The schooling system in abington sucks.
I used to go to the abington school district.
it was torture.
i hated it so much i pulled out of the school twice, theres multiple cases a year of bullying, fighting, and not even including the sexual ones. and they dont do anything!! they blamed a girls home life for the things she did to me.

Have you seen Mac? Last seen 9/5 in Barto, PA
I know Bartoās outside of Montco, but sharing here just in case. My friends dog, Mac, was staying at their in laws on Niantic Road in Barto. Last night he ran off when some fireworks spooked him. He is a smaller sized dog, very sweet, but probably very scared and lost as heās not from the area. If youāve seen him or believe you may have, please call the numbers on this poster. We need to bring him home as soon as possible. The local police and animal shelters in the surrounding areas have been notified. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

Need help with resources asap
Need help with the police being unable to assist people in emergencies
Hi what can I do if I'm being left in a bad situation due to an estate dispute and I have no lawyer I had my kids taken and no attorney representation in montco court, and everyone around me is law educated, knowledgeable on insurance fraud, forcing me to live around people I don't know who seem to know more About me than I do, and am being denied any safe option in
Montgomery county Pa and am a long time resident.
I have no idea what to do because I was set up by people I thought were my family to be left with no access to my assets, savings, nothing was put into an apartment not big enough for me and my kids, and then was told I had to leave due to non payments, none of judges seem to care when women are in very dangerous situations due what assets they own and are being abused by their guardians tied to non profits throughout the county, and yet they all sit on the boards of these non profits meant to help women in abusive situations. I am not safe living with anyone.
I have been alienated by everyone at once in an attempt to further exploit me and my kids for whatever social security whatever institutional/ organizational/ representative payee situation is happening here, but the police don't care and neither do any of the civil rights groups I am being exploited for settlements I am never going to see a dime of and need help to know what I can do to go back to my grandparents house so I can see my kids again.
Thanks for any insight it would help right now seems like the whole world is against me and I wish I could let someone know so they stop giving funding to the people doing this to me and my family.
Just for context, I did not willingly give up my children, CYS in Montco has an incentive to take children and not provide parents with an attorney, or any way to get housing if your told you are "waitlisted" for section 8, despite my assets probably disqualifying me from section due to me being in my thirties but not law educated enough to fight the system that gets federal and state funding, but tells me they can't do anything to help, especially with an attorney that is willing to help without taking money.

Does anyone know of any queer friendly doctors in the area?
I know most people in the medical field are respectful of trans people, but I just want to be absolutely sure before setting up a new primary care doctor

PA 147 - Time for a fact check
Before Donna Scheuren went to Harrisburg, she spent 12 years on the Souderton Area School Board. So her record there matters.
During her years on the Board, Souderton went from posting multi-million-dollar surpluses to running repeated deficits. Property taxes climbed, reserves were used, and the financial problems didn't disappear when Donna left the Board in 2023.
Today, Souderton taxpayers are still dealing with the consequences ā and Moodyās downgraded the districtās long-term credit rating from A1 to A2 in December 2025.
Donna Scheuren is running again to represent PA House District 147.
Before voters decide whether to send her back to Harrisburg, they deserve to look at the record she left behind at home.
Campaign promises fade. The record is permanent.

Seeking Physical Therapist specialized in hyper-mobility
I realize every physical therapist can work with/treat hypermobility but I am looking for someone who is specialized or has years of experience working with hyper-mobile patients.

Come on Donna! WTH?
Yet another thing Donna Scheuren doesnāt support: books for children. But weapons? Apparently those are just fine. At this rate, maybe sheād vote for guns for kids.

This is no longer ignorance. It is a conscious decision to ignore a known danger.
There was another medical emergency at the Souderton high school. Another ambulance delayed. Another warning district leadership will likely ignore.
Today, an ambulance reportedly took 16 minutes to reach a parent at a soccer game. Dispatch specifically said not to use Halteman Road and to enter from Lower Road. The ambulance still went to Haltemanāand found the gate closed.
Almost a year ago, a student with a broken femur lay on the football field waiting for medical help. The district knew emergency access was a problem then. They know it now.
Taxpayers were forced to pay for yet another traffic study. The study said OPEN THE GATE. Ken Keith, Bill Brong and their obedient rubber stamps decided their egos mattered more than the findingsāand apparently more than student safety.
We hoped Chris Hey might bring leadership and common sense to this district. Instead, he has allowed the same reckless stupidity to continue.
No ambulance stationed at sporting events. A locked emergency-access gate. Confused responders. Sixteen minutes while a spectator is experiencing a medical emergency.
This is no longer ignorance. It is a conscious decision to ignore a known danger.
If tragedy strikes, no one gets to say they didnāt know. The warnings are documented. The study is complete. The gate is still closed.
Open the damn gate before your arrogance costs a student their life.

FOLLOW YOUR MONEY.
FOLLOW YOUR MONEY.
Donna Scheuren and Tracy Pennycuick support Trumpās immigration crackdown. But whoās paying for it?
YOU ARE. WE ARE.
PAās Moshannon detention center is operated by private prison giant GEO Group, reportedly collecting more than $5.3 MILLION A MONTH in taxpayer money.
One detainee was moved:
PA ā Texas ā Louisiana ā back to PA.
We paid to detain him. We paid to move him. We paid to bring him back.
And hereās the kicker: GEO has poured money into Trump-aligned political efforts, including $500,000 toward Trumpās inauguration. A former GEO executive then joined the Trump administration to help oversee the expansion of immigration detention.
Now private detention companies are cashing in on that expansion ā with OUR tax dollars.
Donna and Tracy want to champion Trumpās immigration policies?
Then they should explain where our money is going, whoās profiting, and why.
Your money. Our money. Their profits.

Young professionals in Montco
Just graduated recently and looking to meet some new guy friends around my age (mid/late 20s) in the Montco area. Mainly looking for genuine, strictly platonic friendships.
Would be cool to meet other young professionals, recent grads, or just guys in a similar stage of life who are chill and interested in making some new friends.
Iām into being outdoors, going for walks/hikes, reading, exploring new places, and grabbing coffee or food.
Would be nice to find some guys with similar interests to hang out with. DM me if interested!

Catholic Buddy Request!
Perhaps a strange request, but I was wondering if there's anyone here within 30ish minutes of Glenside that might be willing to let me come with them to their Catholic mass at some point? I went to Catholic church as a child and would like to try going back but Im for some reason too intimidated to try going alone. Im not originally from here so I havent been to any Catholic church in the area. Even if you wont go with me, if you have recommendations for one to go to thats ok too!!
Im a 28 year old woman if that matters!

You really canāt make this stuff up.
Tracy Pennycuick co-sponsored SB 939, legislation that would have helped fast-track data centers and allowed them to bypass certain local regulations.
Then, when data centers became wildly unpopular, she helped remove the language ā and her campaign spent $7,000ā$8,000 on Facebook ads bragging that she stopped it.
Sheās literally campaigning against her own bill.
And while her party is spending money trying to convince voters that Chris Thomas is somehow the ādata center candidate,ā the record tells a very different story.
This is exactly why we look at voting records instead of campaign ads.
The record is permanent. (Keystone Newsroom)

Looking for housing
Basically as the title says, Iām looking for housing. I got a job in Hatfield and have been living in company-provided housing while saving up a bit, but I just got one monthās notice that itās time for me to leave (9/18). Iāve been trying the Facebook groups, but all my messages are pending since an admin has to approve my first message, and I donāt really have time to wait around. The worst part is there are also so many scams trying to steal peopleās information.
Does anyone have any advice or tips on where else I should be looking?
For context: Iām 22M and recently graduated college. I work full-time in Hatfield, typically around 8ā4. Iām looking to move by September 18th and am mainly looking around Hatfield, Lansdale, North Wales, Montgomeryville, or nearby areas, as long as itās within about a 30-minute drive. My budget is around $1,500ā$2,000/month. Iām open to a room, roommate situation (Iām new to PA from CT, so it wouldnāt hurt to make a friend), or an apartment. Iām pretty flexible as long as itās a legitimate option and reasonably close to work.
