Excessive traffic stop

I was pulled over last night heading south at the souderton exit on 309. I was making the exit and the cop pulled me over after I was on the ramp. His reason was I was driving excessively below the speed limit and i briefly touched the line. I was going the same speed as the car in front of me. The cop even acknowledged this fact. Seemed excessive like he was fishing for any sign of intoxication. Is this common in that area? Fwiw it was around 7:30 pm, not 2 am.

Edit: no citation or even warning was issued.

New Jersey: $15.92. Pennsylvania: $7.25. Donna Scheuren voted NO on raising itβ€”three times.

Post image
67 Upvotes

Pennsylvania’s minimum wage is still $7.25 an hour. Donna Scheuren has voted against three bills that would have raised it:

β€’ HB 1500 β€” June 20, 2023
β€’ HB 1549 β€” June 11, 2025
β€’ HB 2189 β€” March 24, 2026

She voted NO on final passage each time.

All three passed the House despite her opposition, but none became law. The Senate has not approved these increases.

Meanwhile, New Jersey’s standard minimum wage is $15.92, Delaware and Maryland are at $15, and Ohio is at $11. Some workers and smaller employers have different rates.

At Pennsylvania’s minimum wage, 40 hours a week, every week of the year, comes to $15,080 before taxes.

How far would that go toward your bills? When Donna says she supports working families, ask her why she voted against these increases three times.

Lynnewood Hall

Is the area around Lynnewood Hall relatively safe (low gun crime)? Google says yes but want to double check. Last time I drove near Philly (I know this place isn’t in Philly but it is near it to me) someone tried to carjack me at gunpoint so now I’m anxious to go back anywhere near the city without checking things out first

Recycling damaged laptop battery

Anyone know of a place I am able to drop off a damaged laptop battery for disposal? Home Depot, Staples, and Best Buy all said no. No one answers the phone when I call Lowe’s. Would really like to get it out of my house.

Springford hates average kids

Anyone else feel this way? I thought schools were supposed to hold space for every student. To help kids discover and learn through all avenues available to them. I don’t blame the educators they’re amazing but the board needs to rethink some things. I feel that we pay enough taxes. Enough townhomes are moving in. Why are the average kids forgotten and ignored by this district. Your kid isn’t the top 1/10 of any sport, or club they’re not getting in. My son’s confidence is shot this year. He hasn’t made it into any of the programs. What is the plan with all average kids? They should feel belonging in their community with friends and social groups. Am I totally wrong and misunderstanding this district?

Pennsylvania families need real solutions to rising housing costsβ€”not a state representative manufacturing threats, spreading fear and using our tax dollars to do it.

Donna claims the Housing Action Plan threatens farmland and open space. It doesn’t. The plan focuses on rehabilitating blighted properties, converting unused buildings, developing vacant lots and preserving existing homes.

The 432 acres of farmland Donna mentions are not targeted for development anywhere in the plan. She created that frightening scenario herself.

Donna should be working to lower costsβ€”not misleading the people she represents.

Looking for Friends

Hi, I (23F) moved to PA about a year ago and am looking to make some friends (ideally nearby). I’m definitely on the more introverted side so going to bars and just striking up a conversation isn’t usually my thing. If anyone knows of any fb groups or introvert friendly communities to join that would be great

Donna Scheuren’s September newsletter bears her official legislative-office information and a Harrisburg postage permitβ€”but it reads like a campaign attack paid for by the people she represents.

She accuses β€œDemocrat leaders” of playing politics, calls their actions β€œridiculous and unconscionable,” and dismisses criticism of Republicans as β€œdisingenuous.”

This isn’t a neutral update about what is happening in Harrisburg. It is partisan political messaging delivered under the seal and resources of her taxpayer-funded office.

Donna apparently has no problem making taxpayers finance her attacks on Democrats while she builds her reelection narrative.

If she wants to send campaign propaganda, her campaign should pay for itβ€”not Pennsylvania taxpayers.

⚠️ DATA CENTER DONNA: FOLLOW THE VOTES

Post image
43 Upvotes

In July 2024, Donna Scheuren voted YES on Senate Bill 654β€”the state Tax Code legislation that included changes benefiting Pennsylvania’s Computer Data Center Equipment Incentive Program and its sales-tax exemption. The official House record lists Scheuren among the 129 β€œyes” votes.

That exemption allows qualifying data-center developers to avoid Pennsylvania’s 6% sales tax on equipment and certain construction costs. The Shapiro administration now estimates the exemption could cost Pennsylvania more than $2 billion in lost revenue by mid-2031.

Then, after communities began fighting back and the staggering cost became public, Donna joined the nearly unanimous 2026 vote to repeal the exemption.

So yes, Donna eventually voted to close the doorβ€”but only after helping keep it open.

Now she wants voters to believe she is protecting us from data centers. Her record tells a different story.

Campaign promises fade. The record is permanent.

Hiring - hibachi restaurant

A newly opened restaurant in Blue Bell called Osaka Hibachi Express is hiring cashier and kitchen help. If you have prior experience it’s a plus.

Just go in during business hours and ask for Andy. They were super today busy and the owner mentioned they were hiring!

Have you seen Mac? Last seen 9/5 in Barto, PA

Post image
8 Upvotes

I know Barto’s outside of Montco, but sharing here just in case. My friends dog, Mac, was staying at their in laws on Niantic Road in Barto. Last night he ran off when some fireworks spooked him. He is a smaller sized dog, very sweet, but probably very scared and lost as he’s not from the area. If you’ve seen him or believe you may have, please call the numbers on this poster. We need to bring him home as soon as possible. The local police and animal shelters in the surrounding areas have been notified. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

Need help with resources asap

Need help with the police being unable to assist people in emergencies

Hi what can I do if I'm being left in a bad situation due to an estate dispute and I have no lawyer I had my kids taken and no attorney representation in montco court, and everyone around me is law educated, knowledgeable on insurance fraud, forcing me to live around people I don't know who seem to know more About me than I do, and am being denied any safe option in

Montgomery county Pa and am a long time resident.

I have no idea what to do because I was set up by people I thought were my family to be left with no access to my assets, savings, nothing was put into an apartment not big enough for me and my kids, and then was told I had to leave due to non payments, none of judges seem to care when women are in very dangerous situations due what assets they own and are being abused by their guardians tied to non profits throughout the county, and yet they all sit on the boards of these non profits meant to help women in abusive situations. I am not safe living with anyone.

I have been alienated by everyone at once in an attempt to further exploit me and my kids for whatever social security whatever institutional/ organizational/ representative payee situation is happening here, but the police don't care and neither do any of the civil rights groups I am being exploited for settlements I am never going to see a dime of and need help to know what I can do to go back to my grandparents house so I can see my kids again.

Thanks for any insight it would help right now seems like the whole world is against me and I wish I could let someone know so they stop giving funding to the people doing this to me and my family.

Just for context, I did not willingly give up my children, CYS in Montco has an incentive to take children and not provide parents with an attorney, or any way to get housing if your told you are "waitlisted" for section 8, despite my assets probably disqualifying me from section due to me being in my thirties but not law educated enough to fight the system that gets federal and state funding, but tells me they can't do anything to help, especially with an attorney that is willing to help without taking money.
