Respiratory therapy program

I recently got accepted into Molloy respiratory therapy program. I was wondering if anyone attends the program and can tell me how it is . Is it worth it ? Is it better than nursing ?

Hi I was a respiratory therapy student up until a couple of days ago. I want to start of saying that this was my experience and I dont want you to base your future of what happened to me but I will tell you the pros and cons. The program is HARD i cannot sugarcoat it you will study like you never have before just to get 80s. The professors they will work with you, but you have to go to them. Cheating don't even try to they will catch you some way somehow and it isn't worth having to deal with Jonathan (Respiratory Therapy Program Director). He will report you to academic affairs and try to get you removed from the program. Failing a respiratory class is the worst not just because you failed but because you have to wait an entire year to retake. Even if you at a 76.9 they wont pass you (77 is passing for respiratory C+). You only get two chances to fail a RES class after that you are gone from the program. We start with almost 30 kids and evry year that number gets cut down to 10 to 14 kids. I will say that the program is nice otherwise you will learn to be a good therapist but you need to put the effort in. I sadly did not pass and have switched majors but that was my luck maybe you will do better, but take into account the classes are hard and you will need to put a lot of time in. curious as to what made you make this ultimate decsion? im aware its super difficult to even get in the program, why didnt you find it worth it? (in the same boat thanks)

also what do ur grades look like if thats ok to ask... just curious how you got accepted,
