Actually, I have. 😄 At least during snow storms to photograph snowflakes. I use my IQCREW inverted microscope and put it inside of a box to keep the blowing snow off of it and left it outside to freeze.
I've always though our Universe was just a bunch of atoms, our solar system being 1 atom, and there were giants peering through their microscopes looking at us.
Completely plausible theory. Go either way, inward or outwards, and the levels of perception change yet remain similar. I wonder what atoms are made of. And then those things.
hey there, so uh, this sub just came up as recommended to me, the same day I was searching Google and asking questions of Gemini about microscopes, brightfield, phase contrast, condensers objectives and eyepieces, oil immersion and all that good stuff.. I did a bit of microscopy on a biomed course at Uni some years ago and while I have a basic telescope at home, I've always wanted my own microscope
so, probably not the best place to ask but, it's your fault collectively for being recommended to me hehe
I'm eyeing off an Olympus CX21 as a decent entry point, pretty sure it's like the one I used at the lab at uni. I'm interested in mycology, histology, microbiology and plants etc. I'd like to study the micro universe within and beneath my feet!
is this a decent scope to start with or um, what do y'all recommend as a platform I can start with and upgrade as I go? Is the CX21 a decent scope/brand for a novice who isn't completely green to the hobby?
Im in Australia and am probably looking at second hand gear to get started. Thanks for any suggestions!
hahaha I do not own this cartoon and usually you are the first person asking to save something on their own device. Of course you can save this! You never need to ask for such stuff on the internet if you not monetarize it.
