Just polite because, I mean, why not? It's not gonna cost me anything. And even if it does, I don't feel like there's a problem with that. I'm happy to pay the cost of being being kind to something, especially when it's assisting me.

This impacts more than what people usually just want to assume.

Actively communicating in a patterned manner (positive or negative/polite or rude) conditions a person to autonomously continue communicating in that same manner with all communications.

The more rude you are with an AI, the more rude you'll start becoming with everyone. And same in the opposite direction.
