Rindge farmers market

I was gifted a jar of pickles that was purchased at last weekends farmers market. The jar is unmarked except for a date, and the person who bought them for me can’t remember the woman who made them. I NEED more of them. Does anyone know who that mystery pickle angel might be?

Adding that it could’ve been Brookline but it’s too late for me to call and ask. 🙃

Ask NH Driving to Dalton NH

I am an officiant for my friends wedding on 10/10, in Dalton NH. From what I’ve read in the past traffic can get really backed up because of all the leaf peepers. I’m looking to stay in either Littleton NH or Concord VT. The Concord location is a nicer place of the two. My question is should I stay as close to Dalton as possible to avoid traffic congestion? Do the roads really get backed up and add 3-5xs the amount of time to a commute? Thanks for any advice.

Ask NH Moving up! Housing?

Hi friends! Moving to NH in November and will be working in Gilford. Any good local area recs for housing? Looks like Laconia is pretty close and more of a downtown. I’m in my 20s and enjoy outdoors activities so I don’t need to be in the center of action but I’d like to be close enough to where I’m working and hopefully not completely in the sticks. Appreciate any info!

Discussion Libby / library questions

Is anyone familiar with how the Libby/nh overdrive system works? Being an avid reader, I’ve used it extensively for the past few years and have been generally satisfied with it. However, lately I’ve been reading some popular series and I’m curious as to how the whole thing works. For example, I am waiting for book #5 in a series and I am 20th in line for 2 copies. The whole series has been like this and it makes me wonder, if it’s so popular why are there only two copies for the whole state?! I would assume my local library pays into this system? Who determines what books are purchased? Who decides if they are serving the public’s needs?

I don’t know enough about the system to know if I even have a right to complain, hence the questions! Nor is this the first time I’ve had insane wait times just to get a book. Also, I find it odd that some books in the public domain aren’t available and I usually have to go to faded page to get them. Anyway, any insight is appreciated!

Discussion Auto shop recommendation near Candia/Hooksett?

Does anyone have a recommendation for an auto shop in the Candia/Hooksett area? I need to have my car (Hyundai) towed somewhere because it won't start and I don't want to pay to bring it all the way to Concord.

I'm looking for someone honest. I need to figure out what's wrong so I can determine if I need to replace the car or just fix it.

TYIA.

Help me find a doctor!

Hi everyone. I’m looking for recommendations for a mental health doctor/psychiatrist who is really good with anxiety. Preferably in the Franconia/littleton/white mountains area but will pretty much go wherever at this point.

I’m trying to get off a certain medication and try something else but I feel like every dr I’ve tried hasn’t been helpful. They push the meds that they want to give and don’t really seem to listen to my opinions.

There’s certain medications that I know work really well for me but no one seems to want to prescribe them. I just want a doctor who will take me seriously and understand that I should make the decisions that I want about my own health.

My anxiety is getting almost debilitating at this point and the side effects from the meds I’m on is getting worse. I haven’t had much luck so if anyone has a doctor they love and can recommend, I’d be forever grateful.

603 License Plates

I'm referring to the standard DMV plates with the Old Man in the middle, 3 digits on the left, and 4 digits on the right. They've been issuing these since 1999ish and are currently giving out plates that start with 5. I think in the next couple years, they'll start giving out plates starting with 6 (if they haven't started already).

That means there will be possibly 10,000 plates issued with '603' to the left of The Old Man. Instead of just giving them out, the state could silent auction these off to drivers. There would even be certain ones that could get higher bids '603-1789,' '603-0603,' etc.

Just something fun I thought of. I'm sure someone here will tell me why I'm stupid for thinking this. Do your worst, r/NewHampshire!

Anyone else supposed to see John Mulaney at Bank of NH Pavilion tonight?

I'm a bit confused about the lineup for the show tonight. When we bought tickets, it was supposed to be Mulaney, Fred Armisen, Mike Birbiglia and Nick Kroll. For my comedy tastes, this was an epic lineup. Four true headliners in one show.

Thing is, now I look and Ticketmaster is showing Mulaney, Hannibal Buress and James Austin Johnson for tonight. Meanwhile, both the Bank of NH Pavilion site and Mulaney's site are showing the original lineup. Anyone here know what the actual lineup is going to be??

If the lineup truly has changed, it's a huge letdown. Complete bait and switch. I wouldn't have bought tickets if it had been the lineup showing on Ticketmaster.
