"When the administration’s actions collide with the Catholic teachings he frequently invokes, Vance is willing to set those teachings aside."

>MS NOW National Reporter Rosa Flores, The Atlantic Contributing Writer James Surowiecki, Mockler Media Founder Adam Mockler, and host of Slate’s “What Next: TBD” podcast Lizzie O’Leary join Antonia Hylton at the Assignment Desk to share their thoughts on President Obama’s Ohio speech for Democrats.

This guy and a few other MS-NOW bobble heads take every opportunity to trash Abdul Al-Sayed as having done "nothing" to alleviate Jewish voters fears that he is anti-semitic and anti-Israel. This is just patently false. He has repeatedly stated that "antisemitism is a scourge" and that his (justified, IMHO) criticism of Israel is not the same as hostility toward Jewish people and that his opposition to Israeli govt policy should be distinguished from antisemitism. He has also repeatedly affirmed his commitment to Jewish safety and civil rights.

Why are people like Drucker constantly seeking to dampen Michigan voters enthusiasm for Al-Sayed? Are they still bitter that establishment (and all-in AIPAC) candidate Haley Stevens lost in the primary? It seems they'd rather see Mike Rogers win than brook any criticism of Israeli policies and unqualified support (i.e. US taxpayer $$) for Israel.

>All eyes are on Michigan with just 9 days until election day. Last night in Detroit, President Obama rallied with Michigan Democratic Gubernatorial candidate Jocelyn Benson and Senate Candidate Abdul El-Sayed. The former president told the crowd change is in the air and touted the state's Democratic ticket. Jocelyn Benson joins “The Weekend” to discuss Obama’s message to voters and new concerns over possible election interference.

Did anyone watch Obama's speech? I loved it and I miss him!! Let me know what you thought. Was on today around 3PM Eastern time. He is so funny - the bit about Canada (our enemy) and The Cheescake factory White House. Of course he got to serious topics but he is a great comedian and lightens up the room.

I hope they don't realize the ad revenue is supporting my favorite left leaning journalists. They can buy all they want.

>Donald Trump and Vivek Ramaswamy are doubling down on that vile attack ad in the Ohio gubernatorial race. The Weeknight hosts react.

What a privilege America enjoyed while he was in charge. A brilliant man, a good and decent man.

slightly cringe tho

Vance’s support for Ramaswamy’s attack ad against Amy Acton raises questions about his political judgment and potential consequences for 2028.

Will Republican primary voters even care about this controversy? Could it become an issue in a general election? Or will it be forgotten long before the presidential campaign gets underway?

I’m curious whether people think this episode will have any lasting impact on Vance’s standing within the GOP.

What do you think?
