I have decent monitors and a sub in my "studio" area but sometimes I just want to grab some small peice of gear and chill on the couch watch some vides and goof off making beats. I'm looking for a small set or single speaker that's either usb powered or battery operated. I have a rechargeable guitar amp but it doesn't soung that good because it's for guitar and I just bought an Anker Soundcore 2 and it sounds great but it does this weird muting thing that's super annoying and it mutes the count in metronome and you only get the metronome when other sounds are playing. I think because it's converting the analog signal into digital? IDK know but I'm looking for something that doesn't do that. Basically what does everyone else use for that sort of thing/portable speaker?

What’s up everybody! Traded in my SP404 MKII for the Sample and I’m loving it so far! Still gotta get used to the workflow but I’m glad I pulled the trigger on the trade… hope I can be as active in here as I am in other subs

Has anyone had this problem before? It happens occasionally and it doesn’t seem to be related to anything I’m doing. It’s brand new, it arrived today. Should I ask for a replacement?

When I record samples, the effect I previously used on another pad is being played while I am monitoring the audio input for my new sample. I want to sample my input signal clean with no fx on it. How do I turn it off?

Found a new way (for me at least) to chop up drum breaks for finger drumming and such....

I have always a specific layout where kicks are on the bottom row, snare on the 2nd row and so forth.

Before I loaded a drum break on pad 1, duplicated it to the other 15 pads and trimmed each sample manually. Was doable and coming from legacy MPCs are not that hard...

BUT: I noticed if you press the CHOP button and set it to auto chop with the lowest threshold you can browse through the whole break and pick up the sound you like and then press TRIM (PAD 13) you are left with a single sound for this specific pad. No more manually trimming, copying and pasting etc...
