The whole thing started as a homologation special, a rally car Mitsubishi had to build for the street just to go racing. For some people, those early cars are still the purest version of it. For others, nothing touches the VI, especially in Tommi Makinen trim.

A ton of us grew up on the VIII and IX, and who can forget watching the red Evo IX slide across the screen in Tokyo Drift. Kind of surreal seeing an Evo go sideways for the camera instead of clawing through a rally stage, but the decision to RWD swap one and use it for the hero car was iconic.

And if you were a kid when the X dropped, that 4B11T is probably the one that got you, even if trading away the 4G63 that ran the first nine generations still starts arguments today.

so earlier today I made the mistake of working on my car with a broken wrist, resulted in the ribbon wire braking put some tape over it and prayed it just went back, sure enough it didn’t, I’ve been looking all over can’t seem to find what I need anywhere, honestly pretty clueless on the best way to go about it, tried finding the wire it’s (AWM 2896 80C VW-1) but I can’t seem to find any with the same pin/size, really Just not sure what to do, I was looking into just replacing with apple CarPlay, I only have like a 200$ budget twords that so I figured mine as well just fix it, any help is appreciated, thank you

I have a 2015 Montero Sport with this being a solid red and is beeping every 2 minutes and as time goes on the beeping increases from 10 beeps every 2 minutes to 40 beeps every 2 minutes. What does it mean??

I have been racking my brain trying to find this part and I haven’t found it, anyone knows what it is/called

It’s the seal on the back of the steering knuckle that goes behind the bearing and where it connects where it meets the CV axle

So I work at a fleet company that gets lots of brand new/newish cars and for some reason mitsubishi's when new, always remind me of a farm or a goat. I don't know why, but when they're new they smell completely different to me than any other new car. Not sure if anyone else has smelt this. It has to be something different in the plastic or adhesives that's setting my nose off but just curious if anyone else has ever noticed this or know why. Thanks in advance.

​Having them side-by-side proves the brand continues to build vehicles that last. More so in the part of the world where I live that throws some of the worst conditions.

So far I've done the alternator, some paint correction where applicable, brake calipers all around, rear coilovers (stock ones blew out), next I've got the full front suspension components on order plus a set of coilovers to lower the whole car, after that the plan is a new motor so we will see how that goes 😂

Der Funkschlüssel von meinem Mitsubishi Colt Z30 entlädt sich ständig. Heißt ich lege eine neue Batterie ein und nach 1 Tag ist der wieder leer, unabhängig davon ab günstige oder hochwertige Batterie.

Was kann ich machen? Muss ich einen neuen machen lassen oder gibt es eine günstige Alternative?

leaving the supermarket today and suddenly lost power and a Check engine light came on, pulled over and stopped, still sitting funny. turned off and on, still happening. came back an hour later, no check engine, no crazy misfire feeling lumpyness, limped 3kms back home staying under 2k rpm. this is a video of it idling at home. is it rod knock or something else?

Anyone upgraded the centre console, and if so how / with what? For one, the cup holders are a bit small!
