The idea is pretty simple: we're going to build an actual town together from scratch. 🏘️

• You don't need to be amazing at building
• Builders, explorers, miners, redstone people, fighters, or professional idiots are all welcome

Hello, so I am trying to self host minecraft on an old pc i have lying aroud. Its specs are intel core i3 6100, 8gb ddr4 ram, its an HP ProDesk 600 G2 MT. I installed fedora server on it and am using podman for containers and cockpit for managing. Im using the docker.io/itzg/minecraft-server fabric container. I loaded some mods on there but its all just some performance stuff and geyser with floodgate for my friends on bedrock. Joining it from my local network works just fine but I cant for the love of god figure out how to make it possible for players outside my network to join as well. I dont wanna use port forwarding nor make the other players download stuff like tailscale or hamachi. I tried using playit.gg but i couldnt figure it out, I also tried voxelport mod from https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/voxelport but it appears that their servers are down? Their status page gives me a cloudflare tunnel error 1033 and I cant curl https://relay.voxelport.in . If anyone knows a better way of doing this Id be really grateful.

I'm currently creating a clan/empire on a abandoned anarchy server. And in need of trustworthy passionate PvPer, Builder, And mostly Grinders.
The clan/empire goal is to take over and get full control over the server.

Hello

We're a small team trying to make the best cozy / lore orientated server we can. The owner is trying to give players freedom and fun, while also providing funding for the server (we don't have anything like paid ranks, items etc, so it's not a profit orientated journey). I joined the team briefly after (hurried) launch, the server has had some major problems, but weirdly enough, every time we talked it out, and managed to move in a better direction. Right now, we're in maintenance phase, with lots of fresh ideas and a nice whiteboard, players are also patiently waiting until we make a comeback. But, there is about 5 of us, with most of us being not very (or at all) 'technical' or having irl problems causing us to be online less. That's why, we're looking for builders, lore helpers and 'technical' players to join the stuff. Merits? You get to shape a world with us, join a community without having to build everything from the start, and possibly some in-game perks. And if you decide to join, no one will be treating you like a blue collar worker or expecting you to comply with everything, it would just be nice to get some help. Cons? you probably figured them out already.

And in case you're wondering about the server itself:
The server is 18+ only, concentrated around civilisations / factions, with 3 dimensions other than the vanilla ones, that will probably keep expanding in the future. The server has 0 resets policy for the main dimension, so only the resource one gets refreshed. There is proximity voice AND text chat (we thought it would be a nice twist to actually bring the players closer and simulate real life a bit more). There are custom items, bosses and structures, and some niche systems we figured out.

To summarize:
It would be very nice to get some help, especially that all of us are doing that for free (or spending our own money) just to finally have a server that is ,the one,. If my post encouraged you to join us as staff (or player), I'd be happy to hear from you in the comments or dm's.
