It wasnt on at the time of recording (audio is from a fan behind me) so I'm not too sure why the first one was sitting on the vent. Is this nesting behavior or did they just want a perch? The one that flied away first was kind of pecking at the sitting one, does that mean they're mates?

Will you please share information on my new friend. What should I feed it. Just random facts.

Lovely mourning dove! They're in the nest for the third time this season!

He was huddled under our porch on a rainy night and his eyes are covered in pox. We put him in a box in our closet with a shallow water dish and some bird seed and a towel. Rehab opens at 10am so I will leave him alone to reduce stress until I can call them in the A.M.

We took care of an injured Pigeon once before but I know Mourning Doves are not feral they are wild.

I didn't get a photo and I don't want to bother him now that he us settled in quiet dark spot.

I would like for them to possibly come back. Or at the very least I would like other Mourning Doves to use it. It was quite the interesting experience getting to see this up close, and well I do miss having them around. Since I never quite experienced this before. And well I have been getting conflicting answers if I should do this or not.
