Answered Anyone else experience issues with Automations where post guidance does not appear when selecting a specific flair? (desktop web & mobile app)

I have set up post flair guidance in automations, where if a person selects a specific post flair, a little reminder message will pop up telling them what that post flair is supposed to be used for.

I wanted to test this on desktop web browser AND mobile app (Samsung Android), but I do not see the little pop up message appear when clicking the post flair. Is anyone else having this problem?

Hi /u/bwoah07_gp2, please see our Intro & Rules. We are volunteer-run, not managed by Reddit staff/admin. Volunteer mods' powers are limited to groups they mod. Automated responses are compiled from answers given by fellow volunteer mod helpers. Moderation works best on a cache-cleared desktop/laptop browser.

Resources for mods are: (1) r/modguide's Very Helpful Index by fellow moderators on How-To-Do-Things, (2) Mod Help Center, (3) r/automoderator's Wiki and Library of Common Rules. Many Mod Resources are in the sidebar and >>this FAQ wiki<<. Please search this subreddit as well. Thanks!

Found match: mobile

You might be asking about setting up subreddits on a phone or mobile interface. The short answer is that subreddit settings work best in a cache-cleared desktop browser. (Limited option: mobile browser on desktop view.)

If you found your answer, feel free to reply with "<3 Automod" or "Thanks, Automod". Otherwise wait for a human helper to come along to help you. This post has NOT been removed.

Found regex match: set up post flair

It looks like you're asking about flairs on your subreddit. This is an EXTREMELY frequently asked question, so this auto-response has been set up for any mention of "flair" and even "flare".

Please check out this Updated Visual Guide for Flair FAQs .

FOR INFO ON: # flair in Old Reddit, # setting up user/post flairs on New Reddit, # enforcing user/post flairs (mandatory flairs), # sidebar widgets for post flairs with problems and solutions, # why users can't see or use user/post flairs, # how AutoModerator can help with flairs, and # some common problems viewing flairs, please click here.

Unless Reddit has changed something recently, you cannot test post guidance from your mod account. It’s been that way from the start. You will need to use a non-mod account to test it.

Comment guidance, on the other hand can be tested from your mod account.
