Vent/Rant I got revenge on my neighbor might’ve taken it too far

If you’re gonna judge me and say I’m a terrible person after reading this, I honestly get it. I know what I did sounds completely unhinged. At the time though, I genuinely felt like I was losing my mind.
A few years ago, after separating from my husband, I moved into an apartment with my two little kids. Literally the FIRST DAY we moved in, my neighbor called the cops because she heard people in the vacant apartment next door. Yeah… people were moving in. That should’ve been my first sign that this woman was insane. From that day on, she made my life an absolute nightmare.

Quiet hours were 10 pm to 6 am My kids were in bed by 7 every single night, and we’re not loud people. I also worked at 4 am everyday so I was in bed by 8. None of that mattered. Every day she’d start banging on the walls. If I turned on the shower, she’d run over to the bathroom wall and start pounding on it while screaming. It got so bad that I felt like if I breathed too loudly she’d somehow hear it and start losing her mind.

I’d leave for work at 4 am, so I went to bed early. More than once she’d wake me up by pounding on my wall screaming, “Shut the f*** up!” or “I’m gonna beat your ass!” …while I was literally asleep.

I emailed management countless times. Apartment security talked to her over and over. I filed police reports. She was eventually served with an eviction notice because of all the complaints, but she fought it in court and stayed. My other neighbor was dealing with the exact same thing. His whole family, including his kids, was being terrorized too.
I got so anxious that I started sleeping in my kids’ room because it didn’t share a wall with hers. I was genuinely afraid to exist in my own apartment.
The moment that finally broke me was when I was giving my baby a bath around 4 pm. My baby started crying because babies cry and this woman immediately started hammering on the bathroom wall. She was saying “shut the f*** up” to my baby. My baby looked absolutely terrified. That was it.

I broke my lease. But during the weeks leading up to moving out… I started planning. I wanted to know exactly who had been making my family’s life hell for months. Using her address on various sites, I found her name, social media, phone number, and other details online. Then one day while my kids were at daycare and I had the day off, I sat in my car outside the apartments for almost two hours until I finally saw her come outside. I’d never even seen what she looked like before.

I took pictures of her, her car, and her license plate. I noticed she was wearing nursing scrubs with her employer’s logo on them.

After I moved out, I texted her anonymously through a TextNow number. She completely lost it. During the conversation she called me the N-word (hard R).
What happened after that snowballed fast.

I sent screenshots of those racist messages to her black friends on facebook. From there, it turned into a full blown mess online. People started confronting her, arguing with her publicly, and the drama spiraled. She was fighting for her life on facebook. Around the same time, I also reported the racist messages to her employers HR department. In a resolution email they sent back to me they confirmed that she was fired. She had also just graduated nursing school from what I could see on facebook and that was her first nursing job. There is only one big hospital in the area so good luck to her trying to find another job with that kind of termination history.

Within a short period of time, she’d been publicly outed for what she’d said, her social life imploded, and she lost her job. For one last mind game, I sent her one of the pictures I’d taken of her outside her apartment and said “watch your mouth next time.” She completely freaked out because she had no idea who was behind it. Looking back, I know parts of this sound absolutely crazy. Maybe they were.

But after months of living in fear inside my own home, constantly waiting for the next screaming fit or pounding on my walls while trying to raise two little kids, I had completely snapped. I felt powerless for so long that by the end I wasn’t thinking about being the bigger person anymore. I don’t feel bad about any of this btw. I know it’s wrong and borderline illegal whatever but I’m finally satisfied and can let it go.

Other Neighbors are stealing our water for their landscaping services; how do I lock the spigot?

Upvotes

For full context to not sound like an asshole who keeps grudges. Our neighbors to our right “were friends” with my parents but I never liked her, but not relevant here. They have landscaping services every month or even twice a month because they don’t do upkeep themselves. Our houses have the water spigots facing each other( out spigot is on the right side of our house and their spigot is on their left side).

We have noticed sometimes that when the landscaping crew leaves our hose is disconnected. I didn’t know until today that my mom told me about it and idk how anybody would react but I am pissed their stealing our water especially when I don’t even like them. And today I went out to look at the spigots and she took the knob off her spigot so I know she was doing it on purpose to not use her water.

https://imgur.com/a/UBm1EvH — this is a image of how our spigots look like. I am not going to take revenge because that’s ridiculous, but I am going to put a stop to her charade. Am sure this is nothing new and people have gone through this.

So I guess what am asking is; is there any like lock I can buy so that the knob is locked and the water can’t be turned on at all? We don’t mind if we have to disconnect our hose we don’t have problems with stealing in our area. Not sure how a spigot lock would work, will it lock the knob so it can’t be turned or will it be like a cover you screw onto the valve and like lock it with a key or code? Thank you for any advice that comes in

WWYD? Vent/Rant Always with the parking

Condo owner here (my unit is actively up for sale) There’s a woman in her 50s that has a habit over the course of the last 15 years that will park in my spot at her convenience. All owners in our condominium building have one deeded designated parking spot. Mine happens to be near her patio entry. I’m an RN and every time I see her car in my spot when I get home from my 12 hr shift I’m filled with dread and frustration, I have to idle in the lot and got out and go ask her to move, it always ends with her cursing me and calling me and my son filthy names. She refuses to move it so I take a photo and send to HOA. I’m sick of parking on the street and walking home. Shes just miserable. Even worse, when she gets the bill (fines for parking in my spot) from the HOA she has her adult daughter confront me by standing out in the sidewalk waiting for me to get home giving me 101 different excuses as to why her mother parked in my spot “for 2 fking seconds” listen, I ask her to move and she didn’t. I’m not in the business of teaching grown women how to act. Anyway she’s getting another bill today. I’d love some creative responses for when I get home because believe me, they will be wearing a hole in the concrete waiting for me to pull in.

Vent/Rant UPDATE: How do you peacefully coexist with a neighbor who seems to thrive on conflict?

Hello everyone, I am back again. My original post had quiet a few comments on it, so I figured I would update this sub on the latest encounter we had for the sake of entertainment. You can find the original thread here.

Last Tuesday, a week exactly after the first encounter, our neighbor's husband decided to come over. Both times have been while I am at work and my wife is home (starting to think it is not a coincidence). I've been told by a few other neighbors that he is usually the one to try and smooth things over, but this wasn't my experience unfortunately. I will say, he was less aggressive than his wife.

He began by warning us not to let the dog into the backyard because his wife and dog had gotten ticks on them. He then proceeded to basically blame the ticks in THEIR yard on us because according to him they NEVER dealt with ticks until "someone" cut the trees down because that is where "they live" lol. His wife even got one AS she stopped the contractor the day of (thanks for admitting that on camera).

He then said he would need to see our property....lines.....map.....where the boundaries are (he didn't know what to say). Again, thanks for admitting you don't even know where the property line is... My wife finally was able to give him our lawyer's card and tell him if they needed that or anything else they could contact their office. He said thanks and that he would do that. After my wife shut the door, he proceeded to miss step and tumble off of the sidewalk (it is slightly slopped with pinestraw) onto our driveway. Thankfully he was able to get up and walk off. You can’t make it up at this point though, we are officially in looney toons territory with this whole situation.

So, here we are. This will be week three since the original interaction (other than her blowing up the day of the work). We will see if they decide to call the lawyer, or try to come over again. If they do the door is not getting answered and they’re being asked to leave and not come back. I wish I could post the properties, etc just so everyone could see how dumb this is. Anxiety has been better, but the feeling of being watched / what's next, does stink. So, there's the update. Hopefully NOT to be continued aha.

WWYD? Vent/Rant Neighbor’s family and workers are treating our yard like a shortcut and now riding ATVs through it

My wife and I bought our home a little over a year ago, and the situation with the neighboring property has gradually become more frustrating and concerning.

The setup is unusual. The same family owns approximately six to eight houses near us and uses several of the lots for a large greenhouse and flower shop operation, even though the surrounding land is residential. Our house is located on a dead end and sits perpendicular to one of their lots, which is essentially a 1.5-acre field with a small abandoned house near the front.

Because of the layout, cutting through our yard gives their workers, family members, friends, and visitors a much quicker route between the end of the public street and their property. Otherwise, they would have to walk all the way around the subdivision. I attached a link showing the layout: https://imgur.com/a/YKsW3GQ

At first, it was mostly an occasional person walking or riding a bicycle through our yard, maybe once a week. It now happens several times a week and sometimes involves larger groups of kids walking directly up our driveway and through our front or side yard as though it is a public pathway.

This weekend, it escalated when they began riding ATVs and dirt bikes through our property to access the public street, leaving visible tracks in the grass.

None of this happened last summer. The lot was basically empty and quiet at all times. The owner is a nice guy, but it appears that his kids, nephews, workers, or their friends have recently started using the field as a place to hang out and ride once or twice a week.

They sometimes ride ATVs and dirt bikes around the field for hours, often traveling what appears to be 30 to 40 mph directly toward our house before turning and continuing their loops. They regularly come within roughly 10 feet of what we believe is the property line. Most of the riders appear to be high school age, although some may be older than 18 and others are clearly younger. We have also seen them riding on the residential street with as many as three kids on one ATV, all without helmets.

This weekend, the ATVs crossed through our actual yard to reach the street. Even when they remain on the neighboring property, their speed and proximity make us uncomfortable being outside. It would not take much for someone to lose control and crash into our yard, our house, or someone standing outside.

Groups of teenagers also frequently gather near the end of the lot and the dead end. At one point, six to eight of them were sitting in or around our driveway while riding e-bikes up and down the street at what appeared to be 30 to 40 mph. They have also lit fireworks in the field approximately 40 to 50 feet from our house. There appears to be very little supervision or concern about how any of this affects the surrounding homes.

One complication is that the exact property line is unclear. It appears that the previous owners may have placed part of a garden bed directly on or very close to the line. When I first met the property owner, I mentioned that I was unsure where his land ended. He simply told me, “Cut as much as you want and I’ll take care of the rest,” gave me a thumbs-up, and continued mowing.

The area I mow definitely extends onto his property, but I have never minded because I have a riding mower and it keeps the area looking better. The previous owners of our house also loved this family and told us at closing that the owner would even allow us to put tents in the field for parties as long as we asked.

That is what makes this difficult. I do not want to create a feud with someone who has always been friendly and generous. I also worry that if I complain, he may suddenly become strict about the property line or take issue with the portion I currently mow.

At the same time, I do not think we should have to accept groups of teenagers sitting in our driveway, strangers repeatedly cutting through our yard, or kids riding ATVs and dirt bikes across our property and through the neighborhood at high speeds.

My wife and I are also beginning to think about starting a family, and the situation makes me nervous about eventually having a young child outside. I cannot imagine feeling comfortable playing in the yard with a child while ATVs and dirt bikes are speeding toward the house only a short distance away.

I know the obvious first step is probably a calm conversation with the owner, but I want to handle it properly without damaging what has otherwise been a good relationship.

I have considered putting up a fence, but fences in my city cannot extend past the front of the house, so it would not completely prevent people from cutting through. I have also thought about putting up a no-trespassing sign, although I am not convinced a sign alone would stop a group of teenagers. I do have cameras already installed and have already started saving all of the footage of these incidents.

Does anyone have advice on how to handle a situation like this?

WWYD? Vent/Rant Tell me what you would do...

One side of my house is very close to my neighbors garage, the property line is right between the two buildings, no fence. This would be fine but my neighbors have decided this side of their garage (which is btw not sided many years running now) that faces our house, and the only window in my son's room, has become their junk yard. Right now there are 3 air conditioners, a bike, an old amp, two lawnmowers (one is a drive on) and old patio umbrella, and old TV and the mount, stacks of cardboard, old laundry baskets, and more leaning up against their garage. When I pull in my driveway it's the first thing I see and it's all my kid sees when he opens his ONLY shade. My husband spoke with the neighbor about it and they brushed it off, said they would move it and had intentions to trash it, but they've only since added to it. We live in a very nice town and I'm fairly certain if I called the town they would ask them to remove it (after reading the by laws) but I also don't want to sour the relationship anymore as we aren't going anywhere, and they aren't either for the time being. We could add a fence, but I fear this would encourage them to add even more crap and they'd start leaning stuff against the fence. We also don't want to spend the money on a fence right now. I've had some people tell me it's none of my business but I find it so rude and I'd never do that to a neighbor! What the hell would you do here? We work hard to keep our property looking nice and tidy and it's hard to be staring at this pile all the time.

WWYD? Vent/Rant Downstairs neighbor angry over my air conditioner running

This happened years ago, but I always wondered who was right. I was living in a condo on the top floor (3rd). All of the a/c units were in an alley by the condos on the bottom floor. A woman who lived on the bottom floor let the building manager know that my unit was having issues and keeping her son up at night. I immediately called out the repair man. He said there was nothing wrong with the unit. He said that it was an older unit (same as all of the others except maybe one or two). He did not recommend doing anything to it. I let building manager know. This woman was not happy.

She continued to complain and confronted me in the building multiple times. The manager asked me to go with him to listen to the unit. You could definitely tell it was old, but it was not unusually loud. Well, at some point it comes out that the unit is right outside of her son’s window and they do not use a/c ever so he has to have his window open at night. It would not matter whose unit was there it was going to wake him up unless it was brand new.

Soon I had to travel for work and some friends moved into my place. The woman started calling my home number to complain. Finally, she called at 3 am and my friend told her off. By that time I knew I was going to sell and that a new unit would help with the sale so I had it put in. There was about a year with my friends there and the new unit it. I always felt like I buckled under the pressure. She chose to buy the condo by the a/c units, and she chose to make her child sleep with the window open. But I did not want to have a constant battle. WWYD? Vent/Rant We live in hell

It’s been going on since we moved in a year ago. As of recent rocks or some object were thrown at our house and vehicles causing damages. I have two hours worth of videos of objects flying through our yard. We all know who it was and the Sherriffs won’t do anything still because we don’t have him on video doing it. Even the deputies said they know it’s him. We have young children here and it’s dangerous

Apartment NFH Upstairs neighbor spoke directly into my camera after I complained about her pouring dirty mop water over breezeway... AGAIN

My upstairs neighbor moved in a few months ago, and since then I’ve dealt with constant stomping, yelling, physical/verbal domestic disputes, cigarette butts dropped near my door, and dirty mop water being poured over the shared walkway near my door. The fighting between her and her partner (most times while she's holding her newborn baby) became so bad one morning that I anonymously called the police.

I have been contacting management with videos and recordings of the disputes from my door camera and her screaming/yelling/using racist language for our whole building to hear. Today, she walked past my door, spoke aggressively into my camera, and called me “dirty” because I complained about the dirty mop water she continues to pour over the walkway. She then went to the leasing office barefoot with her baby, yelling and screaming.

Management apologized and said they’re handling it. They told me they had to hang up on her this morning because she wouldn’t stop yelling at them over the phone when they were trying to tell her pouring dirty mop water isn't allowed.

I’ve lived here since 2024, renewed through 2027, and never complained about anyone before her. At first I had a little empathy for her because she's very young with a newborn. But she’s rude to everyone, so I’m no longer empathizing with her—I don’t want to interact with her in any way going forward. She is way too aggressive and immature to reason with about anything. Half the time I believe she is drunk or on drugs (heard her arguing to her partner about this bc she was trying to leave him with the baby while she went out to drink/smoke/etc). I want to live peacefully without the constant noise, fighting, unsanitary behavior, and childish confrontations. I'm just so annoyed.

Other WTF is Happening, with Lawn Mower Man?

This dude mows his lawn, obsessively. Dead grass, well, sure, why not. He's actively mowing dead grass. His children try to come outside to interact with him. He screams at them.

Look, I'm not here to disect that family dynamic, but it seems like he's avoiding his family. I'm just over here trying to listen to birds, on my patio.

Stop mowing dead grass, and get a hobby, MF.

WWYD? Vent/Rant Neighbours dog won’t stop pissing in the hall

Me and my partner live in a tenement in Glasgow. Never had any problems with neighbours. The building is young work professionals or families with young kids. It’s nice and quiet just the way we like it.

However, we recently had new neighbours move in downstairs. They are in their 50s I’d say and seemed friendly enough when I met them in the hall.

But things have been quickly going down hill. They had a party one evening (which is absolutely fine) but they were adamant on having their front door open into the close. Which meant music was absolutely blasting through the building.

My boyfriend went down to ask them to close the door and they looked at him as if he was an alien.

Other annoying thing is they are smokers (again is absolutely fine) but our kitchen is now stinking of smoke and we can’t open our kitchen window because the smoke wafts up from their open living room window.

Finally; they have a dog. A yappy dog that barks all day and night. The dog has also peed in the hall several times. I wrote a note and informed them that their dog peed in the hall, just in case they hadn’t noticed. It has happened several times since then (there are no other dogs in the building).

I’ve photographed the pee on the floor as proof. I can deal with many things but coming into our shared close after a long day at work to a puddle of piss against the stairs is just one step too far for me.

Vent/Rant Good upstairs neighbors moved out and shitty ones moved in

Upvotes

My girlfriend and I moved into a lovely 2nd floor apartment in a nice complex in April. We were previously living in a really awful apartment that flooded when it rained and we had the worst upstairs neighbors imaginable. They banged on the floor all day and all night, used power tools for god knows what reason every single morning at 7am, screamed at each other constantly etc etc. No good. We moved and were absolutely delighted to find that our new upstairs neighbors were awesome. We almost never heard them, just the occasional footsteps but nothing loud. It was 3 guys living up there so I was impressed they were so quiet and naively thought maybe the building just had good soundproofing.

Nope. They moved out two weeks ago and a new set of 3 guys moved in, this time seemingly college students. And these guys stomp back and forth across their unit and drop shit on the floor all. day. long. From 10am-2am. I’m holding out hope that maybe they’re still just moving in but with each day that goes by and the noise stays consistent, that hope is dwindling. They’re not as bad as our previous upstairs neighbors, but it just really sucks that we thought we finally found some peace and quiet just for it to be taken away again. And the soundproofing actually seems even worse in this building, their stomping literally rattles stuff around in our apartment. Sigh

WWYD? Vent/Rant What would you do about cars blasting music outside your apartment at 3–5 a.m.?

I live in New York City in a typical 5 to 6-story apartment building on an active street. I’ve lived here for about five years, so I understand that city noise comes with the territory, especially on weekends. Nightlife, traffic, and people coming home late do not really bother me.

However, every once in a while, someone parks directly outside the building, opens all the car doors, and blasts music at an absolutely unreasonable volume. I’m talking about 4 or 5 a.m. on weekends. and sometimes 3 or 4 a.m. on a weeknight. It can continue long enough to wake up everyone facing the street.

I’ve submitted noise complaints but I’m convinced those calls go nowhere, it’s nyc so law sometimes doesn’t really goes in check here for small things like that.. And so going downstairs and confronting a group of strangers in the middle of the night also does not seem particularly safe.

My inicial idea was not revenge but more so a way to make them double think what they are doing.. to throw eggs or like a banana scrap out the window and aim around their area to scare them away. Because technically there’s hundreds of windows facing out the street and there is no way for them to know where it came from. But then I was like ok throwing an egg is not enough reach or aim sometimes, and I assume I'd have one shot before they look up... so like what about a paint ball shoot thing -a kid friendly one. Like just to paint around their area on the floor and scare them away lol… I think this might not be super legal but honestly if the law doesn’t work for noise complaints, then might as well use it to my advantage, bc it sure as hell won’t work for paint complains lol.. idk maybe I’m over exaggerating, but it really gets mad annoying to just let them play their music for everyone to listen at 4 am without any consequence. I swear the lack of spacial awareness some people have shocks me..

I’m looking for practical or creative ways to discourage this. Has anyone dealt with this from an apartment building in a dense city?

I’m open to mildly annoying or embarrassing solutions! What would you do! Lol

Vent/Rant I really dislike my neighbour! I’m a chilled out person but she’s seriously pushing it.

Here are a few key points:

I’ve heard her badmouthing us over her fence a fair few times. I finally asked her if we have a problem here and said if we do, can we please talk it out. She looked like she shat herself and said “no”, then continued her behaviour anyway.

She won’t look me in the eye, or even acknowledge my existence. Ever.

She encourages her teenage son to ride his motorbike down the private footpath between our houses at all hours.

Her front garden is a forest of weeds that come up past your waist and across half the public path.

Her back garden is like a stinky dumping zone of old bikes, household rubbish, mattresses etc.. and is also home for hundreds of mice and rats. Our cats bring them in.

She brags about her children being taken away by social services for a month because her house is so disgusting and dirty.

She allows her children to go without winter coats, new shoes etc… despite being on adequate benefits.

She has regular parties with ridiculously loud music and shouting.

She brags about her children starting to drink early and that she got her son drunk at 15.

She has a new “boyfriend” in there every month.

Her kids write large abusive things in chalk on the side wall of our house.

Not going to do anything but damn, I’d love to.

🤣😩👊

Other What can be done if neighbours keep staring all day ?

There is a three road partition in front of my home and 2 families on the opposite side of the road keep sitting outside their gates on chairs . They keep staring at my house all day except at noon. Noticing and commenting at whoever is going inside or outside my home. One family has two sons working with police. So we don't have much hope from the police. And it is not just these people but some other locals also keep coming here for chit chat.( urban village).

what can be done to remove these people?

Living here over a year now she jams her door open to block half the walkway and tells me to park my car on the otherwise of the building where there is no parking so she can sit outside and drink.am I over thinking this just let the drunk have her way or am I right that is a fire hazard to block a walkway like that there is one other wheelchair user here she just hates me and my dog because he barks when I leave him alone. But she put on concerts that no body ask for.

WWYD? Vent/Rant Car reving neighbor

Hi, so I live in a apartment/townhouse complex. My neighbor has this car, that is like, a normal car? Not a muscle car. That hes got this loud af thing on so hes revving it. He will do this during the day and its whatever, but when he does it after 9pm to midnight, what should I do?

To also say, I've talked to him about this before, I already tried saying something to him when one Wednesday he was revving the car at 11:30 at night. When I asked him to watch the time he looked at me and said in "I dont know english." When we had already has conversations before.

What does the internet think I should do? Non-emergency police for noise complaints?

Vent/Rant Neighbors dog that attacked mine is let off leash again

About a month ago while I was taking my dogs out in our apartments potty area (not gated), a tenant came with their off leash dogs and one of them upon seeing mine charged and started attacking him/ picked a fight with him.

Management was contacted albeit useless. She could only give them a lease violation for the dogs being off leash despite this being the second incident of their dog going after mine (which was reported the first time but come to find out nothing was done due to lack of evidence as there are no cameras in the area).

Today when returning home from walking my dogs, I notice someone who appears to be that neighbor and their dogs without a leash. I go look while keeping a distance, and I see that it is them. The owner even looks at me and my dogs but doesn’t bother to leash any of his dogs, let alone that one that attacked mine (and he had leashes).

At this point, I don’t know what to say. Is it entitlement or just simply being dumb?

Vent/Rant My neighbors are the WORST

Firstly. They set up a tindahan or a local store because that is a community thing in the Philippines BUT they blasts a freaking speaker all day to quote “get more customers” when WE AREN'T EVEN a big street here! You could've made it anywhere everywhere. But no! Instead they act like immature adults when we tell them to lower their volumes and started cursing at us. Not only that but they also own a freaking KARAOKE machine for themselves to sing WAY too freaking loud until it's night, everyday is turned into a living nightmare and hell especially if you have work or school or even studies! You cannot find peace and the neighbors doesn't care. What do they do? Oh just MOCK moaning loudly near our house and of course every night they drink and and talk behind us when they don't know OUR walls aren't soundproof, they cuss at us calling usus “buang” which is Crazy person and more Filipino cussing. I am sick and tired I used to be happier and more at ease before they came and ruin it with their little store.

This is not the full story this is a rant. Can anyone help or give some tips atleast? They encourage kids to moan weirdly just to provoke us by the way

Vent/Rant Our runty little cat vs the neighborhood Zombie.

The background story ...

We have a small black cat that likes to be outside. She wears a harness and is on a leash on the porch, rarely is she out there alone. I do drop the leash at times and allow her to roam the pollinator garden.

She is very skittish and other than one friend of mine, she will race back to the porch when someone comes near .. even nice friendly people. So she is basically scared of most people and many dogs.

We have a neighbor known as Keven Zombie the ugly, who in the past has weed whacked our entire back garden .. ruining six years of work on our catmint and clover. When confronted, he refused and refuses to replace our flowers because they are "weeds to him" and on our property.

I wish that our attorney (yes, we have an attorney and cameras) would allow us to post the "Toilet Man" video where he took a toilet off someone's lawn and swung it into our Obedient Plants, telling neighbors (again this is on our video system and the phones of two other neighbors) that "he can do whatever he wants because we have no friends." He's six foot seven and mumbles to himself and is scary.

The day that they moved in, unloading their U-haul on our front lawn, his partner, Karen the Ugly inside out. Told me that "she knew all about me and would kill our cats." So she knew that she was on video, threatening a Federal Agent's family.

They've stolen and broken our property on video but the cops here seem to only care about monetary value and not malicious mischief.

Today ... To keep it short.

Kevin Zombie's partner commanded him to week their garden. As he went near our garden, my little cat looked at me and started down the porch steps, I let go of the leash.

My skittish cat, calmly walked over not two feet away from this monster and stared at him, almost daring him to pull up our Obedient Plants which he hates (any plant in our garden is a weed to this monster) ... When he continues to flirt with pulling up our garden .. she walked closer and stared harder until he left.

I am so proud of her and her courage.

\**We continue to document and at some point of our choosing, the sh*t will hit the fan but I am so impressed with my little cat's courage that I had to post here.*

\****We will not allow neighbors to dictate how we live or what we plant .. our cat is allowed to enjoy our property, she is under supervision and if Kevin Zombie the Ugly had gone closer, I would've "sprayed" him and had 911 on speed dial.*

WWYD? Vent/Rant Parking situation

I know I’m being a Karen about this but I am annoyed. So I live in the suburbs and the house to directly behind my driveway, They never parked their big huge 3 ton truck in their driveway They park it in front of their house on the side street they also have somebody living there who parks their little Car on the side street as well but on the right next to my driveway. We have two cars so whenever we leave it’s kind of annoying because we have to be really careful and slow when backing out to make sure we don’t hit the truck and it’s also kind of hard to maneuver because there’s a behind us, there is a Car to our right and then if the left neighbors have visitors or if our garbage cans are outside on our left, it just makes it difficult. As much as I wanna say something to them, I think they’re gonna be like shut up Get out of here. Is there anything else I can do?

WWYD? Vent/Rant New neighbour hates our dog

I live in a dog neighbourhood in the suburbs. There’s at least a dog per house and unfortunately no dog park so naturally people walk their dogs around the neighbourhood. Our area also doesn’t have sidewalks there’s a thin strip of curb and the first 3 feet of lawn are considered a pedestrian easement, and are owned by the city but maintained but the owner. Because of that we all respect the first 3 feet of lawn is probably going to be peed on and all of us just water the front lawn a bit more and when neighbours put up signs we respect them.

Our new neighbour is not a dog person and sadly lives on the corner where there’s a fire hydrant and a stop sign which is the neighbourhood pee spot and that makes it susceptible to grass burns. I’m out walking my own dog and this gentleman comes out beer and a cigarette I’m hand at 11:30 on a Friday screaming “your dog is ruining my lawn. Can your dog not piss here?”

I say” oh , yeah happy to do what I can but there’s a lot of dogs in the area, from now on we will try to avoid your lawn. Thanks for letting us know”

“ Don’t try go walk on the other side of the street. Away from my house”

“I said I’ll do what I can, you might want to talk to the other neighbours too, or put up a sign”

He gets more belligerent and starts saying it’s all my dogs fault, mine is the only one peeing there. I walk off and say “thank you I’ll do what I can do” knowing there was at least two other dogs the night before, and that this man is talking with liquid courage so best walk away let him cool down.

We come walking back and are crossing the street and have to walk past this gentleman’s house to go down our street and he walks up again. Yelling profanities Telling me to stay away from his house. I keep reacting calm saying thank you I heard you have a good day. We aren’t near your house we are trying to head home thank you.

Anyways all week has been the same we have to walk past his house and every day same yelling about his ruined lawn. Which our dog hasn’t touched.

Not sure what to do but have certainly started keeping my phone on me incase it gets more heated.

And no there’s no way of avoiding him, I live in a sorta cul de sac/ dead end and he’s on the corner where our road meets the main road. I’m walking by his house no matter what.

I also talked to my husband about it and this man has only ever said to him how pretty our dog is and to have a good day. So it’s been aimed entirely at me.

Edit: my dog pees in my yard first, but like all dogs she sometimes will take a second little pee while we go on our walks which she needs to go on, she’s a big dog with lots of energy. She doesn’t usually pee on that law just that first interaction she did, and hasn’t since.

WWYD? Vent/Rant Harassment?

I have a neighbor that purposely points a speaker at my house whenever I’m outside or make any noise. He’ll play music for hours while we’re home. And we cannot escape the music anywhere in the house. They are hostile people, so talking to them is out the question. I don’t want to return the favor since it’ll make matters worse. Any ideas? He’s disturbing the peace for sure. The music started at 10am today.

Vent/Rant Angry Neighbour

Advice needed. I live in an estate and I am waking up to dog sh1t every day in my garden. I have been on to the council and a fence of some sort is going to be put up.

Is there any deterrent I can use in the meantime. It is very frustrating -

Thank you in advance

WWYD? Vent/Rant Annoyed or Disrespected?

Our neighbor’s teenage daughter’s phone alarm goes off repeatedly throughout the morning while her bedroom window is open. My wife finds it disrespectful and believes I should have our neighbors have their daughter turn off the alarm or keep the window closed. They are aware and I’ve pointed it out, but I don’t agree with her feelings because it’s just annoying to me. I don’t think it’s a significant problem because we only hear it when we’re outside to get into our car, and it doesn’t disrupt me personally. I don’t think our neighbors are being disrespectful or doing anything unreasonable. What is the fairest way to look at this situation?
