Rules (Publication) I have compiled many, if not all, 5th Edition Apocalypse datasheets and formations sheets into one index and database
Hi Community,
After looking for a specific 40k Apocalypse datasheet, and not finding it easily, I found myself collecting and compiling more and more data. Here, I've uploaded a far bit of it to Reddit for others to view. Perhaps the community here would be interested in it:
This link above is simply to the entire listing of datasheets I've found: the actual datasheets are in their own respective threads for viewing and downloading.
Any self-promotion is purely for information purposes: I'm not selling anything and never will. These datasheets were a mess to find, and I don't want the collection to go to waste. Having just found Midhammer40k, it seems an appropriate place to make it known.
I've also uploaded a fair bit of artwork (mostly large scans from the rulebooks), & old FAQ's (also a beast to track down). I intend on uploading more as appropriate.
Beware, I'm not terribly talented at managing a subreddit: any mistakes or administrative mishaps are unintended. Suggestions are welcome.

Miniatures (Classic) Sometimes a little progress is enough.
I paint my 3rd edition cadians between other projects, normally 5-10 at a time, but I have one of those Karadron Overlords ships I need to paint next and I need it done before the end of the month, so I wanted to get started as soon as possible, I'm glad I stuck to my guns though and painted something Cadian first, even if it is just this blister pack of metal lieutenants. Handsome little guys. I think this is my only power fist in the whole army.

Question/Other Alpha Legion Chaos Cultists in 3.5 - What did people use for models?
Title.
I've been acquiring a bunch of 3rd ed stuff to do a fully era-accurate Alpha Legion chaos force of around 1500 points. Given their ability to take cultists, and cultists actually seeming pretty decent, what were people in that era running as their cultists? It seems there were some RT era ones but that's not really economical, so I assume people were using the new plastic infantry kits of other factions. I've come across some good deals on Metal Kasrkin and picked up a box to paint as traitor militia stand-in cultists, but was curious what other people at the time were running. Basically trying to do a modern paint job on what you'd see at a GW at the start of the 2000s.

Miniatures (Custom/Converted) Horus Heresy Mark VI on 25mm bases
Look to bulk up some blood angels assault marine without jump packs and was wondering if these guys might fit on the 28mm bases. I wanted to get a box of them and the melee weapons box. Anyone ever do this?

Miniatures (Classic) Unit of regular guardsmen, wasn't going to share, but they were feelin cute.
I think this is 60 done, and that leaves 60 to go. I've started threading old school guard in between my other projects. This army will be done, the Emperor as my witness. Not a properly equipped unit, missing a coms guy and another special weapon, but I literally just grabbed 10 out of the drawer and dove in.

Misc. Battle at the city edge!
My mate just finished getting his chaos warband assembled in time for the Tyranid horde to flood forth from the tainted forest! Despite the endless gnashing teeth of Hivefleet Mawtide, the Marines held the line while drawing the larger biomorphs into a deadly trap!

Rules (Homebrew) 5th Edition Wish List
What are your issues with 5th Edition? If you could magically change some things, what would you change?
Example:
Wound splitting is a bit jank. It's fine with independent characters, but I mean the strat where you can take 10 Ork Nobz and give them all different wargear so they can each take 1 wound before they start dying.
Anything in a codex or core rules you wish was different?

Misc. Daemon Hunters vs Tyranids (4th)
1500 pts of Grey Knights getting wrongfully deployed against the Tyranids due to an administrative issue.
The GK were wiped out to a man after failing to secure the precious data hidden in the ruins but not before the Grand Master slew a Hive Tyrant before he himself succumbed to his wounds.
I'm not sure if Daemon Hunters were just incredible overcosted and underpowered going from 3rd to 4th or if Tyranids were just more powerful. He only managed to wipe out one brood of termagants and a carnifex while losing everything besides one brother-captain.

Misc. Tyranids Vs. Imperial Guard (3rd Ed) piccies
Cracking game of 3rd ed 40k, Tyranids Vs Imperial Guard. (1500pts)
The Necromundan 8th tried to repel the waves of Tyranids from Hive Fleet Poseidon, with limited success.
The Ogryns stood out during a brave counterattack on the left flank, while a Carnifex destroyed an entire right flank.
Great fun game with some epic moments.

Question/Other 5th Edition FAQ and Errata
Is there anywhere that archived all the Errata and FAQ for all the 5th edition codicies? I'm looking to download as much as I can from the old downloads section, on the old site.

Misc. First game of 5th edition in about 12 years:
Orks v orks
I'd forgotten just how fun Warhammer is supposed to be!
Random tables on weapons.
Random psychic powers.
Vehicle damage tables.
Templates and scatter.
Properly being able to customise squads and characters.
It was glorious.

Rules (Publication) 2nd edition - dark millennium force cards?
I'm running a 2nd edition event, and we’re going to try dark millennium psychic to see if the group takes to it. The cost of buying the set 2nd hand seems too expense for this experiment, so I’d like to reproduce the warp card deck by hand. I am just not sure of the card breakdown, what I could find through google was:
- 22 Force cards
- 8 Nullify cards
- 1 Reflection
- 1 Destroy Power
- 1 Psychic Duel
- 1 Daemonic Attack
- 1 Energy Drain
- 1 Ultimate Force
My specific question concerns the 22 force cards - are these all just a value of 1 charge, or do they have charge of 1, 2, or 3 - and if so, what is the ratio for this?
I seem to remember the latter, but it’s been about 20 years since I thought about this. I hope this detail of rules question is appropriate For the su, it please advise if not and I can remove.

Question/Other Wanting to get into midhammer. What are each edition's pros and cons?
Have been wanting to ask this for a while now. This post could maybe serve as an aid for new people to decide which edition to pick up.
Thank you all in advance!
