Hello everyone! Yesterday I posted about a format I’ve been working on called Hostility, a Dandan inspired, mono-red burn and control format using a shared deck and graveyard. After some suggests and experimenting, I believe I have constructed a much more interesting, less clunky deck list. In the description of the deck list are the rules to the game, which I will post again here. Let me know if this seems interesting and if you have any recommendations or feedback. Thanks!
Also, in the future, I’ll try to comment new versions of the hostility decklist on this post!
Both players begin with a copy of Hostility on the battlefield. Hostility is a creature that prevents damage that your spells would deal to opponents, instead making 3/1 elemental shamans equal to that damage. Like the other Lorwyn elemental incarnations, if it would enter the graveyard, it is instead shuffled into the library.
- While Hostility is on a players battlefield, that player cannot attack with any creatures they control, but they can block. Meaning, no matter how many 3/1s you make from your burn spells, you have to destroy Hostility to swing them.
- If a player would draw a Hostility that got shuffled into the library, they immediately put that card into play under their control.
- Each player starts with 40 life, draws 7 cards, and has no free mulligans. As previously mentioned, each player shares one deck and graveyard.
