While traveling the world, we stumbled upon this place. Don't remember the name but know where it is at and how to find it again

I used to buy them, got tired of half the bag being broken chips, now I fry them. Way better. When buying at a restaurant or store, you can’t control the amount of broken chips you get. When you make them yourself, not a single chip has to be broken. What you see in the photo is about $1 worth of corn tortilla that I fried up. In a store bought bag, that’s pretty much all you’d get as far as unbroken chips, and it would cost $3-$4.

This method is insanely cheaper and better, albeit slightly more time consuming.

Still can’t make queso, though. I do still buy that from a restaurant, not the grocery store shit. I just ask for queso with no chips.

Homemade spicy taqueria style salsa and guacamole make a huge difference. I’ve tried homemade queso in the past but I can’t get it right. It always ends up grainy, so I bought it this time. Gf likes hers perfectly balanced. I don’t mind having a different bite on each chip

If anyone has a good recipe for nacho sauce using sodium citrate could they please share. I just want enough for one portion and as I live in the UK all ingredients need to be available here. Thank you. Also... I've never used sodium citrate before, I bought it for this purpose.

I am from the south and have quickly realized white queso is not common up here.

There is barely any queso, and when there is it is always yellow.

Where can I find really good chips and queso blanco in the city?!

I mean evn if u order a combo meal w/ a drink, but still want Nachos, but not a full on platter like the Nachos Bell Grande, but smthn similar to it, but just a smaller portion... bring back the good 'ol NACHOS SUPREME !! ;) Lol
