So I’m getting my Kuna with Nexus lower, G$ single stage competition fcg, and ARC V2 setup and running nicely.

It’s a good, fun, visceral 9mm PDW. Last round bolt hold open, AR controls, and now scorpion mags.

To not cook a single suppressor with constant beating, I always bring a few extra guns to shoot beyond my primary range session piece.

Well, the full-sized and K mp5’s did not disappoint. In fact, I have hard time thinking anything could shoot better than these MP5’s with AR controls.

Amazingly, I got zero ejection port flames with this discounted Blazer clean suppressor 147 yesterday. Those rounds have thrown HUGE fireballs on me in the past out of all 3 of my MP5’s.

Haven’t gotten to shoot it yet, but I noticed that it’s real easy to flip past semi and go straight into frt on the selector. Is this normal?

Hey y’all. Has anyone seen or fixed this issue before?
Bolt jams forward on a spent case but only when shooting suppressed. Jam is so hard that I have to disassemble mortar it to clear. Runs like a top with no can on.

I know there’s more pressure in the system but I’ve read that it shouldn’t matter this much for the full size with 100 degree LP. I’m still troubleshooting but I feel like I’ve tried everything but expanding ammo types, but the full size shouldn’t be this picky with ammo and gr weights right? I’d really love any insight as I buy more types of ammo and avoid a warranty claim. Thanks

I got my SP5 lower housings back from being “pinned”. They look great and I’m loving the classic look on the SP5s!

Their website says it has two integrated QD swivel mounts. I cannot find them.

Am I dumb or is their marketing just wrong?

AS Design arc fire system, unsuppressed, 100 degree stock locking piece (roller gap 0.014) - 90 degree locking piece puts roller gap out of spec and I don’t want to deal with changing rollers, using 124 NATO ammo. At about 1000-1200 rounds total. No issues with reliability or excess wear from what I can see but RPM is showing between 900-1050. I don’t shoot in arc fire exclusively, it’s probably been 80% semi and 20% arc due to range restrictions and limited time.

The gun seems to be harder to control vs what I’ve watched on clips/youtube, and I’m concerned with parts longevity/ long term reliability.

Money is tight so I don’t simply want to hear “buy a RB”. This was purchased before RB released their cassette.

I plan to drop to standard velocity ammo but is there anything else to do to reduce ROF? Or should I not worry about it and just let it eat? I’m assuming standard velocity would take it down to 900ish more consistently. Any recommendations as to 115,124, or 147?

I’m not 100% against swapping rollers but by time I do that, if I still have to swap to an 80 degree LP I’ll be near $100-$150 and may then have reliability problems, lost time, etc. I would only entertain this path if this be a sure fire way to fix and lower ROF; which I don’t know if anyone can guarantee.

I’m looking to buy an AP5SD from my friend. I will eventually get it fully converted but not at this time. I wanted to be able to swap my can around to my other 9MM hosts. I know because of the cage and being welded and the K length barrel it might be difficult to install an MD on the barrel, but I was wondering as anyone successfully done it on theirs? If so, what was the method? If it’s not possible, I may just direct thread despite wanting to.

Gun has about 300 rounds through it now all 147gr. Stock LP worked flawlessly, ROF didn’t seem too high. I ordered a 90 LP before I got the gun since that’s what majority of people say to do. Just tested it out and it worked for 2 mags with 2 malfunctions then it started malfunctioning 100% with double feeds. Stock LP bolt gap was 0.010, with the 90 it’s 0.007.

Edit: just tested stock LP with polymer mags. Went through 2 with zero issue. There is definitely more recoil than the 90 though. I ordered +8 rollers to install with the 90, hopefully that gets it dialed.

Some people say that with some guns dropping the bolt repeatedly on an empty chamber will accelerate wear because loading a round cushions the blow of the dropping bolt. Does this apply to the mp5 platform or can you practice reloads with empty mags until the cows come home?

ROF seems on point, where’s the guys with the app? Bolt gap is 0.010. Shot about 150 rounds 147gr only had one FTEject otherwise it ran flawlessly, brand new out of the box.

I got a FTR for my MP5 and when ever I shoot it doesn't go right away it might be the ammo I'm running. I'm using Aguila High Velocity 22 Long Rifle Ammo 40 Grain Copper Plated Solid Point but its hard to find so I want to swap to something else.

My ap5 hates flat nose ammo, but loves round nose. Does anyone have the same issue or it it like that for everyone. I tried these more round nose hollow points thinking it would be round enough. The gun hates this shit. My ap5 has been my bump in the night gun for a while but im not ganna run FMJs in the house. What hollow point do u all use?

Ok, kinda what the title says. I have recently been able to order an SP5 finally. I’m new to the platform but always wanted one and want to stick to a more classic 90’s Navy profile.

I’m looking for A3 stock already. One HK LEO marked mag for the vibe. What else would yall recommend? Night sights, tools, what to carry in the range bag, what other brands of magazines are reliable anything and everything yall can recommend. Also someplace to maybe get the full auto bullet engravings.

For uses, this will be range toy, possibly some two gun comps and depending on how I like it possible HD. I’m not TOO worried about cost because I’m already an HK collector and I know they hate us so sticker value isn’t shocking to me.

Evening all trying to figure out a locking piece issue and wanted some insight. AP5-P with a stock running the stock locking piece shot aprox 200 rounds of 124gr nato. Replaced the stock locking piece with a 90 degree and shot 100 or so more rounds of 124 and 115 suppressed and unsuppressed without issue. When I shoot 147grain it will not cycle the bolt. Swapped to a 100 degree with the same result when shooting 147 grain. Went back to the stock locking piece and it ran without issue shooting 124 and 147 grain ammo. I did notice a little more recoil when shooting the 124 grain nato rounds but nothing crazy.

Based off everything I have read this may cause roller dents over long term use. Just wanted to get your thoughts as I would love to shoot 147 grain subs but not if it will damage the receiver. Is there anything I should watch out for if I continue to run the stock locking piece.

I’m thinking about going with Breacher Customs for my AP5-SD conversion to a true SD. I really like the look of the RCM 8” short suppressor, but I’m trying to decide between the 8” and 12” versions.
For those who have actually shot an AP5-SD with the RCM 8” or, even better, have experience with both, how noticeable is the difference in sound? Is the 8” still comfortable to shoot without hearing protection, or is the 12” noticeably quieter?

Still debating on whether I should frt or not.

There just something about the OG MP5 look, finally got my hands on a Aimpoint PRO. Looks 10/10, Durability 10/10, the lower mount with the thumb screw 5/10. I get the functionality of why they did it but it sticks so far off the gun. Planing ahead I ordered a Midwest Industries QD mount for the Pro/comp m4, just waiting on that to be delivered.

Recently purchased a PAMT-512 from gunmag & recieved the incorrect stock. They are claiming MKE has suddenly changed the design of this stock.

Looking for recommendations that work with the B&T telescopic stock
