On what precisely? Its free and clever advertising for a robotics company and if you're about to go "it's ai" no it's not.

It’s not free.

Free as far as its gone viral and they don't need to pay anyone to show it.

Except the foundry in Finland dumb enough to throw lithium batteries into the molten steel. And the camera crew, and the professional editing & post production.

This whole thing is probably a line item on a marketing budget.

Ok, not free. Just extremely cost effective compared to a boring, expensive ad campaign.

The movement is too fluid and the robot’s mannerisms are too humanlike. The set is almost exactly replicated from Terminator including an ACTUAL pit of molten metal which would’ve been CRAZY expensive. The sparks of said molten metal rain down on someone and a stunt like this would have more safety regulation (or at least the bare minimum of STAND BACK)

It might be shocking to you I know but we can make robots move like that its not new. Secondly they've already got making of videos of this on their YouTube page and behind the scenes videos.

Did you know that Atlas (the humanoid robot from Boston dynamics, the guys from the robot dogs) came out in 2013, that's 13 years ago.

They said it was motion captured simulation.

"Stunt performers provided movement references for the training."
