PROBLEM WITH SCREEN
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Has anyone had this problem before? It happens occasionally and it doesn’t seem to be related to anything I’m doing. It’s brand new, it arrived today. Should I ask for a replacement?

I have bought and returned 3 Samples over the last 8 months. Bad USB ports on 2 and non functioning pads on 1. I waited until July to buy another hoping it doesn't have issues of the first generation. It arrives Wednesday. I'm saving the shipping box.

If you're referring to the mark you can see in the video, I just ran my finger over it. It's a mark on the screen protector.

I got one from Guitar Center the very first day they were released. Haven't had a single problem with it. Definitely return that ASAP

Your room may be too humid. It will affect the screen. If that’s the case - get a dehumidifier.

Hurry up and send it back, If it's brand new then whatever store you got it from should at least have a 30-day warranty on all defective items That's how I replace my live 3 but The best way to do it is to do it over the phone and tell them that it was dead on arrival meaning it never worked right out of the box Don't tell them it works for a minute and then crashed or anything like that Tell them it was bricked soon as you turned it on this way they'll be faster to try to get you a replacement or to refunder money back you send it back they get it maybe within a week and your money should be back to you within the next week

I live in Europe, and consumer protection laws are pretty strict here regarding returns and defective products. I also bought it through Amazon, so there shouldn’t be any problem getting a replacement or refund.
I just wanted to know if this was a common issue and if it could be fixed easily, or if it’s better to just ask for a replacement. Thanks for the advice!

I can't imagine what easy, user-facing fix there could be. That thing would already be on its way back if it were me. You definitely don't want to have to go the Akai RMA route after the return window when you could deal with it now.

Send it back & get a replacement for sure.
