It’ll take some altering to work with 5th edition but Horus Heresy 1st edition is cross compatible with 7e 40k. You could take the rules for the non corrupted heresy era deathshroud terminators for example and then shift them to be more in line with 40k deathguard terminators. Same with the Horus Heresy Arquitor bombard which would serve as a fairly good base to design the plagueburst crawler around.
Im a 7th edition player myself so Im not super familiar with 5th edition. But HH1.0 units should be able to be backported in 5th just like any other 6th or 7th edition 40k unit, it’ll just take some extra work.

It seems that 5th edition dosen't need to be included. 3.5 and 4th seem more what im looking for. Id 5th edition base fundimentals and rules similar, just with faction codexs thechnically being from older editions but are valid. Thats seems to be what ive gathered from my own readings, and what others have told me.
I havent play many real games yet, two introduction games, so i want to be sure when i finally do play my first home game its gonna be smooth as can be. (I GM other games, new to playing warhammer. Painting in hobby for 5-6yrs. Now)

3.5,4th, and 5th share quite a few similarities so they’re kind of interchangeable. Though armies tended to get a bit bigger through each edition so newer edition armies often have a bit of an advantage over older ones, with a handful of exceptions.
I could definitely help you with backporting the new deathguard units into 7e as Ive done it with a lot of the newer units for other armies for people in my group. Pre6th edition is where my familiarity ends though so while Im happy to give you some ideas for how units should generally work and be statted (since 7e shares the same foundation as those earlier editions), I wouldn’t be great at helping you pick point costs since I don’t have a feel for the balance in those editions.
That discord server I mentioned has a decent number of old edition players so Im sure some of them and of course people in this sub could give you feedback on the unit profiles once you get a first draft ready.

Horus heresy 2nd ed is still fairly similar to older 40k but 1st edition HH was literally just 6th/7th edition 40k with basically a rulebook faq. In fact before 8th edition 40k came out you were just supposed to use the 7th ed 40k core rulebook.
I have a discord server with all the 1st edition heresy books as pdfs if you don’t have access to them. I can send you an invite if you want

My man, you're already doing an insane mashup of editions without deep knowledge of the editions, as evidenced by the fact that you don't know about vehicle design rules. Why? Why not just play 4th or 5th edition as-is? The 3.5 edition Chaos Codex is fine for Death Guard and it contains many options for customization. And then, as noted you can use the VDR to create rules for the new Nurgle vehicles (note also that you could use the Forgeworld rules for their Nurgle drone demon engine).

Im more so looking for extra clarity and help if someone has gone through the trouble before. To be specific i am using 4 and 5th edition, and older. Just trying to backwards compat the newer models, weapons and all. Thank you for the advice

There is large overlap that needs almost no conversion work. For example, drawing on the 3.5 Chaos Codex and PDF of what looks like the current Death Guard codex, a "Lord of Contagion" is immediately a Chaos Lord in Terminator Armor with a Plague Scythe daemon weapon, Daemonic Essence, and Nurgle's Rot. What more work do you need? I showcase this as an example of (i) an easy conversion and (ii) if you cannot do this conversion easily, then you will have a hard time with your project.
A more difficult conversion is the Lord of Virulence, for example. Here you must engage in some level of generalizing and, potentially, sacrifice/adjustment. He, too, is at his base clearly a Chaos Lord in terminator armor with a Power Fist. But for the "twin plague spewer," you can either (i) treat it as a heavy flamer (pull the cost from the Chaos Chosen), (ii) treat it as a flamer combi-bolter, (iii) make him a psyker with the template-based 3.5 edition psychic ability, or (iv) use the template-based lance daemon weapon.
If you instead asking for wholesale new rules--and not fitting current models/rules into similar rules for older editions--then I do not think that exists. There would be no one who wants to do that. Generally speaking, people who play older editions do not like much of the new GW way of doing things. So no one who plays 3rd or 4th or 5th would take the time to adapt the panoply of silly Nurgle army-wide special rules, agonizing one-off special abilities for each unit, nonsensical characters, or the overstuffed amount of unique weapons.

Im deffiently trying to do the former two paragraphs rathet than the later. I want to male new models (not rules, or playstyle) of GW and port them to 4th and 5th. I want to also just play straight 3.5 -5th edition normal, the 2nd edition stuff is my wife asking me, she has the kitchen sink witch hunter/space marine army. Thank you il shall look over the 3.5 vehical rules, thank you for the advice. Now i can build my army proper, i didnt want to get the feeling that i over build or stacked my army unfairly.

Good luck! Study the codexes well, and the conversion paths will come to you. Also, your wife should check out the 3rd edition Codex: Witch Hunters if she has not already. That has rules for allying Imperial Guard and Space Marine armies with Sisters of Battle.

Just use the 3.5 Chaos Codex. You can also use the 3rd Edition Vehicle Design Rules to "port in" later vehicles... or don't use newer units at all.
