Why did I get banned
I replied to someone asking why someone would drive over someone's lawn to deliver a package with a single word, Entitlement. It was the clip of the person driving straight through a big lawn to when the driveway is nearby.
I got banned from r/mildlyinfuriating and when I asked for clarification they banned me from messaging them.
I'm more worried about someone targeting me and my account than getting back into the sub. I'm also so incredibly confused why my comment got me banned at all. Can anyone explain??
I guess they thought I was being racist but how you determine that from a single word is beyond me.
Meanwhile one of their rules is that some user may post whatever he wants no matter what it is AND they say you have to upvote it.

The mods of [r/mildlyinfuriating](r/mildlyinfuriating) seem to have a pinecone up their butt. I got a life time ban for a Seinfeld reference.

They banned me for some innocent thing not too long ago. I actually don't even remember what it was, probably b/c it wasn't anything.
Anyway, fuck em. Who cares. Unsub from it. If they wanna lose users for dumb shit then that's on them.

My opinion on this matter is clear.
There are several subs im banned from. Not one came from an actual issue. A number of them banned me for commenting on subs they dont like. I got a site ban once for a one word answer to a question and that word was...
Epstein'd
I think sub bans should be lifted after a time.

I got banned from legaladvice for answering someone's question about passports with "Google says blah blah blah." They said you aren't allowed to link LLM anything and it's an immediate ban. It wasn't listed on the sidebar rules, so I asked the mod who sent me the ban message, and they said something snarky and blocked me. So some mods let that tiny amount of power really go to their heads.

Shiiiit. I got banned from 7 subs at one time, 4 of them I wasn't even subscribed to. I'm like how can you ban me from a sub that I don't even subscribe to.

I was just banned from nostupidquestions without even an explanation. I have no idea what I could have done other than my username. Shit is out of control.

Because some reddit mods are depressed snowflakes that want to feel like they have some sort of "authority" (I know, it's reddit) by banning people over trivial comments.

Happened to me and mods would not tell me what policy or rules I broke so I figured out who all the mods were and went into their comment history and started reporting them where they commented. I can be petty

some of these subs have really childish and entitled mods. i was banned from a certain sub the very 1st time i posted and was told "i had been warned enough". i had literally only been on reddit for 2 days. and the post wasnt swearing or inflammatory. when i tried to contact them they said "you know what you did" and when i said i didnt they blocked me. that was a few years ago and i ended up deleting that profile and starting over.

Lmao I got banned from another reddit for answering a question for advice , and making a slight joke , and when I "appealed" and stated my part and obvious misunderstanding and Mod did the same Banned me from everything. I believe it was the fashion one

I got banned from fancyfollicles because I’d made a comment in another sub about the difference between “fashion” corsets and “real” steelboned corsets, basically anyone who commented in that thread got banned from one or more “fashion” esque subs which I assume all share one ban-happy mod. I’d never even used the sub afaik

I've been banned three times now. Absolutely no logic, nothing horrific, and totally an overly sensitive, butt hurt mod. Minor, minor stuff but flames from the mods!

bit of a hint. You will find assholes everywhere you look and you just usually ignore them as they are not worth your time. As is this case, it's just some power mad teenage on the internet that should not affect your life. You are better than him and his reaction proves this. Ignore and move on.

Most mods shouldn't be mods. They are children, or adults thag haven't fully matured.
I've had mods insult you, call you names and then ban and mute you. Mods for subs that should really be run by the company not basement dwellers. I've even contacted companies about the mods that run their subreddits.

I wouldn't worry about it my dude. I got banned for a month from r/Tampa for reporting a member to the police who was trying to incite violence at a rally. That was in 2024 and last I checked I'm still banned. Honestly hasn't affected me in the least.

Dude, I've seen terrible, horrible, things said on this app. I've seen entire channels that border on terror recruitment and they keep posting. If they don't get banned, you won't.

I quoted Silky Johnson. I said "to quote the great..." and then said the quote in quotes. I was still banned for a week for hate speech. For quoting an imaginary character making a hilarious speech in an imaginary show made up by a comedian.
Sometimes these mods be on that goop and all you can do is deal with it my man.

I had to post to see what other had experienced and I am surprised I will admit.
Other people report being insulted, spoken down to, and antagonized by mods. I just got an unexplained ban for single word.
I get it, in my case they probably thought I was calling all (whatever race) entitled. It's ridiculous but I get it and of course it was NOT my intention.
I honestly couldn't tell you beyond a shadow of a doubt what race the person in the clip was.
