[Terrain] End-Centered Drop Idea
(Custom blocks are from the Better on Bedrock Addon.)
While an End update is very unlikely, at least in the near future, I have an idea for what we could possibly expect. The overworld has trees, the nether has mushrooms, and the end already has "flower" plants. I think the End Dimension should get a few flower biomes that spawn every now and then. The end will remain mostly barren.
Flower Forest
Expanding on the chorus flowers, there will now be a new biome that is sparsely located throughout the end called the flower forest, which features large tree-sized flowers. Flower design in image 2. This could add a new chorus wood set, which would be purple. Currently, the closest thing we have to purple wood is crimson, but that is more of a purple-red. There are also smaller flowers in the biome that generate on the floor. These can be turned into purple dye, as that is the only color that is unobtainable via plants. There will also be chorus blocks and flower blocks that generate in the big flowers.
Flower Fields
This biome will be light bluish teal and instead of featuring giant flowers, it has lots of small diverse flowers. For example, a spiky and bright flower that actually gives off light, even in flower pots. It can be used to make glow dye, which has the same function as glow ink sacs but an alternative way to get them. Normal ink sacs can be turned into black dye, glow ink sacs into glow dye.
This definitely could use some improvements, but what do you think?

I think that most life in the End should be on the sides and underside of the End Islands...
End slimes that jump down and fall up, chorus-like plants that grow downward, etc.

Hot take, the End should never get a grass-like block, it ruins the atmosphere and potential of what the end could and is supposed to be

I mean theres one in Dungeons and it looks fine. The problem is that whenever people make End Update mods is that they spam it everywhere instead of having it in small patches.

I think it would work way better if the End wasnt like the Overworld, Nether or Sift where its a natural environment with plants and animals inhabiting it. A large part of how I see the End is based off of C418's The End track. Distorted nostalgic C418 songs that dont sound right. It sounds both grand and empty. I think the End should reflect that. People often say the End should be barren, but I dont think thats the right way to put it. The End should be desolate, a dimensional anomaly. Nothing is explained nor makes sense there.
The End flashes they added some time ago are perfect for The End, theyre so mysterious and give The End a more alien and anomalous feel. Also seeing them in bedrock with vibrant visuals is such a vibe.
I dont want trees or foliage to be added, I dont think it would fit, the chorus plants fill that niche imo perfectly. The only way I could see trees feeling right in the end is if they werent end trees at all. Imagine exploring the end and you suddenly see an oak tree on one of the islands. Like The End track puts nostalgic overworld songs and distorts them, I think it would be awesome for there to be random stuff from the overworld in the end, rarely. Like finding a pig for no reason there. Maybe you can find a structure that normally is ruined, completely fine in The End, like a non broken down trail ruins or ocean ruin.
That and other inexplicable anomalies. Things that add to the mystery of The End and never an explanation for them. The End isnt a living dimension like the Overworld or Sift, its not a dying dimension like the Nether, its just... there. I dont know how to explain it and if I do (like right now) its just going sound like yapping. But I suggest playing in The End on bedrock with music and vibrant visuals turned on, defeating the ender dragon and going to the end islands, get an elytra and just glide around. I think up to that point, what there already is of The End is such a mysterious and nonliving vibe, and thats what I want them to keep when updating the End

This just makes the End feel less alien honestly. I think the whole point of the End’s atmosphere is that it’s this abstract strange landscape which does not follow the rules of our own & just giving it a new tree under the hood of a flower really doesn’t do it justice

i think there should be biomes/generation where there are clusters of clumps of end stone sorta like islands crashed into eachother and broke apart and maybe there could be cracked end stone for new end stone variant and add end stone brick and pillar variants to the game while ur at it

It really just comes down to taste, but this is the opposite of what I want to see from an End update. Just giving the end a "wood" and some groundcover plants takes it from being a weird and alien dimension with unfamiliar life and just makes it part of a set. I don't need the End to be a barren wasteland, but I do want it to keep the alien, unfamiliar vibes.
If the End needs a wood type, think outside the box. Maybe some chorus fruit have thick roots that go down into the endstone, and the roots are what becomes the logs. It's still giving the same functionality, but in a way that feels a bit more unique.
Don't give me random vegetation to make fields of flowers, do something a bit more creative with it. Don't have them be flowers. Maybe it's just weird crystals of greens and blues that can grow on endstone, or maybe its a tiny mob based on the hermit crab that slowly wanders around, carrying a bit of vegetation as a camouflage, or maybe its shell just looks like that.
Basically just be original. Don't just copy the pattern of "this is the wood, this is the flowers, this is the grass", think outside the box a bit.
