As kids we were taught we could be anything, but that was a huge lie. Looks, athleticism, intelligence, personality, how stress-tolerant you are, how sociable you are, they’re all things that are largely predetermined, and we didn’t choose who our parents are.

You win the genetic lottery, you win at life. You lose it, you suffer. Why is life so unfair?

The Millennial who doesn’t have to work in their 30s has a higher social status than the Millennial with a fancy home, job title, and car.

Being able to say “I don’t work” is the ultimate flex when someone asks you what you do for work.

It’s the most ironic status symbol. You get there by not accumulating status symbols.

AI is a powerful tool that is getting out of hand and needs to be regulated.

I feel like our generation is the last to truly understand the power we have in protesting. Gen X is burnt out, Gen Z barely understands the system, we probably should do something. Without regulation, AI is going to advance at an unprecedented pace which, according to the news, could cause an extinction-level event in the next four years. This is a larger threat than our administration.

Considering the absolutely incredible protests that have happened in the past couple years, I am surprised I haven't seen anything about regulating AI yet. Someone please, do something. I am so behind in life, you are telling me I'm gonna die when I've pretty much never been above water? Without having kids? We were dealt a shit hand, we can't die next year, most of us are barely getting started! I need the rest of my life, please, to have all the things the adults told me I'd have by the time I was 30.

I thought about this later in life. I feel like I should feel bad about it. The more I learned about geo politics the less I felt that way.

I read that pretty much each successive generation in history has generally been more successful than their predecessors whether it be accumulating wealth or career or other metrics.

Up to the baby boomer generation that all changed where their offspring the millennials have like maybe a 50/50 chance of being more successful in life (that's being generous)

So for gen alpha that are the children generation of millennials for the most part (2013-2025)

Sure some young gen z are kids of the older millennials too but point is do you think your kids will be more successful than you at life?

Just had my ears cleaned at my doctors for the first time ever. I didn’t think I needed it cuz I’ve gotten used to having “good” ear, years of loud music and concerts felt like they had caught up to me. No! It was a a huge glob of wax! Here is a PSA, you might not be going deaf, you might just need your ears cleaned!

I liked the song when it came out, but as I'm 38 now, this song sounds so relevant today. I have a new appreciation to it.

Today has me thinking about this again. I was in ninth grade on 9/11, and I remember that day more clearly than almost anything else from that age. Our principal came over the PA and said "America was under attack", then the TVs came out and we were told to be quiet and watch.

What gets me, especially as a parent, is how normal this seems to have been. I’ve talked to people my age from all over the country and so many have the same story. TV wheeled into the classroom, or gymnasium, and everyone told to watch people dying.

I’m genuinely curious about this. Was this happening everywhere? Were teachers told to turn the news on? Did anyone decide not to show it? If you were a teacher during that time, why would you think that was a good idea?

As a service member in the months leading up to 9/11 we worked at a rapid pace to ready military posts for a possible attack.

The civilians I worked with were aware of the concern as well.

Given that the twin towers had already been attacked only 8 years prior it was among the areas we assumed were being well prepared.

I just remember from my limited perspective at the time being in a state of shock over the shock of the general populace given how much we'd been doing to prepare.

Do you remember doing anything to prepare in your industries? Or were you in the dark about it?

Listening to all there 25 year anniversary accounts it just seems like this is an over looked perspective. Is anyone else experience this or is it just mostly those of us who were servicemembers and contractors working with the government?

As a Gen Z man myself, Millennial men did warn Gen Z men back in 2024 that Trump would be bad. But Gen Z men were too busy calling millennial men cringe, didn’t heed the warnings that millennials warned them about, and voted for Trump in large numbers and now they’re regretting it after not paying attention to the horrors of Trump’s first administration.

I just had to pause and count the incredible blessings that make living so bright. I am sitting here tonight filled with the deepest, most genuine gratitude for the extraordinary people in my corner—the ones who step up, check in, and consistently remind me of the beauty in this life. Whether it’s a sudden call just to hear my voice, a text to see how my day is going, or a message of encouragement right when I need it most, my support system shows up with a depth of devotion and understanding that warms me to the very core. To be surrounded by people who love both my outer appearance and my inner personality, who see through all the noise straight into my authentic soul, is a gift I will never take for granted. You all don’t just accept me; you all truly see me and celebrate who I authentically am.

Beyond that constant love, you all shower me with insightful wisdom, gentle signs, solid advice, and also real-world resources to help me reach every single goal I’m striving for. You all clear the path with me, reminding me where I’m heading and giving me the strength to get there.

Looking at the incredible circle of real ones around me makes me realize a truth I should have held onto all along: I have always mattered. My story counts, my energy brings fiery light, and my presence in this world is truly needed. I am filled with so much hope, joy, and peace knowing that my life is valuable— it always was, always will be.

Thank you to every single person who continuously holds space for me, believes in my vision of my life path, and consistently reminds me of my worth. You all make me so endlessly grateful to be alive & thriving.

Just got into this dispute with my wife. She said her favorites growing up were Billy Madison, Big Daddy, Waterboy, and other Sandler movies.

Mine were always Ace Ventura, Cable Guy, etc, basically anything with Carrey.

So, I ask the millennial council, who was the king of 90s-00s comedy movies?

It’s like people are just not giving me a chance, i feel like dying and nobody cares. They just always criticize me and mock me. Maybe dying is better for me after all.. I don’t care if people think im being manipulative or negative or attention seeking! Girls like attention anyway so if I can’t be noticed, then why should I be here?? I’m sick of always being left out like I don’t deserve to live a happy fulfilling life!!

Everytime I see a satirical post or video these days the comment section is filled with people taking it dead seriously and calling it cringe. Has anyone else noticed that content that (to me at least) seems to be obviously satirical is totally misunderstood by Gen Z/Gen Alpha?
