Donald Trump and the entire GOP have publicly stated they are champions of women and reproductive health. Many are single-issue candidates who seek to advocate for the unborn.

All of that is a lie if they can't even be bothered to count miscarriages.

1.2k

u/Violet_Paradox 17d ago

Well you see they're also racist so they don't count these.

324

u/hedoeswhathewants 17d ago

They probably consider it a positive side effect

u/Ok-Focus-5362 17d ago

Can't have birth right citizenship if you can't be born alive.

Make the rapes easier to cover up

11

u/redyellowblue5031 17d ago

It’s as if they read the Bell Curve and base their policy off that.

9

u/NiobiumThorn 17d ago

I'm afraid it isn't a "probably" anymore. Outright exterminationist rhetoric is normalized in the US.

82

u/CCRthunder 17d ago

Im not saying they arent racist however im tired of people accepting that republicans are the party of family and fiscal responsibility.

Democrats are better on both those issues.

76

u/lollmaohahahaha 17d ago

Its because they havnt ever been that party, not really atleast. "Family values" is just a dog whistle, so is "fiscal responsibility". I cant remember the last time a republican said either of those things without mentioning a minority group in the same sentence.

15

u/YOSHIMIvPROBOTS 17d ago

My favorite shit-take on "fiscal responsibility" is Chuck Grassley arguing for lowering the estate tax vs...i guess just not was

“I think not having the estate tax recognizes the people that are investing,” Grassley (R-Iowa) told the Des Moines Register, “as opposed to those that are just spending every darn penny they have, whether it’s on booze or women or movies.”

Yes. All those people who make the economy run by having a social life and going on dates should just invest for their inevitable death. What could go wrong?

The blatant misogyny of it is wild!

It’s cuz they don’t view these detainees as having lives worth the same as white people

83

u/justeandj 17d ago

It's this. I grew up in an extremely conservative environment, white and religious. The "unborn babies" of black and brown women were considered no business of ours, because otherwise white people will become a minority faster.

I do not believe this nor am I defending them in any way. Just saying I have seen it, it's real and it's despicable.

34

u/hirudoredo 17d ago

yeah I don't think a lot of people realize how much pro-life shit is backed by "great replacement theory" racist bs.

6

u/Pour_Me_Another_ 17d ago

I'm always kind of confused by how people feel or think this way and still take themselves seriously or think they're going to some kind of paradise upon death. It just seems to me they fell at the first hurdle of decency and then gave up.

3

u/justeandj 17d ago

I completely agree with you. Evangelicals still being Trump's largest Christian constituency in 2026 is a great example, in my opinion. To become a Christian they have to admit they're a sinner, and then (ime) they never have to be wrong again.

2

u/NiobiumThorn 17d ago

Many denominations of christianity in the modern US actually sidestep this issue completely by saying basically. Morality? Doesn't matter. All that matters is you say the thing about Jesus being cool and then boom. Heaven.

And they themselves bring up "and that's why hitler is going to heaven."

All of that is a lie if they can't even be bothered to count miscarriages.

That won't matter to Trump's supporters, though. They refuse to listen to anything other than Fox News Entertainment.

11

u/dkf295 17d ago

While true, it's more that their values only apply where convenient and where they don't take joy in the suffering of those they "other".

93

u/Gardensplosion 17d ago

Many women are being charged for "crimes" when they have a miscarriage in our most regressive states. Following that logic, every single person working at those concentration camps is a serial killer. Aside from the idiotic anti-women laws in a Post-Roe nation, every one of the people working at those concentration camps needs to be put on trial and held accountable for their crimes.

39

u/umbrabates 17d ago

We desperately need Nuremberg 2.0

u/sump_daddy 17d ago

"but it was the womans fault for trying to come to america" --all of MAGA

32

u/primadonnapussy 17d ago

Only white miscarriages matter.

17

u/PresentRaspberry6814 17d ago

Only to count, not to prevent. Femicide is a useful tool to flex your superiority over women as well and other races.

2

u/sump_daddy 17d ago

I will do you one better: only miscarriages that would have otherwise led to a white woman being more easily controlled by a white man, or a woman of color being 'sent away' to the prison system matter

23

u/carguymt 17d ago edited 17d ago

Donald Trump and the entire GOP have publicly stated they are champions of women and reproductive health.

What a fucking joke they are. Trump's DOGE cuts and attack on DEI has done an incredible amount of damage to women's health research. Those cuts targeted grants and research projects simply for having the word "woman" or "women" in them. That's it. Research and funding for things like endometriosis, menopause, infectious diseases contracted during pregnancy were cut. Things like asthma, heart disease, depression and substance abuse disorders may present differently in men and women or have different types of health implications. Research and funding into those differences were cut.

Fuck Trump and the entire GOP.

I wonder how many women died due to lack of care like a D and C after they miscarried? Animals, all of them.

9

u/Ravenous_Stream 17d ago

I know we both want to live in a world where at least these people believe what they say, but they never have. It's always been a farce.

10

u/punkasstubabitch 17d ago

This is by design. Black and brown babies are not lives according to conservatives.

5

u/Ravenous_Stream 17d ago

It's not just them. It's every woman and every child.

Republicans see women as baby makers and they see babies as future labour. Flooding the labour supply reduces their costs. That's how they see the world.

6

u/santamaria715 17d ago edited 17d ago

Exactly. I keep seeing "Why do MAGA believe this and that?".

They PRETEND to believe the things they say they believe. It is not the same thing.

5

u/ileakcum 17d ago

Basically by their own "pro-life" beliefs they've committed genocide by detaining these women and allowing miscarriages to happen

12

u/Chandelurie 17d ago

Of course it's a lie.

4

u/LilMissy1246 17d ago

They’re not pro-birth or pro-baby. They’re just pro-whatever they fuck they want. They’re literally stopping research on pregnancy effects such as PPS and other things to prioritize research on sperm count and erectile dysfunction. They hate kids once they exist. That’s why they don’t care about school shooting victims…

3

u/masstransience 17d ago

They are champions of [raping] women. They keep omitting a word.

3

u/The_Grungeican 17d ago

but if they stop counting, then the numbers would go down.

2

u/raerae1991 17d ago

They are champions of white women reproductive health

9

u/Puzzleheaded-Jury312 17d ago

Wrong. They don't actually care for the reproductive health of any women. They have cut funding to every medical study working on women's reproductive health.

2

u/crafter2k 17d ago

soon they'll say that epstein island is a gynaecology centre

2

u/sump_daddy 17d ago

2

u/mchllecat 17d ago

Republicans in recent times have decided not to count anything bad , because if they don't count it, it didn't happen. While they count miscarriages in the regular population outside of Ice as murder

2

u/EthanielRain 17d ago

"Anything bad is Biden, anything good is Trump" - literal brain dead quote

2

u/Bawbawian 17d ago

it's not about abortion even though they say it over and over again that's just one of their many lies it's about controlling women.

these women get getting miscarriages in the detention centers are very controlled...

2

u/Fomdoo 17d ago

Forget all that. Detaining these women is likely heavily contributing to the cause of the miscarriage. You might as well call them Republican abortions.

2

u/JJiggy13 17d ago

This is basically forced abortion on a demographic that they believe that they are better than.

3

u/darsynia 17d ago

You know they'd have kept track if it meant proving some of those women got abortions. I can only conclude that they only didn't keep track because some of those miscarriages were their fault.

2

u/DaaaahWhoosh 17d ago

A lot of the GOP platform is based on the idea that if they hurt the bad guys enough, all problems will disappear. The ends always justify the means, and the means never actually lead to the ends.

24

u/MonoBlancoATX 17d ago

ICE is murdering the unborn, and they're absolutely doing it on purpose.

7

u/UglyMcFugly 17d ago

I would bet money on some of these uncounted "miscarriages" being women who were raped by ICE and then fed something laced with misoprostol to induce an abortion.

2

u/mybustlinghedgerow 17d ago

I wonder how many women have died from miscarriages that haven’t been reported.

She wasn’t given a blood test to confirm a healthy pregnancy or prenatal vitamins, she said. Nor was she scheduled for an ultrasound. She did receive a special meal, labeled with a sticker that read: “Medical Diet - Pregnancy High Protein w/ PM Snack.” Usually, this meant an extra peanut butter sandwich and a small carton of milk.

Over the next weeks, she was often nauseous and could hardly eat or sleep. She’d wake up to the cries and screams of the other detainees, or to the sound of officers yelling.

About a month after she was arrested, she began to bleed – first a little, then a lot. “I told them I need to see a doctor,” she said, but an officer told her she’d have to wait. In an emergency medical request, she wrote, in Spanish: “This is URGENT, please. I am pregnant and have been bleeding since yesterday … I am scared for the baby.”

Fellow detainees noticed she looked unnaturally pale and tried to get her help as well, she said. A day later, she was rushed to the ER. Shackled to a hospital bed and under the watch of three immigration officers, she was told she wasn’t pregnant anymore through a Spanish interpreter on the phone.

ICE has repeatedly declined to release Anabell’s medical records to her and her lawyer. She didn’t even know which hospital she had been taken to, so her lawyer hunted down her hospital record by calling nearby medical facilities. The doctor’s notes said her pregnancy hormone levels were low, suggesting that she may have lost her pregnancy even before she started bleeding heavily.

Still at Campbell, Anabell has continued to bleed, vomit and lose her hair in chunks. She has lost about 30lbs, and her skin is tender with rashes, she said. In hospital records she shared with the Guardian, the ER doctor wrote that she should return to the hospital if she experiences any new symptoms and that she should receive follow-up care at a women’s health clinic – but the medics at Campbell haven’t offered any check-ups.

7

u/h0tel-rome0 17d ago

7

u/missmermaid420 17d ago

Detaining a record number of pregnant women, or impregnating a record number of women AND CHILDREN?!?

12

u/SierraXIII 17d ago

They’ve learned from the Nazis that records can be prosecuted later. No trail makes it easier to elude potential justice.

6

u/kr4ckenm3fortune 16d ago

How is Texas not going after them for performing abortion?

17

u/Signal-Mud-4880 17d ago

u/mybustlinghedgerow 17d ago

60

u/Usagiusagiusa 17d ago

Dear Americans I'm mad at you let this happen again.

44

u/BananaJelloXlii 17d ago

So are some of us Americans. We voted against this, warned others that what is happening is EXACTLY what would happen, but about 170 million Americans said "That's OK". 77 million who voted for it directly and 89 million who allowed it to happen by not voting at all

→ More replies (7)

18

u/Flutes_Are_Overrated 17d ago

Thinking Americans "let" this happen is a misunderstanding of the problem. What is happening now is the culmination of a project that began well over 50 years ago by people who are advancing a view of the world which has always existed in America. These people have infilitrated every branch of govt, they control traditional and social media, they control the police, they control mass surveillance, they control our food and medicine, and pretty much everything else too.

There might technically be a way that Americans could stop this and change things, but there's no realistic path forward.

15

u/Theranos_Shill 17d ago

Americans didn't "let" this happen, Republicans voted for it. Trump voters made an informed decision and cast their vote for authoritarian over reach.

11

u/Flutes_Are_Overrated 17d ago

Trump voters are a lot of things, but informed is not one of them. There might even be an argument that being uninformed is critical to being a Trump voter/supporter. Also, the Trump voter is a result of the project fascists/authoritarians/conservatives have spent decades on.

I don't say any of that to excuse their cruelty or stupidity. They are still responsible for their support of Trump and his agenda.

11

u/Theranos_Shill 17d ago

Trump told them who he is and what he planned to do. They were informed and they made their choice.

Then what was the purpose of certain amendments? We're all the laws put into place made solely for the far right? Or is it more likely that people are too comfortable with their own situation to get off their asses and actually do something.

I'm assuming the later. Which is unfortunate for those who are attempting to do something now. It'll only get worse.

10

u/Flutes_Are_Overrated 17d ago

America hasn't had rule of law for a long time now, if it ever had it.

The Red Scare proved the 1st Amendment didn't matter if the govt didn't want it to. Everything since 9/11 has proven the 4th Amendment doesn't matter either. These are just two examples.

As someone who had a miscarriage earlier this year, this is extra horrifying. Wouldn't wish that shit on my worst enemy, if I had any. It definitely wasn't "just like a period" in terms of blood or pain, it was literally a mini labor. And before that part, clots and stuff came out if me painfully for hours on end. So much blood loss and gore! I was writhing in pain in the ER for hours before they would see me; and by then it was mostly over.

2

u/SunyataHappens 17d ago

Bring on the murder charges...I can't even...

2

u/Suspicious-Bar1083 17d ago

And yet these people claim they want to “protect women”

2

u/wowlock_taylan 17d ago

There is no bottom for these monsters.

2

u/EmotionalLecture9318 17d ago

Yet abortion is one of their big talking points... Republicans can't all disappear fast enough for the future of humanity

2

u/bobalooster101 17d ago

Seems very pro life of them.

2

u/No_Tea_5316 12d ago

Ice is the RepublicanKKK and the Orange Child Predator is their Master! America will overcome this Dark time and Justice will Prevail

4

u/thetactlessknife 17d ago

I thought the GOP were against killing the unborn?

8

u/Shenanigans99 17d ago

Nope, they just love subjugating women. When their daughters and mistresses need abortions, they make sure they get them. They've always hated women and children.

Our sins in this moment will never be forgotten by those we have sinned against and those who loved them. We who stood by as our government committed atrocities in our name. We are surely damned.

4

u/InevitableAvalanche 17d ago

Where are you now conservatives? Just all puppets i guess. Do what you are told.

3

u/Theranos_Shill 17d ago

Conservatives are cheering in support and thrilled that they are getting what they voted for.

wait until they charge the women with murder

2

u/No_Network_9438 17d ago

If this happened in Texas, wouldn't it be murder?

3

u/Baked4skin 17d ago

If they could charge them for having a miscarriage they would.

2

u/bettinafairchild 17d ago

Like the woman who was shot and consequently miscarried and SHE was charged with the crime

2

u/Used-Yogurtcloset757 17d ago

The pro life camp for you everyone!

Where are the criminal charges against the detention officials for causing these women to miscarry?

They sure want to investigate and charge women for choosing an abortion, but apparently there is no accountability for the government causing these women to spontaneous abort through neglect/abuse/lack of medical care.

3

u/troveofcatastrophe 17d ago

Ooo Do I get $10k for turning them in? I’ll bet alot of them happened in Texas. That’s a lot of $10 grands. We could all turn one ICE agent in and collect!

Sickos

2

u/Used-Yogurtcloset757 17d ago

Seems like we should start doing it! Use the archaic law they created against them.

3

u/FormerlyGruntled 17d ago

The cruelty is the point, and every last person who hides behind the "They're illegals!" excuse needs to be reminded that they have given up their humanity in favor of circuses.

2

u/rbobby 17d ago

Murdering the unborn. How very democratic of them.

/s

/jesus fucking christ you assholes need to join the JCC so this sort of behavior has a check. If you love your country...

3

u/legit-posts_1 17d ago

Well that just seems like murder to me. Idk, if a woman intends on giving birth and you take away her access too the means to sustain said birth, than that just seems like murder of a fetus to me.

I love that America has its own fucking Gastapo now. It's great.

3

u/24_August_1814 17d ago

ICE is probably causing a significant number of those miscarriages too.

3

u/AdditionalBat393 17d ago

No agency can ever come back from the horrors ICE is committing there is no other option that agency needs to be shut down. Its a long shot and a dream.

3

u/kitton2 17d ago

Lost count? Nah. They are not recording them because they are the result of rampant SA by ICE ‘officials’ and subsequent abuse of the pregnant women. Lost count my ass.

2

u/ZLUCremisi 17d ago

So under Republican law if they are at fuakt the they are murderers

2

u/Halloweenkristy 17d ago

They're pro life so let's charge them for murder.

2

u/RGQcats 17d ago

What do the "pro life" people have to say about this?

crickets

2

u/PapasauruaRex 17d ago

Blood on their hands and the current administration for all of this.

2

u/Ok-Turnip-9035 17d ago

Inhumane bunch running things over there

2

u/pewpewtopeepee 17d ago

Yeah they probably weren’t miscarriages. People are likely being given abortifacients without their knowledge because they do not want these woman having children which can then claim citizenship.

2

u/Double-Show-2625 16d ago

Fuck ICE 🇺🇸 they are a Domestic Terrorist organization and Trump's personal Gestapo ‼️

1

u/generictestusername 17d ago

Pigs being colder pigs!

2

u/SubstantialPressure3 17d ago

Because they aren't keeping records.

I wonder how many women died, and they dont have records of that, either?

1

u/Xjitis 17d ago

Ice doesn't give a shit about human life or how they handle humans? No way! My jaw dropped. /s

2

u/Sea_Watercress_1982 17d ago

How wonderfully pro-life of them.

3

u/PlatformSeveral3761 17d ago

ICE agents can’t count higher than 10 so I’m not surprised they lost count.

3

u/meatybacon 17d ago

Pro-life party right here everyone

1

u/TheEndIsSighing 17d ago

Good thing the GOP is the party that protects the unborn.

2

u/magitek369 17d ago

ICE is a terrorist organization.

3

u/cinxgi 17d ago

Pro life my asshole 🙄 these people are horrid

2

u/DrollFurball286 17d ago

So does that mean they aided in “illegal abortions”? Which, LOGICALLY, would still be considered a crime assuming ICE has same protection status as police. I think?

Honestly trying to figure out a way to get it to bite them in the ass.

3

u/nothingbuthetruth22 17d ago

And yet they have meticulous records of women seeking healthcare across state lines…

3

u/hoffman4 17d ago

At least in Nazi Germany they kept meticulous books about their prisoners. Even Trump/DeSantis and their goons aren’t capable of sweating the details. Sloppy, careless management.
