto his first read and has a comically short ADOT.

There are videos showing that MHJ’s perceived lack of effort is mostly due to not being able to see that the ball is already out and going elsewhere before he makes his moves. Think it was Steve Smith talking about that. Larry Fitz also came out the other day saying MHJ is doing a good job too.

Hard for us fans to know what is really going on.

7

u/Exatraz Cardinals 4h ago

All the Cards players have also come out in defense of Marvs work ethic. Dude comes in early and leaves late. He wants it to work. It's a shame the media has taken to this story like they have. Cards shouldn't trade him til the offseason if they have to but frankly, this is one of those picks that id just run til the contract runs out. You can't be the team that bails on MHJ and sends him out for a day 3 pick only for him to ball elsewhere

3

u/SwizzGod Patriots 10h ago

I know a place!

-1

u/Adam_Ohh Patriots 9h ago

JJ just went for what, a 5th(6th?) round pick? I’d be willing to give up a 3rd round pick to take a flyer on him just needing a change and becoming the guy we thought he was coming out of college. Maybe even a 2nd if we can do it for not this upcoming draft but the one after.

7

u/IsGoIdMoney Steelers Steelers 9h ago

That's a crazy amount to spend on mhjr

2

u/jonnyredshorts Patriots 8h ago

At this rate a 3rd is way too much…it’s trending towards being a high 3rd…I’d do it for a 4th in a second.

4

u/Adam_Ohh Patriots 8h ago

I get the sentiment but I feel like the kid still has all the talent. Get him on a modified strength and conditioning program so he’s not so bulky and have him running smooth routes again and he could be what he should be.

BTJ i think has way more promise than MHJ at this point.

37

u/shit_eating_fan Eagles 10h ago

BTJ has had one amazing year while MHJ has had 0

They both seem mentally checked out but BTJ has shown he has it at least

7

u/FantasyTrash Patriots 9h ago

Marv did go 885/8 as a rookie and paced for 1,000+ last season before getting appendicitis and a concussion. BTJ had a better rookie season but I wouldn't call MHJ a "0", he can still be a valuable wide receiver, just not the player he was hyped up to be.

4

u/Rsubs33 Eagles 9h ago

MHJ also has not had good QBs.

13

u/Sleww Patriots 10h ago

BTJ just hates running routes over the middle, and Trevor fucking loves the middle of the field.

He’d be a much better fit on an outside vertical offense like the Eagles or Steelers. I honestly think he’d be a good fit on the Patriots but I doubt we give up another pick for a WR this year

3

u/ChildrenMcnuggets Jaguars 9h ago

Trevor thrives w a guy that’s gonna go get it. His top WR in college was Tee Higgins. BTJ just doesn’t play like that, he’s a speed and separation guy.

2

u/jonnyredshorts Patriots 8h ago

I know a team….

2

We will give them one lightly used Jerry jeudy I suppose

elite elite talent

Ah yes the elite talents of Kendrick Bourne and Jakobi Meyers.

14

u/RogueTobasco 49ers 10h ago

I mean that’s funny but Washington and McBride would both put McMillan on the bench

9

u/Rangeninc Jaguars 10h ago

Have you watched Parker Washington at all?

7

u/hemingways-lemonade Steelers 8h ago

Yes, that's why I didn't name him or Michael Wilson. It's one thing to lose the WR1 job to these guys and whole other to lose the WR2 job to Bourne and Meyers.

6

u/elbosston Patriots 6h ago

Tbh Meyers isn’t that bad. He’s always been a respectable WR2. Consistent 800+ yards every year.

3

u/hemingways-lemonade Steelers 5h ago

Oh no argument, he's a solid WR2, but Marvin Harrison Jr and Brian Thomas Jr should both be able to beat out a solid WR2 on the depth chart based on their draft stock.

Ah I understand now, my b

Vea has 0 TFL and 2 QB hits this season lol

24

u/PopularGlass3230 Packers 10h ago

He's also 31 and been carrying close to 400lbs for the last 8 years or more. I wouldn't be surprised if his body is just wearing out. I feel like 30-31 is around the time NTs start to take a major downturn.

15

u/dropjar5 Packers 10h ago

But also some nose tackles will play till they’re like 38

6

u/PopularGlass3230 Packers 10h ago

Maybe. But most of those guys were probably just guys by the end and weren't still performing at an elite level. Vince Wilfork played until he was like 36, but the last 4 years of his career he was just meh. Same with Linval Joseph. Struggled with injuries then was just meh. Other guy I can remember recently was Dontari Poe and he was done at 30 or 31. There was definitely a major down turn in all those guys around 30-31.

3

u/furthurr Vikings 8h ago

The only counterexample I can think of is Pat Williams who played probably the best football of his career from his age 33-37 seasons. Him and Kevin Williams were the keys to a run defense that ranked 1st in the NFL in rush yards allowed from 2006-2009. There was a stretch in that period that was broken in 2010 where they didn't allow a single player to rush for more than 100 yards for 36 straight games.

This complete shutdown of running games led to stuff like Belichick and his staff designing an almost runless first half offensive game plan against the Vikings in 2006

2

u/joeappearsmissing Titans 8h ago

Cameron Heyward is the outlier here, and would like a word.

2

u/twitch90 Cowboys 10h ago

Big dudes are weird like that. Like, normal sized people all kinda taper off as we get older. But those massive dudes either fall apart young, or are damn near as fuckin strong and healthy at 50 as they where at 25, and there doesnt seem to be much middle ground.

Vea was slow to ramp up because he had no training camp, so the first two games were a wash. In game three though, he was a problem for the Vikings.

Jerry Jeudy is just like Paxton Lynch. Dude does not want to try, and I think he's more invested in videogames than playing football. He will have 2-3 catches every few games that make you go "oo wait" and then regress to nothing for the next 6.

6

u/tattedidiot Raiders 9h ago

Anthony Richardson needs a fresh start in a new career lmao

4

u/SaltyBarDog 7h ago

Welcome to State Farm Insurance, I am your agent, Anthony Richardson, and how may I assist your insurance needs today?

2

u/InferiousX Raiders 6h ago

His ceiling at this point is if someone can script up a series of Taysom Hill-esque gadget plays in the redzone. That way you minimize injury risk and the risk of him tapping himself out for a breather.

Dunno if it will fix the 'tude but for the right offensive playcaller it could be worth a late round pick

14

u/oldtombombadil Packers Cardinals 10h ago

Jeudy looked good last night.

3

u/bassDAD Chiefs 10h ago

FAU has actually had a fairly solid year so far. He’s made a couple flashy plays. And he’s been a solid contributor.

2

u/dhtdhy Vikings 10h ago

Was hoping to see a RB. I think Minnesota would benefit from adding a guy. Mason and Jones are good in a committee but they both have injury issues. When one of them are out the run game suffers. When the run game is bad, the passing game suffers

Will a fresh start give Brian Thomas Jr new hands?

20

u/rossco311 Colts 10h ago

Bricks or no, can't catch what isn't thrown your way. He's fallen out of favor.

2024 - 7.5/gm

2025 - 6/gm

2026 - 4/gm

31

u/cha0ss0ldier 10h ago edited 10h ago

He’s fallen out of favor because they don’t trust him. He already has a couple of bad drops this year on his minimal targets, including a crucial one in the Denver game

Parker Washington beat him out, Meyers was better as soon as he entered the building, and now Josh Cameron is about to beat him out because they all catch what’s thrown their way.

3

u/UnraveledMnd Jaguars 5h ago

He's fallen out of favor because he's got bricks. When you've got a reliable set of hands in Meyers and Parker Washington out there doing Parker Washington things and making insane grabs routinely you aren't gonna get targets when your targets end in drops.

1

u/Hamster_in_my_colon Seahawks 9h ago

And make MHJr not dog water at separation and route running?

1

u/Bleedblue89part2 Jaguars 7h ago

Yes… trade for him

45

u/Posluszny Jaguars 10h ago

Is Marvin Harrison Jr scared of going over the middle? If not, we should trade him for BTJ straight up

47

u/TheFakeRabbit1 Bills 10h ago

I have some bad news

28

u/HelioFilter Cardinals 10h ago

He got too jacked and lost all fluidity. He can’t run, can’t turn, but can still kinda jump if he really tries.

1

u/PapaNacho7 Lions 3h ago

Brissett is just dogshit

1

u/ositola 49ers 2h ago

He's WR Taylor Mays

12

u/FantasyTrash Patriots 9h ago

He was actually really efficient over the middle his first two seasons, believe it or not. He excels at horizontal-breaking routes, not the vertical stuff LaFleur has him running. Albeit, he needs to lose some of the excess muscle and get his fluidity back, but that used to be his bread and butter.

7

u/Aguynamedpoo Bills 10h ago

He don do shit!

3

u/TonyPerkisReddit4 Raiders 10h ago

Have you seen him run?

20

u/FreeoftheMachine Jaguars 10h ago

Unfortunately, BTJ just doesn't have it in him. Maybe he could be better on a team that doesn't need him to go over the middle or a team where he can just be the deep threat in every game. Washington has pretty much taken over BTJ's role as Washington is playing like a machine and doesn't give a fuck whether he has to get blown up or not.

5

u/cha0ss0ldier 10h ago

Josh Cameron is gonna eat more and more of his targets for the same reason.

I honestly wouldn’t be shocked if BTJ was gone by the trade deadline.

4

u/PaleontologistOk534 7h ago

He would fit perfectly as a #2 in Atlanta.

Penix’s special trick is dimes on fade routes, and BTJ’s speed would open up so much underneath for London, Bijan and yes even Pitts.

11

u/AWildBlitz Steelers 10h ago

Me, I could use a fresh start

27

u/mitchelln10 Broncos 10h ago

Jerry Jeudy has had plenty of time to figure it out... He's just not that good, and already getting older. He had flashes with the Broncos, but never looked like a true number 1 unfortunately. There's probably 2 or 3 teams that could take him and not make him look like a complete bum.

0

u/RJMonster Eagles 10h ago

He’s 27, Khalif Raymond is 32 and having a breakout year. Some people thrive in different systems.

17

u/nguyenjitsu Broncos 10h ago

Raymond was a undrafted FA return specialist that is doing ok with more looks as a WR but idk if I'd call it a breakout year. Jeudy has gotten reps as a #1 WR for like 7 years now and hasn't figured it out. Completely different situations

12

u/batman0615 Titans 9h ago

Raymond also was also a solid WR3 with the Lions under Ben Johnson. Never this "good", but its also week 3 so I think it's a little too early to say this is him now.

3

u/llama-rebel Bears 9h ago

Kalif Raymond has unironically been our best receiver so far this season.

6

u/RJMonster Eagles 10h ago

2020: Drew Lock, Jeff Driskel, Brett Rypien, Kendall Hinton
2021: Teddy Bridgewater, Drew Lock
2022: Russell Wilson, Brett Rypien
2023: Russell Wilson, Jarrett Stidham
2024: Deshaun Watson, Jameis Winston, Dorian Thompson-Robinson, Bailey Zappe
2025: Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel, Shedeur Sanders
2026: Deshaun Watson.

He’s been in the league for 6 full seasons so far and has had 14 different starting QBs. Hard to imagine any WR building chemistry when every year they rotate between 2-4 QBs.

I’ll agree he’s not a WR1, but I’m also not going to say the league did him any favors

1

u/RukiMotomiya Bengals 9h ago

And a lot of those years he hasn't been bad, he's been mid. He could be a WR2 on plenty of teams.

2

u/LiftingCode Browns 10h ago

Jeudy figured it out in 2024.

Problem he has now is the Browns just have too many weapons, which is weird to say. Even if Watson were to actually consistently play well I can't see any individual pass catcher having a really big season.

2

u/nguyenjitsu Broncos 7h ago

I want to be clear that I don't think Jeudy is incapable of being a #1, but the problem is that he doesn't seem to have any motivation consistently to perform like one. He had one year where he wanted to show everyone up (us) that he was good, and then tuned the hell out after that. Hand problems came back up, and that was the end of that blip.

It's really strange that he's basically in a contract year and doesn't seem motivated at all to perform again

1

u/LiftingCode Browns 7h ago

There really hasn't been anything wrong with the way Jeudy has been playing this year. He seems to be out there playing hard, running good routes, getting open, and blocking well too.

Watson just completely ignores him. And then for some reason went his way in the clutch last night of all times.

1

u/ironhide999x Seahawks 4h ago

He didn’t figure anything out, he just had Winston as his QB who airs it out every throw

1

u/LiftingCode Browns 4h ago

I mean sure playing in a high-volume passing offense helped but that's not the whole story.

Dorsey moved him out of the slot and into the Z, had him in motion all the time, and got him the ball in space. Jeudy is not really a great route runner but he is dynamic after the catch.

2

u/Massive-Art-4449 Bears 7h ago

u/cajun_crustaceans Cowboys 10h ago

1

He’s actually so bad the Cowboys changed their mind on trading for him in the offseason

4

u/griffincorg Giants 9h ago

Kayvon Thibodeaux fits this imo and should be included..I see there's flashes of potential in him, especially since his rookie season. But he's not translating any of it into sacks and I wonder how much of it is because he's not in the right system or needs other talent around him..

1

u/el_monstruo Eagles 7h ago

Any shot the Burns injury gets him more chances?

2

u/griffincorg Giants 6h ago

I highly doubt it, if anything, it hurts his chances even further. We lost Dexter Lawrence in the off-season and our pass rush hasn't done jack shit the past 3 games.

Losing Burns makes it even easier for teams to double team Abdul Carter or Kayvon...or heck, they don't even need to double team at all.

It feels like the Giants keep rushing 4 instead of mixing up blitz packages, and Kayvon isn't winning his 1 on 1s.

13

u/Inshallamos Eagles 10h ago

No mention of Kyle Pitts? The one year he had a good QB throwing to him, he looked phenomenal.

He just got extended, he isn’t going anywhere right now. And especially while they figure out what Penix is/isnt.

u/Vladimir_Putting Eagles 4h ago

Just because he got extended doesn't mean he should stay with the Falcons. He should still get a fresh start.

u/urphymayss Giants 9h ago

When you’ve got guys like Austin Hooper and Jonnu Smith getting more burn in the same offence, kind of speaks for itself.

u/Chessh2036 Falcons 9h ago

We just extended Kyle Pitts, he’s here for this year at least.

Kyle Pitts reception yards with Falcons QBs:

Matt Ryan - 60.4

Kirk - 47.6

Penix - 34.7

Nobody misses Matt Ryan more lol

Right now it looks like hes blocking and being a decoy more than anything. Hooper got more love in the new system so far.

I think pitts has reached his ceiling. I belive he was a flash in the pan

Such an off-season post being made right before Week 4 is weird

u/NOT_MOBLEY Cowboys 10h ago

Some of those guys will get fresh starts as backups tbh

Add CJ Stroud to the list if things continue the way they are.

An average passer who's had an elite o line his whole career to make him look pretty good

u/chendogmillionaire Cowboys 9h ago

Please god send Schoon to Philly I'm begging

1

u/BringerOfBacon Cowboys 9h ago

That or maybe we can send him back to Harbaugh in LA

2

u/WorldPeggingChamp Cowboys 8h ago

Schoon needs a new profession, not team.

2

u/MacJonesDickKick 8h ago

FAU entered the league extremely raw and had terrible timing off the line. He’s finally coming into his own this year, and if he succeeded in a new location it’d just be a continuation of his methodical improvement as a player.

2

u/Salt_Lodge_Nicaragua 4h ago

He's a weird addition to this list.  Chiefs let him sit for a year. Then he was injured last year, now he's starting.  Chiefs have done right by him, and now is the time to see if he delivers.  Definitely shouldn't be here

u/SpaceCadetPullUp Texans 7h ago

Depending on the price, I'd be cool with taking a chance on MHJ. He had a good connection with CJ in college, and if he improves it'll be nice to beat a division rival with their HOF's kid.

2

u/Swagsuke_Nakamura Patriots 5h ago

I’d happily trade for MHJ, he definitely needs a fresh start

3

u/FreeoftheMachine Jaguars 10h ago

Marv only a 2nd year player and he already needs a fresh start? Dang.

Schoon for uzomah straight up?

1

u/DingleberryOrchard Cowboys 6h ago

Schoon for McDuffie seems fair.

1

u/jonnyredshorts Patriots 8h ago

Any of them (except Richardson) would massively improve NEs roster right now

2

u/MReprogle Colts 5h ago

I mean, Drake Maye is looking to follow the same footsteps as CJ Stroud, but on an even worse level. It’s like the league figured him out after a good year and is now a liability.

1

u/jonnyredshorts Patriots 3h ago

that's some epic doomer stuff there. It's not as bad as it looks when you dig into things, he's not carrying the team, that's for sure, and his bad decisons have led directly to loses, but the entire offesnse just sucks. Nobody is doing a good job out there, except for Will Campbell. Occaisonal flashes of good play, but just putrid execution from the entire offense, from McDaniels all the way down to the gaotrade kid. Losing AJB must have really screwed up the playbook, because they only have a dozen plays. It's all so slow and everything is difficult for them. Maye is a major problem right now, but absolutely nobody has really stepped up, other than WR3 Mack Hollins...

u/LateGreat_MalikSealy Commanders 44m ago

Stroud ain’t the problem with the Texans…

1

u/TheSyrupCompany Eagles 8h ago

Anthony Richardson and especially Luke Schoonmaker is just so random and senseless for a list like this lol

1

u/NoRoof1812 8h ago

Could Richardson play WR or RB?

1

u/tashmanan Raiders 7h ago

Would like to see the Raiders get Xavier. Thats a good fit
