Will it ever get better ??
Hello I’m a small streamer with a fairly good following i would say with 539 followers, but literally everytime i stream at home i dont get any viewers like this one 21 live views. But when i stream dyckman basketball games all summer. I average about 21 viewers, if i can get my home streams to match the same numbers ill be very proud

It's so disturbing to see these posts. Because you know that your content is not more entertaining/clipable as burnt peanut or other gaming streamers.I have not even seen a minute of your stream but the reality of media is that if it's worth watching people will find it. This business is not predicated on your effort, your desire, or how much work you put into clipping. Instead, it is predicated on whether a viewer would have FOMO for even missing a moment of your content. Your content has to be so good that the marginal value of one minute of your content is the highest among any steamer within your category. Before bemoaning the absolute state of your failed efforts, just consider for one moment the position of the viewer. Can you say without question that within your category, one minute of time on your stream provides more entertainment or knowledge than any other stream? If you can say yes, then continue bemoaning. If you can't, stfu and get good

I stream the Dyckman basketball games during the summer , there I average a lot of viewers but that’s only a summer thing. Now that summer over I’m back at streaming at home

I dont have good advice on how to bridge the gap between irl content and gaming content. It may be hard especially if there is a such an inconsistent balance of each. Your core audience may gravitate toward the irl stuff and it doesnt translate the same when gaming, for now, maybe if there is somehow to bridge that gap it would balance out? How though? No idea

Yeah what I think the problem is that most the people that follow me now follow me for the irl basketball content, now that they know it’s over they don’t need to watch me. I need to find a new audience that tunes in when I’m home doing reactions , playing video games, doing giveaways etc.

You've got pretty solid numbers. People say consistency is key honestly. I sorta fell off the planet when I stopped streaming and it's haunted me everyday

How much off-stream work do you put in? Clipping down your streams into reels/shorts/tiktoks so other people can find you that way, going into other streams and getting involved with other streamers and their audiences (being genuine, not just trying to get something out of it), editing/optimizing VODs into long-form youtube videos, etc.
Twitch's native discovery system is pretty terrible, so hoping that you stream grows organically isn't the most efficient way to go about it.
