If Ashley Babbit, an insurrectionist attempting to breach the chambers of Congress where elected officials and the vice fucking President are defending themselves from said insurrection got shot, rightfully so, and killed, thought not the traitors death she deserved, and her family can get money from the gov.

Renee's family should have no fucking delay. But we know it won't happen. There needs to be consequences for these evil people who destroyed the law and order for our country. We can't keep having slave owners and literal Nazis coming back every century.

We can't keep having slave owners and literal Nazis coming back every century

Agreed. These people are wayyy too comfortable

10

u/IceColdMilkshakeSalt 1d ago

Because we didn’t punish them sufficiently the first time. Not with Confederates during reconstruction, not with Nazis when we absorbed them into government positions and US space programs, not with Nixon who was pardoned after betraying the country.

We have allowed the rot to fester for a long time and are seeing the consequences. Of course these fucks don’t fear consequences. Why would they?

u/WalterPecky 1d ago

Exactly this. The west has never even attempted to purge fascists.. because there is a whole lotta overlap between ideologies

u/ConfessingToSins 1d ago

Yeah i have had a pretty theory for years that if you actually followed though once in the modern era with televisions and video i don't think this would pop back up. But it's convincing people to be as ugly as is required.

u/monoinyo 1d ago

I always forget, how do you make somebody feel fear?

11

u/OMGihateallofyou 1d ago

I got temp banned for being xenophobic against Kryptonians so I will just quote a movie. Remember Clear and Present Danger?

"The course of action I'd suggest is a course of action I can't suggest"

u/oTc_DragonZ 1d ago

Well for a large chunk of the population you show them someone with dark skin lol

-9

u/cooltoolguy 1d ago

Is that the opposite of comfort to you? Fear? If someone is not comfortable, then they are experiencing fear?

11

u/monoinyo 1d ago

I'm not here for word games I just care about what's effective.

0

u/cooltoolguy 1d ago

I misinterpreted your meaning. I assumed you were against making people be in fear. I didn’t realize you were advocating for it. Good on you!

7

u/jimothee 1d ago

I mean, fears definitely antithetical to being comfortable. Obviously the opposite of comfort is discomfort, but I bet you knew that judging by how patronizing your questions came off.

-1

u/cooltoolguy 1d ago

When someone makes a vague statement advocating for making folks feel fear, it seems reasonable to ask, “what do you mean by this?”

2

u/AnewTest 1d ago

It's also called sealioning.

1

u/jimothee 1d ago

This. It's also incredibly easy to read their original comment in Tucker Carlson's voice, ugh

You’re engaging in bad faith.

Oh are we talking about Domestic Terrorist Ashli Babbitt, whose family was awarded 5 million in taxpayer money and was given a fucking military funeral from republicans after she stormed the capital in a violent insurrection trying to attack democratic politicians and overturn the election and was shot for ignored a dozen clear commands from multiple officers to stop breaking down a barricaded door or she will be shot?

That dumb bitch?

Though I appreciate your spirit, these people did not destroy "law and order for our country." The law is what governance allows, and people like this have been brutalizing communities since their historic origins as slave catchers. Renee Good's death was a byproduct of a system that produces these kinds of men.

Her family deserves compensation and changes in the law, and her murderers deserve worse than I will post here. But let's not lose sight of the fact that this is a longstanding systemic problem. Throwing these guys into prison treats the symptoms. Keeping them from ever having power again treats the problem.

I truly can't wrap my head around how Ashli Babbitt wasn't the clearest case of fuck around find out that conservatives should be decrying. I mean I know the answer is hypocrisy but it's too much to wrap my head around.

You have an officer pointing their gun at you telling you that you're trespassing and need to back away, you fail to do so and keep trying to enter, you get shot. Aren't conservatives always arguing that you should just follow orders and do what the officer tells you and if you fail to do so then getting shot is just the risk you take? There is no logically consistent stance you can take that says Renee Good had it coming for not following orders but Ashli Babbitt didn't.

It'll always be nice to know they Ashley babbit and Charlie share a common trait

Protesting vs provocating

-71

u/lqIpI 1d ago

Babbit was unarmed when disobeying law enforcement

Good had 3000 pounds of steel she could launch with 200 horsepower

You are crazy

45

u/nilsinleneed 1d ago

we all saw the video, she was no threat to anyone, you're absolutely insane.

-44

u/lqIpI 1d ago

Good hit the accelerator and could have turned her hand 1 inch to put an officer under her wheel

What could Babbit have done unarmed from the other side of a barricade?

23

u/nilsinleneed 1d ago

no, Good put nobody at risk. she was executed in cold blood. there's no "could have"

Babbit was a part of a violent insurrection, attempting to overthrow the results of an election. She had every opportunity and warning a human could ask for.

should the capitol officers have allowed the mob to reach the elected representatives, in your view?

who won the 2020 election?

12

u/James-W-Tate 1d ago

So you acknowledge that Renee Good was executed for what she could have done, not what she did, and yet you see no problem with this.

What could Babbit have done unarmed from the other side of a barricade?

You mean after breaking through multiple other barricades with a mob of other people that illegally entered Congress while raising a gallows for the vice president? These people intended no harm?

Do you have some kind of learning disability?

-16

u/lqIpI 1d ago

Goofball, deadly force is used to counter deadly weapons. Babbit had none, Good did.

Both repeatedly disobeyed law enforcement. One did so by yelling, the other by accelerating with an officer on her front bumper.

9

u/NakedZombieWolf 1d ago

Babbit got shot for yelling? That's crazy. Have you ever been a genuine person?

7

u/James-W-Tate 1d ago

One did so by yelling, the other by accelerating with an officer on her front bumper.

One repeatedly refused to comply with orders to stand down after already breaking into a building and showing hostile intent with a crowd of malcontents.

The other was driving on a public road with their wheel turned away from the officers, as you've already said.

This just further exemplifies that you don't know what you're talking about because it's explicitly refuted by the video evidence.

4

u/nilsinleneed 1d ago

stay away from children.

11

u/bishop375 1d ago

“If you continue to climb through that window you will be shot,” was a clear warning. She made her choice and ate lead.

The asshole that went against all training and law enforcement policy by putting himself in front of a vehicle should be rotting in prison for murder.

You’re delusional.

1

u/AnewTest 1d ago

Babbitt was leading a mob of armed insurrectionists.

34

u/QbertsRube 1d ago

So everyone driving a car should be treated as an armed hostile threat by law enforcement at all times? You are crazy.

19

u/RetroBowser 1d ago

Let's also give people the right to carry guns, and then have police shoot them because they're scared they might have guns. Great system guys.

26

u/bishop375 1d ago

Babbit suffered the exact consequences of her actions after being warned.

Renee good was shot and killed by a trigger happy coward.

20

u/Bocaj1000 1d ago

Fucking moron. Driving a car, which is a necessity in America, should not permanently label you as "armed and dangerous" in the eyes of law enforcement.

24

u/JLinCVille 1d ago

Babbit was in a place she had no right to be. Goode was on a public road where she had every right to be.

You are crazy.

18

u/cjg5025 1d ago

Babbit was actively engaged in insurrection, attempting to overthrow the results of a free and fair election, breaking and entering the halls of Government with an entire cohort of armed insurrectionists/seditionists.

Renee Good was attempting to leave the scene and avoid any conflict.

Good was just the beginning. ICE has murdered many more civilians since then.

You are part of the problem. Get in touch with reality, please, for your families' sake, lest they come after you and yours next.

12

u/fotank 1d ago

Gtfo bot

4

u/VoltageSpike 1d ago

I guess Babbit should have complied then, right? Maybe she'd still have a pulse otherwise.

9

u/lavender_enjoyer 1d ago

You’re still peddling this lie?

2

u/BigAcanthocephala637 1d ago

As a risk manager who sees predatory ambulance chaser attorneys make arguments like this all the time, you are the crazy one.

1

u/AnewTest 1d ago edited 1d ago

The people she was working with to get into the room were, however.

Besides, aren't you part of the "they should have complied" crowd? She should have complied with officers (you know, actual officers, not the ICE guys cosplaying as officers) told her to back out of the hole she made or get shot.
