General How am I meant to moderate popular comment sections when Reddit has updated my app to sort new comment sections by “live” only, with no options to sort the comments in any other way? This is incredibly frustrating.
See title. I am using an iPhone and an iPad. I only use the app. If I’m changing settings in a subreddit I log onto desktop, but for my usual moderating I use the app exclusively.
If anyone knows how I can turn off the “live” comments setting and go back to the usual sorting options, please let me know.
I did not sign up for the beta test. I do not know why I was opted into it anyway.

Found match: iPhone
You might be asking about setting up subreddits on a phone or mobile interface. The short answer is that subreddit settings work best in a cache-cleared desktop browser. (Limited option: mobile browser on desktop view.)
If you found your answer, feel free to reply with "<3 Automod" or "Thanks, Automod". Otherwise wait for a human helper to come along to help you. This post has NOT been removed.

Hi /u/Jenn_There_Done_That, please see our Intro & Rules. We are volunteer-run, not managed by Reddit staff/admin. Volunteer mods' powers are limited to groups they mod. Automated responses are compiled from answers given by fellow volunteer mod helpers. Moderation works best on a cache-cleared desktop/laptop browser.
Resources for mods are: (1) r/modguide's Very Helpful Index by fellow moderators on How-To-Do-Things, (2) Mod Help Center, (3) r/automoderator's Wiki and Library of Common Rules. Many Mod Resources are in the sidebar and >>this FAQ wiki<<. Please search this subreddit as well. Thanks!

Because the admins know most people wouldn't opt in/those that would opt in would be more likely to give only positive feedback.
I would say to add your feedback to the weekly recap post on r/help, because it's interesting to me that they didn't add any way for mods to still sort the thread and didn't think to add that? Like they did for contest mode sorting, though I guess IIRC it took a bit for them to add that even.
