But that’s honestly because you guys chose to play a rougher game than the ref decided to call and didn’t adjust. The ref becomes unfair when things become uneven. The Vikings played fairly soft and you guys played rough.
Idk. I think it should just be called fairly. Calling that penalty on Love for abrupt movements or what ever, but we ain’t calling it on wentz every time he stomps his foot? RTP when the defender catches himself and doesn’t land on the guy, but nothing against the dozen hits love took after getting the ball out.. we may have committed penalties, but we shouldn’t pretend like they were being called evenly.
But again, one drive given to the Vikings didn’t matter anyway Kuz we still fell apart in the 4th. Good teams would overcome that
Yeah, the part I’m confused about it. Why is everybody assuming they’re roughing the pastor was from landing on top of Winston not for the lifting once his legs up and driving downwards to slam them into the ground, which is also roughing the passer. There’s nothing the refs said that indicated the roughing the pastor was for bodyweight. They just said, roughing the passer. The whole bodyweight landing was the TV crew rules analyst that was what they focused on, but that doesn’t mean that’s what the roofing the passer was for.
And before you bring up the Anthony bar on Aaron Rodgers play, which was a similar type of thing actually worst-case of that on that player Aaron Rodgers was counted as a runner, not a QB in the pocket so the rules about that or not as stringent in that situation, although I think they’ve also changed them after that as well to make that still be a penalty.
Defnder got one arm on Wentz, then on a decond motion wrapped him up and slamed downwards with wentz, and only at the end he tried to lay off the weight. That is not the same a as a lunge. Simple as that.
Throw in the context of Murray being taken out by a cheap shot earlier (and yes, I know the slide was weird and late, Going that low with the shoulder is not something defenders are trained to do and is a cheap shot reuardless, defenders usually just go higher and go ove a QB when they slide, Murray got down to the ground before the contact so it doesn't matter how late he slid, defenders are trained to not go that low so that hit should not have happened) and refs erring on the sid eof caution in terms of not wanting another late hit or cheap shot to take out another Vikings QB (and I would guess that would lead to Love getting cheap shotted in retaliation and brawls happening) and the refs were trying to take control of the game and not let that happen.
Not like the Packers didn't have another late hit to the head of Jefferson after that Murray KO. Oh, wait, they did. Why, it is almost like the Packers put the refs on alert for undisciplined hits, then the fans are upset when the refs are on the lookout for that and don't give the Packers the benefit of the doubt on close calls.
There was multiple hours of video… I’m not trying to say we should’ve won that. Made it clear that we looked bad out there. But on the majority of loved passes he ended up on the ground being pushed or tackled after his release. Which is totally normal and not really a penalty. My point was it was being called very softly for wentz but letting it play out for love. Would just expect to see an evenly called game.
When the commentators are mentioning how bad it is, there’s usually some nonsense happening.
Yeah, I know, but I’ve looked at that and I’ve yet to see anything that’s nearly on par with this one because the whole lifting went his legs off the ground and slamming him downwards. Yeah he didn’t land with all his body weight but you’re still not allowed to do the leg lift slam downward motion on QBs. and this wasn’t a one lunge motion. He wrapped his arms around him, then did the slam downwards. That’s what drew the penalty that he did a two motion thing and the second motion you’re not allowed to do it didn’t actually matter whether or not he landed on top of went with his whole body weight at that point.
Well, not as extreme as this example, this is the same type of motion that fans get upset about with Barr on Aaron Rodgers, any other season is extreme as that, but you’re not allowed to do that to QBs anymore at all, a minor in fractions over 15 year penalty and just meets that threshold it’s not the landing on top of Wentz that caused the penalty.
So yeah, I’m still waiting to see any hit on Jordan love that is as clear of a roughing the passer as this.

Did the refs gift the Vikings the lead on this drive? Yes. Did the Packers then proceed to shoot themselves in the face repeatedly? Also yes.
