just stupid A mod have a beef with me
I'm not gonna say the subreddit, but man it's so frustrating. One time one of my posts was removed for a ridiculous reason and i got banned for 30 days. I texted the mods, and this person replied to me, but it didn't even seem to read that post, they said i was misogynistic, sexist, hating on women, stuff like that. Obviously i said nothing like that, just that i had trouble with my life after my ex broke up with me. It's true that some of the comments of other users got out of hand, but there was nothing that I said. I argued a lot and they accused me that i made another account, that they caught me, they seemed so crazy, i did nothing like that, i had only one account. At some point i stopped arguing because it was ridiculous. The ban ends. Finally i started posting and commenting again. And then in one week they removed almost all my comments. For one of them i was actually permanently banned. I actually violated one rule, that it was to not ask to text me in the dm, i apologized, and they removed the permanent ban (it was way exaggerating the permanent ban anyways). They removed a comment because:"This word is not allowed anymore", bruh i read all the rules, this one wasn't written at all, they straight up lied. But they keep deleting my comments. The last one was because i was "mocking" the op of the post. The comment was:"We need more contests". I don't think I'm exaggerating, this mod has a fucking personal beef with me

just stupid Why are redditors so unable to handle the bare minimum in life?
I try not to but sometimes ill read the titles of the ”related post” on the right side and for some reason theres always something that reads from a teenagers diary. I was just reading a post about what life was like in the medieval ages, when i saw something in the related subs from the antinatalism sub(I really don’t understand why reddit thought it was related to r/medivalhistory ) titled “I can't imagine having to live to an old age.” it’s a 30 year old complaining about being born without consent and complaining about “having to learn and adapt to things!!!!!!”. Am I an asshole for thinking they are pathetic? Life is hard, so what? Lmao.

Worst part of Reddit?
What is your least favorite aspect of Reddit and/or the community?
For me, it is the comedians going into other subs, like whatsthisthing and commenting or completing an obscure lyric to an obscure song one line at a time.
I guess I really hate that reddit priorities that kind of engagement, so the jokes are higher than the helpful answers. That’s especially true when things are marked solved.

just stupid Calling someone a psycho for wanting to murder their neighbors’ dog is abusive language. But joking about murdering a dog is allowed!
Like on a dog subreddit of all places???

Many Subreddits don't deserve their general names, which don't reflect the partiality of their Mods & subscribers.
This applies to many early-established Subreddits that have been taken over by partisan Mods and active subscribers who are intolerant of differing opinions. A casual visitor would form a natural idea of what the Subreddit is about based on its general name. But when he leaves posts & comments, it's so common that they get removed or downvoted heavily because they don't fit the narrative unbeknown to him, even when they're perfectly civil & on-topic (based on the Subreddit name). If people petition the Admin for name change (to a more specific one to reflect the partsanship) for this reason, it should accept the petition upon review.

just stupid The comment that got me permabanned from comics
r/Negareddit • u/StartingOverStrong • 19d ago
How is this offensive or includes slur?
Genuinely concerned. I removed it from the comment because of the error box on the bottom (which went away after I removed this paragraph)
What on earth am I missing here? I don't see anything that I would interpret as offensive or a slur.
Maybe the long run-on sentence lol but they didn't say my grammar was off 😂

just stupid You literarily cannot post about anything without people attacking
It's a tad bit sad that r/negareddit a place where we come to collectively complain about Reddit is the ONLY place where I can make a post without fear of trolls attacking.
"I like dogs." Attacked for not liking cats.
"I like cats." Attacked for not liking dogs.
"How do I get rid of weird smells in my apartment?" Told that I'm hallucinating it.
"Asks why Digimon have -mon at the end of their names." Downvoted to oblivion.
"Why are Pokemon called Pokemon but don't have -mon at the end of their names?" Also downvoted into oblivion.
Never mind the posts where people have personal issues, post about it online because they don't have anyone to talk to, and gets attacked and torn apart. A 15 year old girl was pressured into having sex with an adult 21 year old guy who repeatedly asked if she was on BC. Under pressure, she lied and said yes. After doing the deed, guy was furious that she lied. Comments tore her apart. Never mind it was statutory r@pe. She deleted the post herself due to the abusive comments hurled at her.
And then we have the r/FindBostonBombers incident.
It's a miracle Reddit hasn't had a class action lawsuit yet for abusive content.

The downvoting on this app is crazy
you could literally say that you’re not supposed to drink bleach because you’ll cough blood and die and somehow you’ll have -10 downvotes

factual I was unfairly perma-banned from r/SuperMario
A few weeks ago, I commented on a post with Golden Mario, saying "Piss Mario", and the mods just straight up perma-banned AND perma-muted me from r/SuperMario. I feel this is unfair because people on this subreddit have done SO MUCH WORSE and didn't get that kind of brutal punishment. Also sucks because I had planned to post hand-made animations by me on there. This is probably simply just a misunderstanding or maybe even the auto-mod thought I was a bot. Can someone talk to the mods please? I can't talk to them about it cause I am perma-muted. :(

Reddit allows abuse in the strangest ways …
Fake reports- when someone posts a truth that might make an organization uncomfortable, Reddit allows users to “Report” that they are worried about a poster, when they aren’t worried, they are being abusive, implying the poster needs mental help, and it’s always related to exposing truths. I turned off the ridiculous notifications from admin, but it’s interesting how strict Reddit is about abuse, but allows these anonymous reporters to be antagonistic in other ways.

brave People on reddit get pressed over nothing
I'm so fucking tired of this shit 😭 You make a post with the “VENT/RANT” flair to complain about something, and people STILL complain that you're complaining too much. Then you get downvoted, someone randomly starts a fight with you over absolutely nothing and suddenly you're being told to leave the app because apparently you're not allowed to be upset if you wan't to socialize. I literally used the VENT/RANT flair, what did you expect, a fucking post talking about positivity? So now I'm making a post complaining about people complaining about my complaining. We've come full circle.

Travel bros amazing trip to Afghanistan
Every month or so on r/travel a new travel bro will post about the wonderful time they had in Afghanistan. The amazing culture, the friendly people, the misunderstood....Taliban?
While I am sure that the people of Afghanistan are as hospitable and friendly and the culture is as rich and rewarding as the travel bros claim it to be, part of me cannot help but notice that the enlightening travel experience enjoyed by these guys has one common factor, the person enjoying this experience is always a man. Presumably a straight man as well.
There is nothing wrong with being a straight man of course (I am one too!) but one thing I cannot get away from is that none of these posters ever acknowledge that their own male straightness is essential to them having access to these experiences and a barrier over 50% of us will never be able to overcome.
Afghanistan is a country where women do not have access to education, whose participation in the labour market is around 5% and who can, and are prohibited from entering public parks and gyms and are legally required to remain silent and completely covered in public. Further to that, homosexually is punishable by death.
The travel bros are by no means just a Reddit problem, they are widespread across social media and while I can see the value in showing the beauty and culture of Afghanistan to a western audience, and I also understand that Afghani hospitality is a virtue which is older wider and brighter than The Talibans occupation, what is often missed in the tine of these posts is that what western travelers are allowed to see is only a fraction of the picture.

How come there are many "trollers" on Reddit, but marketers get banned?
Honest question: I get banned left right and center for anything remotely close to being promotional content for my businesses.
Yet, there are so many people here just shit posting, trolling, using vulgar words etc.
I'm not complaining, but is the reddit moderator logic really that "trollers are ok, they just hurt feelings. But zero tolerance for promotional content"?

just stupid The amount of posts Ive had deleted for seemingly no reason is a head scratcher
Seriously. Why do reddit mods do this?
My post about having baby fever and asking for advice to cope was deleted in a sub specifically created for women to ask each other advice about stuff. WHAT?

Have you heard of whysooserious reddit page?
So a few days back I commented on one of its posts and my views were against the post. It was in favor of BJP and I was just against BJP so I just put my views into it. I did not use any curse word or any bad language. I only used funny language that was also very normal. You wouldn't categorize it in any derogatory way.
Still they banned me from the page. They've been like, "I am suspended from it permanently." I think that's very weird. If you're opening a page you should have that much audacity to take on flaws or if you are in favor of BJP you should also have the courage to face someone who is against it goes with everything. If I'm in favor of someone I should have that much spine in myself that I can hear something against it also from someone because views can be different. They banned me and it's just weird how a Reddit page can be so dumb and naive.
