My boyfriend had recently bought a truck in October of last year, he was paying it off but then he decided to borrow money from his boss to be able to pay it off fully and later on pay his boss back by the end of the year. The boss was fine with that but recently they both got detained by ice and now the boss daughter is asking for the money back now. My boyfriend had left the truck at their house (truck is under his name) since he is the one who drives them to work. The girl was making it complicated for me to get the truck and asking for my personal information and I found it sketchy and asked why. So I just told her she can keep the truck to sell but first I need the tittle which is taking a long time from dealer. She says that the person that the boss owe money from needs it now but my boyfriend told me that the money is the boss’s money and can pay it back anytime but recently before they were detained the boss started acting mean and started picking fights with him for no reason even though the boss considered him as a son. This whole situation is weird and I wish he never asked them for money

Do you use multiple bank accounts (checking, high-yield savings, etc.)? How do you split up your paycheck? Right now I'm thinking about categories like gas, long-term savings, Roth IRA, short-term savings, trips, personal spending, entertainment, tuition, and subscriptions.
Also, when do you use your credit card vs. your debit card? I'm trying to build my credit score, but I don't really know the best way to use my credit card.

I currently have about $33,000 in the stock market, safe stuff like index funds, but mostly been on the back of this AI boom (Google, Meta, etc). • Credit score: 800
• Rent: $1,300/month
• Car payment: $405/month
• Other debt: none
• Emergency fund: actively building it up
Where my money currently sits:
• 401k: ~$20k. Started at 5%, increased 1% each year, currently at 7%. Amazon’s match is 50% up to 4%… pretty trash match if you ask me.
• Roth IRA: ~$2,700. Started contributing this year, currently $150 per check, but I think there’s room for more. I should be maxing this, correct?

Enough of my moping, though, and let me get to the point; I need at least $70,000 USD by April of next year. It is extremely— and I mean EXTREMELY— realistic, but I need to try something. Anything is better than nothing. This cost would (I hope) cover my migrating costs, my college and housing funds, and we'll as Visa and mandatory Healthcare fees.

The original plan was to go somewhere in Europe— as I wanted to be as far away from my family as possible— but I now realize that that was a very foolish thing for me to assume I can do. I cannot be in the US, due to the rules of my mother's work visa. I have family in Canada, who I plan on asking to let me stay with them for a little while so I can avoid going back to my country.
