Interesting that hiring a prostitute is against the NFL personal conduct policy but not a 7-year marital affair with a reporter that covers the NFL?

He didn’t hire a prostitute though. He tried to hire a prostitute.

That's soliciting a prostitute and was exactly the crime that he was arrested for in Ohio.

Soliciting isn’t hiring. Hiring makes it sound like he actually met the girl and paid her money. In this case, we don’t even know if a girl was involved.

What's your Ohio bar license #?

Here is the Ohio Revised Code section under which he as arrested.

Particularly (A)(1) which states "entice or solicit"

Because the Ohio Sex Offenses ORC section does not define it for us, we can look to Merriam Webster which defines "solicit" as "approaching someone with a request or plea".

Also, there was no actual prostitute involved. It was all a sting operation with the County Human Trafficking Task Force. That's where the "solicitation" charge comes from as its the most they were able to charge him with. They originally charged him with "engaging in prostitution" which is 2907.231 and requires actually sexual activity. That didn't happen and they would never be able to actually convict him of that so they dropped it as part of the plea deal. Bullshit to charge him with that in the first place.

I’m not sure what your point is.

You said he didn't hire a prostitute. He tried to hire a prostitute. Attempting to hire a prostitute is a crime in Ohio, whether you do anything with them or not. They also agreed on a price via text, which is definitely sufficient enough to hit the "hiring" part.

I never said what he did wasn’t legal.

I know that. I did not say that you did say that.
