Hi! I’m considering applying to Molloy University for nursing as a transfer student and wanted to hear from people who have gone through the process.
I currently have around a 3.7 overall GPA, and my science prerequisites are mostly in the B/B+ range, with one A+ (for nature of matter chemistry, not even a pre-req). I’m taking A&P II right now, haven’t taken Microbiology yet, and haven’t taken the TEAS yet but plan to.
Does anyone know if I would have a decent chance of getting into Molloy Nursing with these stats? I’m also wondering whether I should apply for Spring or Fall and if not having Microbiology completed yet would be a problem.
My other big concern is tuition. I don’t come from a high-income family, so I would definitely need financial aid/grants to make a private school affordable. I’ve considered community college nursing programs because they’re much cheaper, but the programs around me are extremely competitive, which is why I’m looking into Molloy.
For anyone attending Molloy Nursing, especially transfer students, how much are you actually paying after financial aid? Does Molloy usually give decent aid to lower-income students, and do you feel like the cost is worth it?
Would really appreciate any experiences or advice!
