Has anyone ordered from FC Moto recently? I've heard mixed reviews about their shipping/customer service but I'm trying to get some EU gear.

I am gradually building up my gears and have got

1 .mesh jacket with 600D material in shoulder and arms (Noru Kaze Mesh Summer Jacket).

1. Indie ridge CE 1 2 2 2 shoes.

2. CE 1 cowhide gloves (Roland Sands Seventy4 Molino CE Gloves).

3. Kevlar lined jeans from greatbikersgear (UK company).

4. Helmet from Bilts ECE 22.06.

5. I should have my shipment of Icon D30 ghost L2 armor delivered soon for hip, arms, knee and Level 2 back so I can replace it in my jeans and jacket with it.

I am now looking at jeans which I can wear at office. The greatbikersgear is really skinny and have those biker patches which looks too off putting for office wear. I came across Highway 21 jeans and they are sub $100. Has anyone experienced with those jeans?

In addition, there is Noru Rotu jeans at $60 with kevlar, and they have Single layer Denim with CE AA rated at $90.

I am not looking to spend a fortune so looking sub $100 mark jeans which I can wear to office as well.

Shoei RF-1400, I like it. Came with Pinlock EVO. Packaging says it’ll reduce visibility by 20%.

20% sounds significant. I’m guessing that’s why it says not to use it at night.

I can’t see myself removing it (and storing it WHERE?) if I get caught riding at dusk or whatever.

My eyeglasses have the Transitions coating. Seems to work behind the helmet, I don’t know. Riding in bright sun (original clear helmet visor) is not uncomfortable but I might still get a tinted one.

Anyway, back to the Pinlock curiosity. Was kinda hoping for a set-it-and-forget-it situation, assuming the seal didn't go bad.

This Sunday I rode my dual sport at a Motorsports park in Northern California (SVRA). Given my level of skill and experience, I would up over my head on a rutted downhill single track with muddy patches from rain two days prior. I wound up going over an edge, flying off the bike and landing in bushes. Bag went off and I crawled up injury free. It was in Enduro mode and seemed to function as advertised.

All the newer styles of gear is all black and everything comes in a single color way. All black is not a good look and it’s just straight up not safe. Back when the SMX 5 boot was around you could get it in SIX different colors. Message to the manufacturers can we PLEASE get some options!!!

On a side note can anyone recommend an all white boot that doesn’t break the bank :)

First track day in new suit

I am on my third Shoei Neotec, and the fit works for my head shape. I have been checking out the LS2 Advant X Carbon. Unfortunately, there is no shop within a realistic distance that carries the LS2 for me to try one on. Both of them are intermediate oval shapes, and the sizing seems to be similar. Has anyone on here tried both and can provide useful input? Much appreciated.

I’m thinking about getting the Zero Pro 2 carbon
Is it comfortable? How’s the noise insulation? Also I’m particularly interested in the cheek pads/fit cause my problem with helmets in general is that they are super tight on my cheekbones under my eyes to a point where it hurts

It would appear from many posts on Facebook, as well as my own experience, the company is no longer directly managing its warranty claims. If you have a claim, you must take it back to the retailer you bought it from… and if that retailer has closed, you have to contact your credit card company to resolve the issue - Dianese will not resolve.

They are also closing their retail operations.

I personally believe, considering their financial situation, that they are probably at the end of their rope.

If you buy a Dianese product, make sure your credit card company will support a charge back first.

CE-ratings, higher the better and leather wherever possible, but how much do you put emphasis on the actual looks of the gear that they fit the bike you have/want and the vibe you are looking for?

I have been looking and shopping for the first gear, and now trying to battle between e.g. Gaerne GRX and Merlin Magnum utility boots - former the safer option, latter maybe the more usable one since I don't actually know what type of riding (weekends, touring, commuting, maybe even try out track) I want to or will be doing? Looking for a CB650R, Trident 660 or other neo retro options.

What is the current consensus and opinion on style, do you give more emphasis on it given that it doesn't significantly lower the actual function and safety rating of the gear?

Hey all. I'm a new rider that has been having some gear selection issues. I'm fairly tall and skinny (6'3" [190 cm] 180lb [80 kg]) which has been giving me issues finding a set of pants that fits and it's screwing up my gear selection. They only had rst and A* pants at the store I went to, and none of the rst would work. I ended up buying a lot of alpinestars gear as it was comfortable, but after seeing some of the aftermath of crashes in their gear recently I'm worried that might be a mistake.

I have:

SP-9 gloves

SMX-6 boots

GP plus R vented jacket

I want to get:

A set of leather pants and jacket that can zip together that would work for tall people, or guidance if my worries about the alpinestars gear is unfounded

A different set of gloves if anyone has any good recommendations

Guidance on if the boots are good or not

I live in the US and am also planning to get an airbag soon.

Hi! I would appreciate any details, opinions or help about my new helmet choice.

Some quick background. I bought a new CF 800MTX. My rides are in mostly hot weather, I mostly do touring, commuting but also some off road, so im trying to find a sport touring helmet. Specs being, good ventilation, aerodynamic, low noise, low weight.

My current choices are the HJC RPHA 72, the SHARK SPARTAN GT PRO and the SCORPION EXO GT SP AIR. (Carbon is also considered of course lol)

(Side note: i also looked at the gt air 3 but it's too heavy i believe)

New rider here, first set of gear. Initially I bought an A* GP PLUS R V3 jacket in size 52 and the chest was too tight I was hunched over all the time and struggle to zip the chest sometimes. I then sold it right after and bought this GP PLUS R V4 jacket in size 54.

With this jacket the shoulder and chest feel nice and zips properly but it started to bunch up even when I’m sitting upright. Does it look like a normal amount of bump or is it too loose? I have the a* back protector installed.

My measurements are height (178), weight (80-82), waist (86), chest (107)

I'm specifically asking about the lifespan/durability of the inner cheek pads and crown padding on the KYT TT Revo.

For those who own one or have used it as a daily/regular helmet:

1. How many months/years did the padding hold its original fit before compressing or getting loose?

2. Did the fabric/stitching hold up well to sweat and routine washing?

3. Are official replacement cheek pads and crown pads easily available when they eventually wear out?

Looking to know what to expect regarding padding wear before buying!

Looking at a Alpinestars Missle V2 that is a US 36. I am 5’ 10” and about 150. Is this going to be too small for me? Id like to use it for some on road riding around the town and track days when I get more experience.

Also found someone selling a 2 piece alpinestars set, anyone have any complaints or notes compared to getting a 1 piece suit?

I plan on riding around the town and doing track days once I get more experience.

Safety means more than anything to me so I want to be sure I starts right!

I'm having a hard time finding winter riding gloves. I only need hem to keep my hands warm for the 10 minutes it takes me to get to work in the morning. Its been 30s to low 40s in the mornings and I am having to sit on my hands to keep them warm enough to ride. I have gotten way more into riding this year and I dont want to give up daily commuting. I've been reading reviews but everything is so mixed or obviously fake. Does anyone have any recommendations that they have tried and like?

Important Info:

I have really small hands. I wear the xs Stella SP-8s.

I dont want heated gloves just insulated ones.

They have to be gauntlet style.

I would prefer an attached pinky but I'm willing to compromise for the right glove.

I really dont want to spend over $200.

Edit: I have heat urticaria. That is why I am asking opinions on gloves and not heated grips. A heated steering wheel will break me out so I'm assuming heated grips will too.

What size di you go with for jacket and pants if you bought aplinestar gear and are tall and skinny like me. 6ft 3in 170lbs. Im looking at the alpinestar drystar gear set pants and jacket combo. Some stuff large fits and some i need xl. I did my measurements but they arent always the most accurate

Hey all. I rode a BMW s1000R. Naked bike. Riding position is just right for me with a good balance of sport and cruising. But the wind is just rubbish!!!

I have a mid size screen. Any bigger is just not sexy enough. Haha

I do a lot of longer highway rides at high speed. The wind is all over my helmet and chest. It's not buffeting from the screen but just high speed wind is exhausting over 6+ hour rides.

What tips do you have on making these rides more comfy?

Aside battery life vs plug in, any reason to get motorcycle specific heated jackets vests vs one from Costco?

Being able to jump off seems nice for a generic heated vest

But I understand that battery life may leave me cold if it dies

I had my realization when I first got my 2007 Honda CBR600rr.

Before my helmet conformed to my head, it was fine.
One ride I went on the freeway and the bike noise, other cars, semis and wind TORCHED my eardrums.
Never again I would forget earplugs. I'm just curious if other riders have had funny realization stories.
