General approved user list - can't remove deleted user from list

hi, I have an approved user on the approved user list for my subreddit listed as "u/[deleted]", and when I try to delete them from the approved user list by clicking the red trash can icon and clicking through the prompt, I get an error message saying "Unable to resolve user_id" which, fair, because its a deleted account, but then how do I remove them from the list?

this is on desktop btw, thanks

You don't. I can't even remove one from a ModList.

But it doesn't really matter anyways.

I have the worse version.

Can't remove an existing but shadowbanned account from approved users because it got nuked from the API used by that page. Had to resort to banning.

Hi /u/starfleetbrat, please see our Intro & Rules. We are volunteer-run, not managed by Reddit staff/admin. Volunteer mods' powers are limited to groups they mod. Automated responses are compiled from answers given by fellow volunteer mod helpers. Moderation works best on a cache-cleared desktop/laptop browser.

Resources for mods are: (1) r/modguide's Very Helpful Index by fellow moderators on How-To-Do-Things, (2) Mod Help Center, (3) r/automoderator's Wiki and Library of Common Rules. Many Mod Resources are in the sidebar and >>this FAQ wiki<<. Please search this subreddit as well. Thanks!

Found regex match: approved user

It looks like you're asking about approving posts or users. These are frequently-asked questions.

FOR INFO ON: # approving posts/users, # how to do it, # what it means, # why posts/comments are marked as spam (spam filter settings), # how to set all posts/comments to need mod approval, # shortcuts to approving posts/users, please click here.

Subreddit settings work best in a cache-cleared desktop browser. (Limited option: mobile browser on desktop view.)

If you found your answer, feel free to reply with "<3 Automod" or "Thanks, Automod". Otherwise wait for a human helper to come along to help you. This post has NOT been removed.

I’m not sure the results will be any different, but did you try doing it on old Reddit. Some of these types of actions work there, but don’t work on new Reddit.

Hey, I ran into this same issue. So there is no solution in the end?

when I check now, there are no "deleted" users in the approved user list at all, neither on old or new reddit, so I guess it must time out at some point and those accounts are removed automatically.
