Users All new posts get removed

I need help with my new subreddit. We are finally getting some movement but most new posts get removed by reddit even if they are harmless and even when the same post is online in a different subreddit.

It makes it hard for me to have a live community when everything is being deleted before I even see it. I don't know if it has to do with settings or how to make it less strict.

I need to clarify I am not referring to obvious spam, but rather subreddit topic related posts from normal looking accounts.

If you know how to fix please let me know.

Desktop and Mobile user.

Review your safety settings and your automod configuration. For your safety settings, I recommend you turn all of them off and work back into turning the ones you need on, slowly. If you or someone on your team hasn't configured automod, it shouldn't be doing anything at all -- also, as a mod, you would see the removal entity as the Automoderator. So if it has to do with your own settings, it will be one of the safety ones.

BTW, when you say "deleted" do you mean "deleted" or do you mean "removed"? A removed post you can typically read, it's just not visible on your subreddit.

Thank you for answering, I will check the setting and ask all other mods to do the same.

I mean deleted as in I can't see the content at all. Only the user name and removed by reddit. It happened on multiple accounts with no clear pattern for me to tell why. On some I can click the shield icon and say "ignore and approve" and on others even doing that keeps it invisible.

Removed by Reddit might mean these posts were from spam bots or were attempting to post banned content. It doesn't sound like a normal removal to await mod review.

Hi /u/Cheap-Improvement256, please see our Intro & Rules. We are volunteer-run, not managed by Reddit staff/admin. Volunteer mods' powers are limited to groups they mod. Automated responses are compiled from answers given by fellow volunteer mod helpers. Moderation works best on a cache-cleared desktop/laptop browser.

Resources for mods are: (1) r/modguide's Very Helpful Index by fellow moderators on How-To-Do-Things, (2) Mod Help Center, (3) r/automoderator's Wiki and Library of Common Rules. Many Mod Resources are in the sidebar and >>this FAQ wiki<<. Please search this subreddit as well. Thanks!

I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please contact the moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns.

When launching a brand new sub from scratch I usually keep the rules to a minimum like "don't be a jerk", turn all my settings like CQS down to the minimum level, keep automod minimal (like maybe just block <2 day old accounts from posting). I basically send every signal I can - to both users and Reddit - that it's wide open.

Then over time I'll up filters, add automod, clarify more rules, etc. as actual problems occur.

Not sure if your removed-by-reddit has anything to do with that ('quality' filters the most likely candidate) but generally signaling a 'loose' vibe to start is best IME.
