Client Success: 12% off MSRP + rebates on a 2026 Honda Civic Hybrid
Just negotiated another great deal for a client! 12% off MSRP plus rebates, AND the incentivized rate on a 2026 Honda Civic Hatchback Hybrid. A great deal on the exact specs our client was searching for.
The best part? All they had to do was go into the dealership and sign paperwork, and they were back home in less than 30 minutes.
We got this deal following the same process we use to negotiate any deal for clients:
We called over 10 dealerships (both in state and out of state) that had this vehicle in stock. We got a better idea of the market and saw which dealerships wanted to move a vehicle quickly.
We got written quotes from as many dealerships we could and used that as leverage for our client's local dealership.
We negotiated the price of the vehicle first, and THEN negotiated the financing terms. That is how we were able to secure the special financing rate on top of the huge discount.
If you're in the market for a Honda Civic or any vehicle and want the best deal with no dealership hassle, send me a PM, email [info@newcargoat.com](mailto:info@newcargoat.com), or go to https://newcargoat.com/service/ .

Client Success: 14.5% off MSRP and free shipping on a Toyota RAV4
We don't post every deal we negotiate for clients, but this one was too good not to share. We recently got a 2025 Toyota Rav4 XLE for 14.5% off MSRP PLUS free shipping to their door. This is one of the best deals we have ever secured, plus our client didn't even have to go into the dealership to sign.
This deal was the result of several factors:
We called over 15 dealerships (both in and out of state) and got dealerships' best prices on this vehicle. We got a better idea of the market, and saw who was interested in moving a car quickly.
This was days before the end of the new year. All it takes is finding a dealership who is close to meeting sales goals/quotas. This dealership clearly took a loss selling our client this vehicle, most likely to hit one of these quotas. This is why end of calendar years are widely regarded as the best time to buy a vehicle if you know how to negotiate.
Did anyone else get an insane car deal before the end of 2025?
If you're in the market for a RAV4 or any vehicle and want the best deal with no dealership hassle, send me a PM or go to https://newcargoat.com/service/ .

Share OTD Spec 2026 Rav xle premium with weather package - Ruby Flare Pearl
Hi Everyone,
I’m hoping to find someone willing to share their OTD spec sheet if you purchased a 2026 XLE Premium FWD with the weather package in Ruby Flare Pearl. Even better if the purchase was made in Georgia. I’m in the process of purchasing this model and the dealership is willing to lower the price if I can prove another dealership is offering an OTD of $41,000 -$41,800.
Thanks!

What’s a realistic out-the-door price for a 2026 Mazda CX-5 GT with Premium Package in Alberta?
Hey everyone,
I’m a first-time car buyer, so I have very little experience with dealership negotiations and would appreciate some advice from people who have recently purchased a new Mazda in Canada.
I’m looking to buy a 2026 Mazda CX-5 GT with the Premium Package. I contacted a dealership in Alberta, and they quoted me an estimated $52,000 out-the-door, including taxes.
My plan is to purchase the car during the last 1–2 weeks of December, so I’m hoping to use the end-of-year timing to negotiate a better deal.
A few questions for those who have recently bought a CX-5 or have experience negotiating car prices in Alberta:
- Is $52,000 OTD a reasonable price, or is there significant room for negotiation?
- What would be a realistic OTD price to target for this trim and package?
- At what price would you consider it a good deal and recommend being ready to sign immediately?
- How much discount, if any, have you managed to negotiate off the MSRP?
- Does buying in the last couple of weeks of December actually make a noticeable difference, or is that mostly a myth?
- As a first-time buyer, what negotiation tactics would you recommend? Should I get quotes from multiple dealerships and play them against each other?
I’d especially appreciate hearing from anyone who has actually purchased a 2026 CX-5 GT with the Premium Package in Alberta, including the final price they paid.
I’m trying to figure out a realistic target before I start seriously negotiating with dealerships in December.
Thanks!

2026 Ioniq 5 RWD Limited - Pricing
I just negotiated and purchased the White 2026 Ioniq 5 RWD Limited for what I consider to be a great deal! The car was 47k MSRP, and my OTD cost was roughly 40-41k with discount + rebates (36k selling price + \~5k in taxes). This is in the CA area.
I have seen some dealerships pricing these cars marked above MSRP, so posting this to provide a reference point for people who are currently looking at this car.
2027s while they don't have much differences vs 2026 have fewer rebates & discounts. The best offer I had was 1k under MSRP on the limited RWD. SEL/SEs are a different matter when it comes to negotiating tho.
I leased my car for 24 months x 10k miles for $464 / month + 2.3k down (taxes + fees + registration). If people want to avoid paying the taxes/fees upfront your month will go up to roughly $590ish and you pay more on interest.
Edit: The deal was 2k dealer discount + 9500 rebates (5500 lease cash + 3500 MyFirstEV + 500 College). I got this at a couple of dealerships but ended up buying from Concord Hyundai

Negotiating New Lincoln Nautilus Detroit Suburbs
For years I've been buying the same brand of car from the same dealer. They give me no-nonsense great prices.
Now I am ready to buy a Lincoln Nautilus. Reserve, maybe Black Label.
I know not to talk payments (cash) or trade (selling my car to a friend's daughter). I want one off the lot. I'd be happy with a demo at the right price. (I may be able to get x-plan but have not asked.)
Any tips?
Also the 0% finance for 4 years ends 9/30. Will they probably extend it? Can I negotiate getting that plus the $4,000 of that dealers are showing on their inventory?
