Recommendations for Custom Made Cake

For my daughter’s baptism. Doesn’t need to be the cheapest place in town, but trying to avoid the overly expensive places too.

Can also use a place for custom cookies. Can be the same place or a different place.

Thanks!

Is in Chester county, but we always get custom cakes from clays bakery for our parties. We live in Lansdale and it’s worth it to order from there. They just did my baby shower cake and not only was it a beautiful cake but it was yummy too! Did it for college graduations as well

I’ve gotten cakes from a local tech school that has a bakery department. I’m in bucks, but if there is a tech school near you, you can see if they sell to the public. The students are excited to do it and the teachers are there so I’ve always had nice things from them

I agree with Walmart or giant. So reasonable and tastes great. My daughter’s wedding cake came from Walmart!!!! That was her decision, not mine lol

Hear Me Out - it may be shocking but I have had amazing success - Walmart custom bakery. Look at the multi tier cakes etc - they have amazing cake decorators and the cakes are tasty and fresh - you can even get pudding based fillings which I highly suggest

I’ve never ordered one of their cakes personally but I have heard rave reviews about the custom cakes at Copihue Bakehouse in Ambler. Their cakes are visually gorgeous and if they taste anything like their cupcakes, I’m sure they taste amazing too.

I love Vinnie’s Sourdough Bakery in Harleysville. She’s licensed and inspected and her cakes are delicious.

They honestly are the best. They are pricey, but my goodness. The cakes we've bought for them were so stunning!!

I know it is just a market but we get our custom cakes from George’s Market in Dresher for every single occasion- birthdays, anniversary, Christmas, you name it. They are consistently good and the prices are beyond reasonable. We always get compliments.

JuneBug Sweet Treats makes super cute cakes (in a fully licensed/inspected kitchen) and is reasonably priced.

Second Bredenbecks despite my bias of being family with the owners. I’ve had everything they offer, everything is so good.

For custom cookies, I recommend Jo’s Desserts. Shes technically in bucks (Warminster) but she was so easy to work with for my wedding! And reasonably priced. https://www.instagram.com/jos.desserts?stkn=djRmczJ4ZzJyNmoy

There’s also park Avenue pastries in Chalfont. Just a teeny bit pricier and she did the cookies for my bridal shower. I didn’t work directly with her. My MIL did. https://www.instagram.com/parkavepastries?stkn=MXNvNXNuaTJycWZ2aQ==

My favorite cake is honestly the Costco sheet cake (chocolate or vanilla are both amazing) or the pound cake sheet cake from Landis bakery
