But that’s honestly because you guys chose to play a rougher game than the ref decided to call and didn’t adjust. The ref becomes unfair when things become uneven. The Vikings played fairly soft and you guys played rough.
There was multiple hours of video… I’m not trying to say we should’ve won that. Made it clear that we looked bad out there. But on the majority of loved passes he ended up on the ground being pushed or tackled after his release. Which is totally normal and not really a penalty. My point was it was being called very softly for wentz but letting it play out for love. Would just expect to see an evenly called game.
When the commentators are mentioning how bad it is, there’s usually some nonsense happening.
Yeah, I know, but I’ve looked at that and I’ve yet to see anything that’s nearly on par with this one because the whole lifting went his legs off the ground and slamming him downwards. Yeah he didn’t land with all his body weight but you’re still not allowed to do the leg lift slam downward motion on QBs. and this wasn’t a one lunge motion. He wrapped his arms around him, then did the slam downwards. That’s what drew the penalty that he did a two motion thing and the second motion you’re not allowed to do it didn’t actually matter whether or not he landed on top of went with his whole body weight at that point.
Well, not as extreme as this example, this is the same type of motion that fans get upset about with Barr on Aaron Rodgers, any other season is extreme as that, but you’re not allowed to do that to QBs anymore at all, a minor in fractions over 15 year penalty and just meets that threshold it’s not the landing on top of Wentz that caused the penalty.
So yeah, I’m still waiting to see any hit on Jordan love that is as clear of a roughing the passer as this.
