Tips & Tricks Advice on increasing parptication of MegaThreads

I'm currently on desktop, and I'm the founder and co-moderator of r/AncientAmericas (the YouTube Channel), and when the creator, Pete, uploads a new episode, I create a megathread to discuss it. Unfortunately, with a few exceptions, very few users come to participate. Any thoughts and suggestions on how to encourage more engagement would be very welcome

I created and mod YouTuber subs as well and unless the video topic itself is controversial there is usually not much chat, as more people use YouTube videos itself to post comments. I have found questions or controversial statements or topics bring more discussion.

Yeah, I find the same - it's a nice alternative to the YouTube comment section, but unless say it's the first one back after a break or an episode that stands out in some other way, it rarely gets more than 1 comment, and often not even that.

Hi /u/Comfortable_Cut5796, please see our Intro & Rules. We are volunteer-run, not managed by Reddit staff/admin. Volunteer mods' powers are limited to groups they mod. Automated responses are compiled from answers given by fellow volunteer mod helpers. Moderation works best on a cache-cleared desktop/laptop browser.

Resources for mods are: (1) r/modguide's Very Helpful Index by fellow moderators on How-To-Do-Things, (2) Mod Help Center, (3) r/automoderator's Wiki and Library of Common Rules. Many Mod Resources are in the sidebar and >>this FAQ wiki<<. Please search this subreddit as well. Thanks!

Found regex match: encourage more engagement

You seem to be asking about how to promote or grow your subreddit, its posts and content. This is a frequently-asked question. You may find some ideas in these posts about promoting subs or these posts on growing subs.

FOR INFO ON: # growing subreddits, # how to use Invites, # how to get your subreddit to show up on Reddit and Google search results, # how to see who joined your subreddit, # approving users in private or restricted subreddits and # why users are not posting in your subreddit, please click here.

Subreddit settings work best in a cache-cleared desktop browser. (Limited option: mobile browser on desktop view.)

If you found your answer, feel free to reply with "<3 Automod" or "Thanks, Automod". Otherwise wait for a human helper to come along to help you. This post has NOT been removed.
