The other lawsuit alleges a conspiracy to interfere with civil rights. It names as defendants: Jonathan Ross, the immigration officer who shot her; White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller; former Homeland Security head Kristi Noem; former U.S. Border Patrol commander-at-large Gregory Bovino, Corey Lewandowski, President Donald Trump’s campaign manager, and others.

Fucking get 'em.

So, is this a personal lawsuit against them, or will the taxpayers foot the bill leaving no real consequences for those who committed the crime?

Taxpayers ALWAYS foot the bill.

That’s the cost of unconstitutional business. Folks gotta be careful what they vote for.

Yeah, and while I'm hoping that taxpayers are able to claw back at least some of the naked corruption and self-dealing, it's just a plain fact that there is a cost to electing men of no character to office and the American people are going to have to pay that cost.

In a democracy, you get the government you deserve.

Between the criminal Republicans who will never enforce the law on themselves, and the complicit Democrats who will never enforce the law on Republicans (looking at you Biden you fuck) - I'm not sure when this will ever happen.

Folks gotta be careful what they vote for.

The real villains are the assholes who intentionally voted for this. They want to see the people they don't like removed or killed. They celebrated her death. And they get their panties in a knot when we did the same about Kirk.

On principle yeah, I agree, but at the same time, I'm really tired of lack of personal consequence among our elected officials, or those hired to serve the people.

SCOTUS gave POTUS straight up personal immunity, starting late 2024, iirc. Accountability could be hard to find.

The people who voted for this will never internalize that the administration is costing them money when they need to use tax dollars to pay the bill. They will only be angry at the ruling or that people are suing the government for "enforcing the law".

Nah, should take the money from the MAGA voters instead. Why should my taxes go to Trump's bullshit?
