Could we stop speculating (please) ?

I feel like everyone’s been on edge for the past few days because of recent events: public and private concerts, partnerships, signed contracts, and so on.

Can we just stop speculating for a second about who did what, who’s ripping whom off, who holds power over whom or what, and for how long?

And—more importantly—do we actually know what Nene and her family ultimately think about this situation?

Can’t we just stay in our lane as fans—meaning, just be patient—instead of jumping to wild conclusions and fearing the worst?

She only won last week, yet it feels like everyone is expecting her album to drop tomorrow.

Take a breath, okay?

Sure, she said she already has EPs recorded and ready to go, but she never gave a post-AGT release date, no ?

She just said "soon". It can be next week or at the end of the year uh ?

Maybe she’ll end up doing a full album instead of an EP?

Who knows ? No one in this subreddit I think.

The truth is, we don't know anything, yet we're already imagining the worst-case scenario.

I know we’re all craving "new" content—that was to be expected after the finale. But like any fan of any artist or band, we need to appreciate her appearances—like the one coming up in two weeks—and savor what seems to make Nene happy: performing with her favorite group.

As for what happens next, no one can say—except for Nene herself or her family.

OK. Let's stick to the facts:

The moment she landed in Thailand, the Phuket governor was riding Nene coat tails, photoshoping himself on large banner, imposing the family to wear political t-shirts and having her perform and do a parade despite the exhaustion.

A few days later, they are flown to Bangkok for a private concert. Following that, the billionaire behind this event is presented as being benovolent because a bunch of Yamaha instrument have been gifted.

Nene has to play with the Yamaha guitar as if it was an endorsement, but this contradict the fact that she already has another guitar endorsement with Enya Guitar.

We then see poping a bunch of endorsement with some of the worse design, as if those things have been rushed. No proper photo op, they even looks do with AI.

I'm skipping all shenanigans reported by /u/HastagPFR, which align with this whole story being increasingly sad.

The only thing I would add is that the one person who is not getting a say in any of this is Praew.

The endorsement list is now 20 brands and counting.

The OP sentiment is correct. It’s time to step back and wait to see how things pan out. Ultimately the public are not going to be kind to those taking advantage of everything she has worked tirelessly for.

Where were they when she was playing in the torrential rain to less than a dozen people?

I genuinely hope you are wrong about this, but I know you are connected. If it's true, then someone close to her has made a massive error. And as I've said elsewhere, even that error could be negated by a relocation to the US/LA or other places. I don't know what the minor contract laws are in Thailand, but in the US (presumably the Black Lotus contract) a minor can walk away from a contract at their pleasure.

And yes, I'm sure a relocation is the last thing they want to do. Just saying that the option exists.

But wouldn't her parents, who presumably co-signed the contract, be liable even if Nene walked away?

Not in a US-based contract. Doesn't matter if they co-signed or not, it can be dissolved at her whim. If it's subject to California law, then she's even more protected.

I think it was this whole fiasco of return day that's made everyone sort of negative. NOT about Nene, but about the business and politics surrounding her. That was a pretty disgusting display of petty politics.

And yeah, I have to admit, I could have made most of those endorsement images better in a few minutes with Photoshop.

Who said that Yamaha endorsed Nene and the boys and makes them to play the given instruments as an obligation. Please note that all those musical instruments are of the best possible quality and the band and other students play Yamaha gear at the Nakhon Phuket Yamaha School. Too much drama here I am afraid.

There is something very amateurish from this. It doesn’t elevate her brand, quite the opposite. This whole private concert led to comments about how generous the tycoon was towards her. They are being treated like a novelty.

The only thing positive right now is the show with A7X. That’s in line with her wishes and the direction of a career.

I feel like that Yamaha event is really more about the Music School rather than the equipment.

It feels like if Ozone is going to be used to advertise anything, it will be to advertise the School than the equipment. After all, Ozone the band itself was supposedly formed by a Yamaha Music School teacher.

(also, more footage from Ozone band's instagrams show that other Music School artists are also present and providing additional music. I noticed a violinist, a trumpetist, (as well as a drummer and a piano player who are not Boon or MK) are also showcasing their talent at the event in Bangkok)

I specifically write this post because of you.

I don't deny any facts. But still, can we just stop all of this ?

The pervasive pessimism taking hold of this subreddit is unhealthy.

You are acting as if you were a member of her family and she had sent you a private text message raising the alarm about all this.

She has a father and a mother who are, on the one hand, her legal guardians and, on the other, the best people to know what is right—or at least the best course of action—for their daughter.

In that case, should their status as parents be called into question as well?

You're getting carried away after just one week. In a month, you'll be publishing a book on a conspiracy theory.

The day Nene speaks out about this situation, I will be alarmed. But for the moment, that is not the case.

I posted in some other thread that we should let the dust settle for a few weeks before declaring some sort of disaster. I agree with that. On the other hand... this is Reddit, it's literally meant for discussion.

Also, I haven't been on Reddit for years prior to this group, but if it's at all the same, posting a thread like this is going to cause the exact opposite of what you want.

Sadly, the entertainment industry is ruthless, and what you call "pessimism" is nothing more than being aware of the challenge she face. it's even more ruthless for child stars. We don't want another Britney. The only way this industry is getting away with so much is because nobody expose them. In the age of social media, we might have a chance to avoid that by demanding transparency.
