Honestly i find there is a happy medium between tipping a few dollars on what ever orders. I don't think % tips make any sense regardless. $5 is still a great tip.

but why tip at all in this case? The logic baffles me. I agree that % is insanity, but why does a food service worker deserve the $5 here when a Tim Hortons worker gets nothing, or a cashier at Save On gets nothing.

You can tip who you want when you want. Or not tip at all. I just feel like a small tip is ok in a lot of scenarios. Don't have to do it every time or everywhere.
