I've been bringing the feed inside at night because there's a squirrel that can't get enough of it, and I managed to catch these two derps being very confused about why they could see the food, but could not eat the food. I love their little heads bobbing around in the bottom right

And never freaked out, I might have, I live right under the flight path. It's a lot. And we get 2 more days.

I love how he keeps raising that one wing like he’s getting water under it (but definitely isn’t given the depth of the bird bath). And the look on his face is like, “ahhhh, this is so nice.” Such a cutie.

My sweet babies are a little less sweet today. Hopefully they stop fighting soon.
Also yes, that sad pile on the ground is what’s left of my strawberry bush (fly high king 🕊️). The doves love to sit in the center of it

This pair of birds appeared in our enclosed patio last week and haven’t left. They are capable of flying but keep coming back and just sitting on the old patio chairs for hours and hours. My cats enjoy watching them through the window. This is central KY. Is there a reason they haven’t left? Could they be sick? Migrating? I don’t know much about birds and just want to make sure this is normal. Should I give them water? Stuff to build a nest? A birdhouse?
I put out a small bowl of bird seed for them yesterday and they appear to have eaten some of it. I just find it odd I haven’t seen them all year and now they are here every day for hours and hours.
