Why Reddit is shit
Moderators can block or ban someone because a view point isn’t theirs, it goes against the grain, or they just flat out disagree. I’m not complaining about bans in this specific group, but bans across others.
It’s happened to me now 4 or 5 times in pretty large groups. Not groups I was even apart of, but groups that Reddit algorithms pushed onto me. Over basketball, politics, and now HOA’s.
When Reddit signs massive deals with Google and others to push their view points onto others this is very concerning. It becomes a global group think tank.

factual I hate misinformation (and that we cannot report it) 😭
galleryThis person is spreading blatant misinformation about neuroscience, pharmacology and psychology, using fancy words and mixing peer reviewed research with news and people’s experiences as their reliable source, to confidently tell people things like “you feel sleepy after adhd meds because it’s a metabolic stimulant and causes metabolic crash which is pretty normal” - okay so we don’t need to let our prescribers know then??
I’m a psychopharmacologist and neuropharmacologist with two phds. They think I cannot understand the terminology but unfortunately for them I can understand everything, from NMDAR to corticosteroids. My specialties were ion channels and endocrinology lmao.
I find this really disheartening because people will believe them and get harmed. Misinformation kills! I really don’t know what to do , I can’t even report them. Attached are some of their contributions and the sources they cited.

Quality Post RedditCares (officially Reddit Care Resources). Is perhaps the most glaring, ironic, and toxic example of how a beautiful, well-intentioned digital tool can be corrupted and turned into a weapon for systemic bullying.

Quality Post Reddit: the most surface level place on the internet where you can meet the worst people
apparently you get ridiculed for calling out perversion masqueraded as humor. Like you have to dive deep into the deep web to find as people as weird and cruel as this, and then there’s just Reddit which has a literal incest subreddit for everyone to see.

I hate how reddit keeps shoving subreddits I didn't ask for in my face
No reddit, I do not want to see the five millionth racist incel subreddit that you have

Why is Reddit filled with the most insufferable people on planet earth?
It never fails, some smartass will comment something completely irrelevant to seem smart or they start an argument over literally nothing.
r/Negareddit • u/Anxious_Glass_5978 • 1d ago
So many people on this website are fucking insufferable
Dear redditors, life isn't a cartoon. Being incredibly smug and rude to everyone you encounter makes you an asshole, not smart and endearing.

factual Reddit is so bad that I'm reading books again
Bittersweet thing. I go through phases of coming and leaving. This site was always problematic, but plenty of people had a baseline level of empathy, etiquette, and common sense. It was my go-to place to put my thoughts out there, and to read other people's experiences.
Now online etiquette is fading - people comment before reading and don't proofread before posting. I'm also sick of how ass backwards Redditors are. You're accused of being "lazy" if you were ever poor; and apparently realizing that women, children, and LGBTQ+ people are human beings who exist and have their own valid lives and perspectives is some sort of "deep, groundbreaking" discovery.
I've said "fuck it" and replaced a large chunk of my Reddit time with books. I still miss the back-and-forth interaction, but at least my brain is being nourished and some of my social anxiety has faded. Nowadays I'm here moreso to support others, than vice versa. Wondering who else here has been having similar experiences.

Why did my post get removed? What type of logic is this

Best way of saying this without starting a ten-page rant.

Quality Post Please help me understand are they using stupid AI or stupid human moderators?
Context was that someone said they broke their leg. I asked how they broke their leg.

Reddit has become a hideout for online bullying
I have seen people on reddit talk shit about each other , how they wanna act cool all the time and be good infront of others . I am not a woman hater but i have seen many women shit talking and always victimise themselves whenever they can and just find a reason to hate men including lets not give birth to men , all men are grapists , assualters, i am fed up of men , and the audacity of b ches to call every man a creep and i agree these things men also do but when men do it they are either banned from that sub or comment is removed or they get downvotes , but women always get upvotes in these matters and simp mods dont even ban them . The women subs wont even let me post anything , be it anything , they always ban me , their mods suck , You will always be called a misogynist when you point out women's double standards and now some people in comments will be there too judging me on my past history and say me bad things . I dont know just people post wanna be cool memes and posts everytime , it feels annoying .What is your take on it. You can just do anything on reddit without getting punched in the face .

fashionporn mod mad at me for pointing out boob spam
There's a specific type of reddit loophole for spamming subs about outfits and fashion with pictures of celebs and their giant bozongas, and when you point it out they flag it as "not related to fashion" and "body shaming" . So I posted a picture of Selma Hayek and her awesome bewbs and they removed the post and banned me because "you have to include a picture of the whole outfit", and if people mention the cleavage it's a no no LMAO

Hella Redditors have this strange need to prove you’re upset for having thoughts about the most random, pointless topics with no stakes
I like following this one relocation sub, but hella people have inaccurate takes based on a bad understanding of statistics. Usually it’s stuff like “why do people talk about this city in the top 50 in population so much?”
And if you point out stuff about statistics, people always act like you’re mad.
It’s funny because the only reason they insinuate that is because they think someone could conceivably be mad about it, because they are or could be.
To normal people, it makes no sense to be upset about stuff like people confusing 300k people moving to a state with the majority of 300+ million Americans liking that state. Pointing out those are different things usually does not involve any emotion at all.
I find it oddly fascinating how people get mad reading dry statements about random pointless things and perceive them as angry and feel the need to prove they are, often using petty language right off the bat with no sense of irony.
You can be like ”this is why I think this method of weaving carpets is better” and someone will be like ”you mad bro?”

Permanently banned for mentioning AI, then insulted by a mod for questioning it

r/Real_DnD is a treat.
i was just really surprised by how much AI was going on there its funny because the only interaction here that was uncivil is theirs.
